If you want to upscale and clean up footage with Topaz Labs' video tools and pay with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks you through what to buy, how checkout works and what to do if your card is declined. Before you start, note one important detail: the original Topaz Video AI (final version 7.1.5) was discontinued in September 2025. An owned perpetual license still runs, but it is no longer sold as a subscription. The actively developed, subscription-based app is now simply called Topaz Video. If you are buying today, you are almost certainly paying for a Topaz Video subscription, so that is what this guide covers.
What you need before you buy
- A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed, plus a virtual card showing its number, expiry date and CVV. If you have not signed up yet, you can register with Coinepay and create a card from the iOS app or Android app.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the full amount in one charge. Topaz does not accept split payments, so the whole total must clear at once.
- Your real name and billing address. Topaz asks for a name and mailing address for payment verification, and this needs to match the details on file for your card.
- A working email address. Your first purchase automatically creates a Topaz account using the checkout email, and Topaz emails you a temporary password.
Choose the right Topaz plan
Topaz Video is sold as Personal or Topaz Video Pro. It is also bundled into Topaz Studio and Topaz Studio Pro, while Enterprise is a contact-sales option with no public price. Personal licenses cover commercial use by organizations under US$1 million in annual revenue; Pro adds rights for larger organizations. A perpetual Video AI license does not unlock the new Topaz Video subscription, so do not expect your old license to carry over.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Topaz lists Topaz Video Personal at US$299 billed annually, US$39/month on an annual commitment, or US$59 month-to-month; Topaz Video Pro at US$699 annually or US$74/month on an annual commitment. Topaz Studio is listed at US$399 annually and Studio Pro at US$799 annually. Prices change and vary by region and tax, so always confirm the current figure on the official Topaz Labs pricing page before you pay.
Topaz lists and processes purchases in USD. A price your browser shows converted to local currency is not a confirmed local-currency checkout price, and taxes plus your bank's conversion charges can change what you actually pay.
Step-by-step: buying with your Coinepay card
- Open your Coinepay app and check the virtual card details and available balance. Make sure the balance comfortably covers the plan total, including any tax.
- Go to the official Topaz Labs site and open the pricing page. Select Personal, Pro or a Studio plan and your billing cadence (annual upfront, annual billed monthly, or month-to-month).
- Sign in if you already have a Topaz account. Topaz advises existing customers to log in so the checkout shows the correct price for their account.
- Review the checkout summary. Confirm the product, the next renewal date and amount, any applicable tax and the total before entering payment details.
- Enter your email, name and mailing address for payment verification. Use the same address associated with your Coinepay card.
- Choose card as your payment method and enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Topaz lists credit/debit cards, full-value credit-card gift cards and PayPal; some regions also show Alipay, Przelewy24 or iDEAL, and direct bank transfer can be requested by invoice.
- Complete any security step. If your card uses 3-D Secure, approve the confirmation in your Coinepay app.
- Submit the payment and check your email for the Topaz order confirmation and, for a first purchase, the temporary password to access your Topaz account.
Topaz does not publish which card networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, UnionPay and so on) are accepted beyond saying credit/debit cards work. If you want to confirm your card is suitable before buying, contact Coinepay support to check your card details, and review Topaz's current checkout guide.
If your card is declined
Topaz does not publish a specific list of bank-decline codes, so a decline usually traces back to one of these causes. Work through them in order.
Insufficient balance
Because split payments are not allowed, the entire total must be available on one card. Annual plans in particular are large single charges. Top up your Coinepay card so the balance exceeds the plan price plus any tax, then retry.
Billing address mismatch
The name and mailing address you enter are used for payment verification. If they do not match what is on file for your card, the charge can fail. Re-enter your real billing details carefully and make sure they match your Coinepay profile.
3-D Secure / two-factor authentication
If a confirmation prompt does not appear or times out, the payment can stall. Keep the Coinepay app open and approve the request promptly. Note that Topaz warns cards requiring two-factor identification will likely not work for automatic renewals even if the first charge succeeds, so plan to manage renewals manually if that applies.
Expired or autofilled details and stalled checkouts
Topaz documents problems caused by expired or browser-autofilled payment details, purchases that stall and PayPal failing to return to checkout. Its suggested checks are to sign in again, clear the relevant cookies and cache, and try a compatible browser. Type your Coinepay card details manually rather than relying on autofill.
Region and tax checks
Regional payment options and VAT vary by billing address. From July 2026 Topaz applies 20% VAT to subscriptions with a UK billing address at checkout and renewal, with the VAT shown in GBP on invoices while the remainder stays in USD; in the EU, Topaz applies the billing country's VAT rate unless a qualifying VAT number validates. Always use your real billing country. A definitive list of countries where Topaz Video subscriptions can be bought is not published, so if checkout blocks your region, that is a Topaz policy, not a card setting. Never use a false address or location workaround to get around it.
Managing payment, renewal and refunds
After purchase, your billing address, saved payment methods, VAT settings, transactions and subscriptions live on the Studio Account Page. To switch the card on an active plan, go to Subscriptions, select the active subscription and choose Change Payment; saved or new cards, PayPal and ACH Direct Debit are documented there.
To cancel annual-upfront or month-to-month plans, use Studio Account Page → Subscriptions → Manage → Cancel Subscription; access continues to the end of the paid period. That self-service flow does not apply to annual plans billed monthly. Topaz recommends cancelling at least 24 hours before renewal, since cancelling on the renewal date may not stop that charge. Cancellation is separate from a refund.
Topaz's refund policy asks you to email [email protected] within two days of purchase for a full refund; it excludes retroactive refunds for earlier subscription months, generally excludes used cloud credits, and returns approved refunds to the original payment method. An annual-commitment subscription cannot be cancelled or refunded mid-term without an additional fee. Because approved refunds go back to the card you paid with, keep that Coinepay card active until any refund window closes.

FAQ
Can I still buy Topaz Video AI, or do I need Topaz Video?
Topaz Video AI was discontinued in September 2025 and is no longer sold as a subscription, though an owned perpetual license still works. If you are buying now, you will subscribe to Topaz Video (Personal or Pro), which a Video AI license does not unlock.
What card details do I enter at Topaz checkout?
Enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, plus your real name and mailing address for payment verification. Use the same billing details on file for your card, and type them manually rather than using browser autofill.
Why was my card declined at Topaz?
Common causes are insufficient balance (Topaz does not allow split payments), a billing-address mismatch, an unconfirmed 3-D Secure prompt, or expired/autofilled details. Top up your card, re-enter matching details, approve any confirmation in the Coinepay app, and retry.
Does Topaz accept my card network?
Topaz's checkout guide says credit and debit cards work but does not list specific networks. To confirm your Coinepay card is suitable before buying, contact Coinepay support to check your card details.
How do I get a refund if I paid with my Coinepay card?
Email [email protected] within two days of purchase for a full refund. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, so keep your Coinepay card active until the refund window closes. Annual-commitment plans may carry an extra fee to cancel mid-term.
