You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at Webex checkout when buying an eligible subscription through webex.com. Before you start, check one important Webex rule: a card used directly at checkout must be issued in the same country as your Webex tenant. This guide covers direct webex.com purchases, not tickets sold through Webex Events or subscriptions bought from a partner.
What you need before buying
- A Coinepay account and completed identity verification. You must register and complete KYC before using Coinepay card services. You can register with Coinepay and manage your account in its 24/7 dashboard or mobile app.
- Your virtual card details. Coinepay issues a card number, expiry date and CVV instantly. Have those details ready, and check your available funds against the full amount shown at Webex checkout, including any applicable taxes. A subscription may also renew, so review the renewal schedule before ordering.
- Your real account and billing information. Use your own identity and accurate billing details. Check that the name and address entered at checkout match the details associated with your payment method.
- A country-eligible card. Cisco requires a card used directly at checkout to be issued in the same country as the Webex tenant. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets this requirement before you buy. Do not change your stated country or use an invented address to get around the rule.
Check the Webex pricing page for your country before choosing a plan. Plan names vary by market: the U.S. page lists Webex Free, Webex Meet, Webex Suite (Meet + Call) and Webex Enterprise, while pages in several other markets list Webex Starter and Webex Business. Prices vary by region; rely on the official Webex pricing page and the amount displayed in your cart rather than assuming that similarly named plans have the same features.
How to sign up and pay on webex.com
- Open webex.com and choose your route. If you want to try Webex first, select “Start for free.” Cisco says the free sign-up does not require card or payment details. If you are ready for a paid plan, find the plan available in your country and select “Buy Now.” A plan that directs you to “Contact Sales,” such as Webex Enterprise on the U.S. pricing page, does not follow the same self-service checkout.
- Review the cart. Adjust the plan and number of licenses as needed. Choose a monthly or annual renewal schedule if those options are offered to you. Look at the amount due now, taxes, renewal terms and any plan details before continuing; available schedules and prices depend on your checkout.
- Enter your account and billing details. Sign in or provide the account information requested by Webex. Enter your genuine name, billing address and other requested details. Confirm that the Webex tenant country is correct and that your card satisfies Cisco’s same-country issuance rule.
- Enter the Coinepay card details. Copy the card number, expiry date and CVV from your Coinepay dashboard or app into the card fields. Cisco lists eligible debit or credit cards on Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club; its list does not establish that any particular Coinepay card will be accepted. Other checkout methods, such as PayPal or Apple Pay, appear only where available. Webex does not let you split one purchase across payment methods.
- Confirm the order. Read and accept the applicable Cisco terms, then place the order. Complete any payment authentication requested during checkout. Wait for Webex to confirm the purchase rather than repeatedly submitting the order if the page is still processing. Keep the order confirmation for your records.
If “Buy Now” is absent or Webex routes you to sales, follow that route instead of assuming a direct card checkout is available. Cisco has separate country lists for free sign-up, upgrades from free to paid, and paid-service sales; inclusion in one list does not necessarily mean self-service checkout is offered. For example, Cisco directs customers in Indonesia and Macau to sales for free-to-paid upgrades.
If Webex declines the card
A failed payment does not, by itself, identify the cause. Check the message Webex displays, avoid guessing at replacement details, and work through these possibilities:
- Insufficient available funds. Compare the available amount in Coinepay with the full Webex cart total, including taxes and the selected billing period. Cisco lists insufficient funds or credit as a possible payment problem. If you need help understanding your available balance or funding options, check the Coinepay app or contact support.
- Incorrect card or billing details. Recheck the name, card number, expiry date, CVV and billing address for typing errors. Cisco identifies each of these as a possible cause of payment failure. Correct the information to match your real records; do not substitute a different country or an address that is not yours.
- Authentication did not finish. If checkout asks you to complete 3-D Secure or another cardholder-verification step, follow the on-screen instructions and return to Webex afterward. An interrupted or timed-out challenge can leave the purchase incomplete. If the challenge does not appear or repeatedly fails, contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt, without sending your full card number or CVV. Do not assume that every transaction will present the same authentication flow.
- Merchant country checks. Revisit Cisco’s requirement that a directly used card be issued in the Webex tenant’s country. Confirm the tenant country in your Webex purchase details and ask Coinepay support whether your card meets that requirement. A matching billing address alone does not change where a card was issued.
- Card or browser problems. Cisco also lists an inactive card and an outdated browser among possible causes. Check your card status in Coinepay and retry using an up-to-date browser after verifying that no order was placed.
For recurring card payments in India, Cisco says payments involving banks that do not comply with India’s e-mandate requirements are automatically declined; eligible payments may require bank enrollment and OTP authentication. If that applies to your transaction, follow the instructions presented by your bank or Webex. If you still cannot pay, give Webex support the checkout details and ask Coinepay support to review the card attempt. Neither support team should need your CVV in a message.
How to update your payment method or cancel
For subscriptions bought directly on webex.com, a billing administrator can manage payment details in Webex Account Management at user.webex.com. Go to Billing → Payment method → Edit to change the payment method. Have the replacement card details ready and check the billing information before saving. If your subscription was purchased through a partner or distributor, contact that seller about billing instead.
To stop a directly purchased subscription from renewing, an administrator can use Billing → Billing Information → Cancel Webex subscription. Cisco says paid access continues until the end of the billing period and then changes to Webex Free. Do not assume cancellation produces a prorated refund; check the terms for your purchase or ask Webex about your specific order. Cisco Commerce Express purchases have a separate process requiring a cancellation request at least 30 days before auto-renewal, while partner and distributor purchases must be cancelled through the seller.
Webex Account Management is not available to accounts billed in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia or Macau. If that affects your account, ask Webex or your seller how to update billing or cancel. Finally, invoice-payment instructions for checks, EFT, ACH and wires do not apply to accounts bought from webex.com; use the payment options offered in your actual checkout or billing flow.

FAQ
Can I sign up for Webex Free without a card?
Yes. Select “Start for free” on webex.com; Cisco says free sign-up does not require payment details.
Will a Coinepay virtual card work for my Webex tenant?
Webex requires a card used directly at checkout to be issued in the same country as the tenant. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets that requirement before buying; acceptance is not guaranteed.
Why was my card declined by Webex?
Check available funds, the card and billing details, any authentication request, card status and the same-country issuance rule. Cisco also identifies outdated browsers as a possible problem.
Where can I replace the card for a webex.com subscription?
A billing administrator can go to user.webex.com and select Billing → Payment method → Edit, where Account Management is available.
Does cancelling Webex refund the unused subscription period?
Do not assume so. Cisco says paid access continues through the billing-period end after a direct-purchase cancellation; ask Webex about the terms of your specific order.
