WPS Office is a cross-platform productivity suite covering documents, spreadsheets, presentations and PDFs. If you want to upgrade from the free tier to a paid plan, you can pay at checkout with a card. This guide explains what you need, how to subscribe, and how to work through a declined-card error using a Coinepay virtual card.
Before you start, remember that Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV, all managed from the Coinepay app and the 24/7 self-service dashboard. You will need to register and complete identity verification (KYC) first. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction.
What you need before you subscribe
- A verified Coinepay account with a virtual card created. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, or register here.
- Enough balance loaded on the card to cover the plan plus any local VAT that may be added at checkout.
- A WPS account. You can sign in with email or one of the third-party account options WPS supports.
- Your real billing details, matching the identity used for KYC. Use your genuine name, address and country — never a fabricated address or a way to bypass regional checks.
WPS lists several payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Google Play, Paytm, EBANX, Microsoft, WeChat and Alipay, but availability varies by client, device and country. On the WPS website and Windows, checkout is by card or PayPal; on Android it is Google Play, PayPal or credit card; on Mac it is Apple Pay, PayPal or credit card. Note that whether a specific merchant accepts any given card is something only the checkout can confirm — if you are unsure, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets a requirement before you buy.
Choosing a WPS plan
On the international consumer pricing page (wps.com/buy), WPS lists three tiers:
| Plan | Price (as listed, October 2026) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| WPS Standard | Free | No credit card required |
| WPS Pro+ | US$5.83/month, billed US$69.99 annually | The monthly figure is not a monthly-billing option |
| WPS Pro+ Sharing Plan | US$41.99/year per user | Three-day free trial, two-user minimum |
These prices apply to PC and Android and should not be treated as iPhone, iPad or Mac checkout prices, which are listed separately in Apple's store. Prices and offers vary by region, device and currency, so always confirm the current figure on the official WPS pricing page before paying. WPS also says trial eligibility for WPS Pro+ is limited to new subscribers and the trial length depends on the offer. Separately, there is a WPS 365 Education page and a mainland-China-only WPS 365 business page — those are not the international consumer tiers covered here.
If you already hold an active individual subscription, WPS's FAQ notes you cannot currently start or join a Pro+ Sharing Plan on that same account; you can wait for it to expire or use another eligible account.
Step-by-step: pay with your Coinepay card
- Open the Coinepay app and check your virtual card details and balance. Make sure the available balance covers the plan price plus any tax.
- Go to the WPS pricing page at wps.com/buy, or use the Upgrade Now entry point inside the WPS app. Select the plan you want.
- Sign in to your WPS account. Use the account you intend to use the subscription with, since you will activate benefits by signing in with the same WPS account after purchase.
- Choose the card payment option at checkout (card or PayPal on the website).
- Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV. Copy them from the app to avoid typos.
- Enter billing information exactly as it appears on your Coinepay account.
- Complete any 3-D Secure step if prompted, then confirm the purchase.
- Confirm the subscription is active. Sign in at wps.com/subscription — My Subscription shows expiry and auto-renewal, and My Orders shows purchase details and order numbers.
If you need a receipt, WPS lets you request an invoice through your account at wps.com/subscription or wps.com/invoice.
If your card is declined: common causes and fixes
WPS's payment help lists several reasons a card payment can fail. Work through them in order:
Insufficient funds or credit
The most common cause. Open the Coinepay app, confirm your balance covers the full charge including any VAT, and top up if needed. Remember the checkout currency may be converted to US dollars when a method does not support your local currency, which can change the amount.
Incorrect card number or CVC
WPS flags an incorrect card number or CVC as a failure reason. Re-enter the details carefully, copying directly from the Coinepay app rather than typing from memory.
Expired, lost or stolen card
If your virtual card has been replaced or frozen, the charge will fail. Check the card status in Coinepay and use a current, active card.
Billing address mismatch
Checkout may run an address verification check. Make sure the billing name, address and country match what is on file for your Coinepay account. Do not enter an address that is not genuinely yours.
3-D Secure / bank authorization
WPS lists bank online-payment limits or authorization requirements as a cause. Approve any 3-D Secure confirmation sent through the Coinepay app, and make sure online payments are enabled for the card.
Issuer risk block
WPS also lists an issuer risk block. If the payment is stopped for a risk check, review the transaction in Coinepay and reach out to Coinepay support if you need help confirming the card is ready to use.
Merchant region and method checks
WPS says method availability varies by country and client, and an exhaustive list of supported checkout countries, methods, currencies and card networks is not published. Acceptance of a specific card at WPS checkout can only be confirmed by trying it. Note that WPS does not support direct UPI payment and instead suggests adding UPI to Google Play and buying through Google Play.
If a payment keeps failing, WPS asks you to send support the error message, a screenshot, your WPS ID and any order number. For PayPal specifically, it also lists online card payments not being enabled at the bank, and browser JavaScript or pop-up blocking.
Managing renewal, cancellation and refunds
WPS does not support changing the renewal card, subscription period or subscription type in place — it says you should cancel auto-renewal and buy again after the current subscription expires. Its help page also states payment-card details are not stored on WPS's server. To stop WPS-managed auto-renewal, go to wps.com/subscription and use My Subscription → Auto-renewal → off → Confirm, before the trial or current billing period ends. If you bought through Google Play, cancel under Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions instead. Cancelling stops future renewal; your paid benefits remain through the current period.
On refunds, WPS's EULA and refund help say subscriptions are generally non-refundable whether used or unused, with service faults, duplicate purchases caused by error, and legal requirements named as possible grounds for review rather than an automatic refund. The pricing page advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee, but the exact eligibility and conditions are not clearly spelled out across those pages, so check the current terms before you rely on it. If WPS approves a refund, it returns to the original payment method in 5–30 business days — so keep your Coinepay card active to receive it.
A note on using a virtual card for multiple subscriptions
Coinepay lets you create virtual cards and, for businesses, issue a dedicated card per account with custom spending limits — useful for keeping productivity tools, AI subscriptions and advertising spend separate. Manage everything from the dashboard or app. If you run into a card question that only your issuer can answer, reach out through the support page or Telegram, or visit the Coinepay home page.

Why was my card declined on WPS?
WPS lists insufficient funds, an incorrect card number or CVC, an expired or blocked card, bank payment limits or authorization requirements, and issuer risk blocks.
