Riot Games does not offer one company-wide subscription to sign up for. Instead, you pay for purchases in individual games, such as Riot Points (RP) in League of Legends, VALORANT Points (VP) in VALORANT or KO Points (KP) in 2XKO. This guide explains how to prepare a Coinepay virtual card, find the relevant game checkout and handle common payment problems.

What you need before paying

  • A Riot Account and access to your game. Create a Riot Account if you do not have one, then sign in to the relevant game client. You can manage your account by signing in at account.riotgames.com.
  • A Coinepay account with identity verification complete. Register through Coinepay and complete the required verification before using card services. You can manage your card in the Coinepay mobile app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
  • Your virtual card details. Coinepay provides a card number, expiry date and CVV when it issues a virtual card. Have the details available when you reach checkout.
  • Enough available funds for the final charge. Check the total displayed at checkout rather than relying only on the amount shown beside a currency bundle. For US and Canadian players, applicable digital-sales tax may increase the total; Riot calculates it at checkout based on the payment method’s location.
  • Your real billing details. Enter the billing name and address accurately. Do not use a made-up address or change your account region to try to obtain a different payment option.

Payment methods vary by game, account region and platform. Riot may show cards, PayPal, prepaid cards or codes, and other locally available methods, but the options displayed in your own checkout are the ones to use. Check the game store for current bundle prices; prices vary by region.

How to pay in a Riot game

  1. Sign in to the right Riot Account. Open the game where you want to make the purchase and check that you are using the account that should receive it. Riot Account credentials are used to sign in to Riot game clients.
  2. Open that game’s store. In League of Legends, the documented path for buying currency is Store → Purchase RP. Other Riot games have their own in-game stores; look for the relevant currency or item there rather than a Riot-wide subscription page.
  3. Choose what to buy. For a League RP purchase, select the payment method and RP bundle offered in your store. In other games, choose the available VP, KP or game-specific item you intend to purchase. For example, 2XKO calls its Premium Battle Pass bundles Standard, Deluxe and Ultra; they are game-specific bundles, not monthly Riot Games plans.
  4. Select a card option if one appears. Follow the checkout prompts and enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date, CVV and requested billing details. Use your real information and review each field before continuing. A card option appearing at checkout does not guarantee that a particular card will be accepted.
  5. Review the final amount and confirm. In League, the documented flow ends with a review screen and Pay Now. Check the selected RP amount, payment details, tax if applicable and final charge before paying. Follow any payment-verification prompt that appears, then check the game store or purchase history for the result before trying again.

If you play on a console or mobile platform, checkout and refund handling may differ from a purchase made directly through a Riot game client. Use the options shown on your platform. For a charge made through Apple, Google, Samsung, PlayStation or Xbox, Riot directs cash-refund requests to that marketplace.

Why a Coinepay card payment might be declined

Start with the exact message shown at checkout. A decline can come from incorrect details, available funds, a security check or a region-specific payment restriction. Repeatedly submitting the same payment is unlikely to resolve the underlying issue.

Insufficient balance or a higher final total

Check your available funds in Coinepay and compare them with Riot’s final checkout amount. The displayed bundle amount may not be the full charge where tax applies. If a failed purchase appears as pending on your card, do not assume the item was delivered: check your game account first. Riot says a financial provider typically releases a pending authorization from a failed transaction in three to five business days. Contact Coinepay support if you need help understanding what your card activity shows.

Card details or billing address do not match

For “Your card information is invalid,” re-enter the card number, expiry date and CVV carefully. Check that the billing name and address are accurate and consistent with the details associated with your payment method. An incorrect security code or mismatched billing information can cause a decline. If you are unsure which real billing details to enter for your Coinepay card, ask Coinepay support rather than guessing.

Payment verification does not complete

If checkout presents a 3-D Secure or other card-verification step, complete the prompt as instructed and return to the game checkout to check the result. Do not assume a charge succeeded just because you started verification. If the prompt fails to load, expires or cannot be completed, stop and contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt and the message you saw. Riot also identifies card-provider security restrictions and processing problems as possible reasons for a decline; its message “Your payment attempt has been declined by your card provider” may require a card-side review.

Region, platform or merchant checks

Riot’s available payment methods depend on local rules, providers, account region and whether you are playing on PC, console or mobile. A method listed for one game or server may not appear in another checkout. For example, Riot’s published League card lists differ between the NA, EU, BR and JP servers. In Brazil, VALORANT lists Primeiropay credit cards, not Primeiropay debit cards. If your checkout specifies a card-type or regional requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy; do not assume that it does.

If Riot displays “You have exceeded the maximum number of attempts at this time,” stop retrying. Riot documents a 24-hour attempt or purchase limit. Review the likely cause and wait for the restriction to clear, or ask Riot Player Support for guidance. Do not change identities or regions to get around a payment check.

Saved cards, refunds and purchases you no longer want

These are individual game purchases, so there is no single Riot Games subscription cancellation step for the purchases described here. If you saved a card in League and want to remove it, go to Store → Purchase RP → Credit Card, select an RP amount, choose the saved card and select Delete. You do not need to complete an RP purchase to delete it. League also has an optional PayPal Billing Agreement; that saved-payment arrangement can be cancelled through Store → Purchase RP → PayPal → select a price → Cancel Billing Agreement. It is not a recurring Riot-wide subscription.

Check Riot’s Global Refund Policy before buying content you may want to return. As a general rule, listed unused content purchased within 14 days may qualify for a refund, subject to applicable law. Unused purchased game currency may qualify for a real-money refund if you request it from Riot Player Support within that period. Event passes, bundles and gifts are generally non-refundable; League and TFT on PC have additional, game-specific refund-token rules for eligible purchases within 90 days. Where a real-money refund is available and the payment method supports it, Riot sends it to the original payment method. Contact Riot Player Support about purchase eligibility and Coinepay support about a refund or authorization shown in your card activity.

FAQ

Is there a Riot Games subscription I can pay for with Coinepay?

This guide covers game-specific purchases, not a company-wide Riot subscription. Check the relevant game's store for available currency and items.

Where do I enter my virtual card for League of Legends RP?

In League, open Store → Purchase RP, choose an available card payment method and RP bundle, enter the requested card and real billing details, then review the total before selecting Pay Now.

What should I do if Riot says my card information is invalid?

Check the card number, expiry, CVV and real billing details. If you are unsure which billing details apply, contact Coinepay support before retrying.

Can I remove a saved card from League without buying RP?

Yes. Go to Store → Purchase RP → Credit Card, select an RP amount, choose the saved card and select Delete. You do not need to complete the purchase.
