FIFA Points are purchased through a supported FIFA game or its platform store; they are not a subscription. If you play a newer EA SPORTS FC title, the store may instead call its in-game currency FC Points. This guide explains how to prepare a Coinepay virtual card, choose the right purchase, and troubleshoot checkout without assuming that every game or store accepts the card.

Before you buy: check the game, account and store

Start by confirming the exact game you play. FIFA Points for an older FIFA title and FC Points for an EA SPORTS FC title should not be treated as interchangeable purchases. Product availability can also change as games age. Check the offer shown inside your game or on your console or PC platform’s store rather than relying on an older listing or a search result.

  • Game and edition: Read the product name and description to confirm that the points apply to your title. If the listing names a particular edition or release, make sure it matches your game.
  • Platform: Buy through the store associated with the platform and account on which you intend to use the points. Do not assume a purchase made for one platform can be used on another.
  • Account: Sign in to the correct gaming and platform accounts before checkout. Check the account name or email displayed by the store, especially if you share a device.
  • Region: Check the region of your game, store account and purchase offer. A store may restrict purchases based on account region, billing country or the payment method’s eligibility.

Prices and available point amounts vary by game, platform and region. Use the current offer in the game or its official platform store for the amount you will pay. If you are unsure whether a listing applies to your account, resolve that question with the game or platform’s support before buying.

Set up your Coinepay virtual card

  1. Register with Coinepay using your real identity, then complete the required identity verification (KYC). You must do this before using Coinepay card services.
  2. In the Coinepay mobile app or 24/7 self-service dashboard, follow the available steps to obtain a virtual card. Once issued, its card number, expiry date and CVV are available instantly.
  3. Check the card and funding information shown in your Coinepay account. Make sure sufficient funds are available for the full amount displayed at checkout. Consult the app or Coinepay support if you need to confirm a funding option or an applicable card setting.
  4. Have your real billing details ready. Use the billing information associated with your payment account where the store requests it; do not enter a made-up address or change your account region to get past a restriction.

Coinepay card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions. Some Coinepay services are not available in every jurisdiction. You can manage your account through the dashboard or download the app for iOS or Android.

How to buy FIFA Points or FC Points

Store labels and checkout screens vary by game and platform, so follow the prompts presented on your device. This process applies when the relevant game or platform store offers a direct card payment option for the points you want.

  1. Open the relevant store. Launch your game and look for its in-game points offer, or open the official store for the platform on which you play. Select a listing that explicitly matches your game and platform.
  2. Review the offer. Check the point amount, price, currency, account and any region or eligibility information before proceeding. FIFA Points and FC Points are in-game currency purchases, not recurring plans.
  3. Choose card payment if offered. At checkout, select the option to add or use a payment card. If you are paying through a console or PC platform account, its store may manage the payment details rather than the game itself.
  4. Enter your Coinepay card details. Copy the virtual card number, expiry date and CVV from your Coinepay account. Enter your real name and billing details as requested by the store, and check for typing errors before continuing.
  5. Complete any verification. If the checkout presents a bank or card authentication step, follow its on-screen instructions. Do not share your CVV or a one-time code with someone claiming they can complete checkout for you.
  6. Confirm and check the result. Review the final amount before authorizing payment. Keep the store’s receipt or order reference. Return to the game and check the points balance on the account used for the purchase.

If the store offers only a platform-specific payment route or does not present a card option, follow its published payment rules. Do not assume that entering card details elsewhere will credit the same game account.

If the card is declined or the points do not appear

Insufficient balance or an unexpected total

Compare the checkout total with the funds available in your Coinepay account. The final amount may differ from the price you first saw because of taxes or other charges displayed by the store. If you need to add funds, use the options available in your Coinepay account and retry only after checking the updated balance. Avoid repeatedly submitting the same payment without reviewing the store’s result.

Billing details do not match

Re-enter the card number, expiry date and CVV carefully. Check the billing name and address requested at checkout against your real payment details, including the postal code and country. A mismatch or an unsupported billing country can cause a decline. Do not use someone else’s address or invent details to make a transaction appear eligible.

Authentication or 3-D Secure cannot be completed

Some online card payments require an additional authentication step, often called 3-D Secure. If a prompt appears, complete it through the method provided at checkout. If the prompt times out, fails to load or produces an error, check that you have not already been charged before trying again. Save the exact error text, then contact the store and Coinepay support if you need help identifying which step failed. Do not assume every checkout will present the same verification flow.

The store rejects the card’s region or eligibility

A game or platform store may apply regional or payment-method checks. Review its rules for your actual account region and the purchase you selected. If it states that only certain card types or issuing countries are accepted, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets the stated requirement before you buy; do not assume it does. If the purchase is unavailable for your account or location, use an option the store officially supports rather than trying to bypass its controls.

Payment appears complete, but the points are missing

First check the store receipt and the points balance on the account that made the purchase. Confirm that the receipt names the correct game, platform and account. If the order is marked pending, follow the store’s guidance before purchasing again. If it is marked complete but the points still do not appear, contact the game or platform’s support with the order reference. For a card charge you do not recognize or a payment-status question on your Coinepay account, contact Coinepay support as well.

Make a final check before confirming

For a points purchase, the most useful checks are the ones you can make before payment: the exact FIFA or EA SPORTS FC title, the platform, the signed-in account, the point amount and the store’s final total. Coinepay provides the virtual card details, but the game or platform store decides whether a particular transaction is accepted and how points are delivered. Keep your receipt so you can identify the order if you need assistance later.

FAQ

Are FIFA Points a subscription?

No. They are an in-game currency purchase. Check the specific offer before paying; newer EA SPORTS FC games may label their currency FC Points.

Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to buy points on any platform?

Not necessarily. Payment options and card eligibility depend on the game and platform store. Check its checkout and rules before buying.

Why was my card declined when buying FIFA Points?

Check your available funds, card entries, real billing details, any authentication prompt, and the store’s region or card-eligibility rules.

What should I do if I paid but did not receive my points?

Check the receipt, order status and signed-in game account. If the order is complete and points are missing, contact the game or platform’s support with the order reference.
