Sendinblue is now called Brevo. If you want to pay for a Brevo marketing subscription with a Coinepay virtual card, start by checking Brevo’s card requirements, then choose a plan and enter your real billing details at checkout. This guide covers subscriptions—not Brevo Payments, the separate product businesses use to collect payments from customers.
What you need before subscribing
You need a Brevo account, access to its billing settings, and a Coinepay account that has completed identity verification. Coinepay issues virtual cards with a card number, expiry date and CVV, which you can view in its self-service dashboard or mobile app. If you have not registered, you can create a Coinepay account and complete the required verification before using card services.
Check Brevo’s card restriction before buying: Brevo accepts credit and debit cards for subscription payments but says it does not accept prepaid debit cards. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Brevo’s requirement before you buy. A merchant’s acceptance decision also depends on its own payment checks; having a card does not ensure that checkout will succeed.
Have your real name, billing address and any business billing information ready. Make sure the Coinepay card has enough available funds for the full amount Brevo displays, including applicable tax. Brevo’s published prices exclude tax, and the checkout shows the amount due before you pay. If someone else manages your Brevo workspace, ask the account owner or an appropriately authorised user to complete the billing steps.
Choose the right Brevo marketing plan
Brevo’s current marketing-plan lineup is Free, Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise. A Free account does not require a card and allows 300 email sends per day. Paid plans vary by monthly email volume and contact-storage allowance; for example, the first Starter and Standard tiers cover 5,000 emails per month and up to 500 stored contacts. Choose the sending volume and features you need rather than relying on a plan’s starting price alone.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Brevo listed US-dollar starting prices of $0 for Free, $9 per month for Starter, $18 per month for Standard and $499 per month for Professional. Enterprise requires a custom quote. These are starting figures, not guaranteed checkout totals: volume, billing period, region, add-ons and tax can affect the amount. Check Brevo’s official pricing page and the total shown at checkout before confirming.
Brevo offers monthly and yearly subscriptions that renew automatically. Yearly billing is paid upfront and Brevo states a 10% discount for it. Before choosing yearly billing, compare the upfront total with your budget and review Brevo’s cancellation and refund terms.
How to sign up and pay with your Coinepay virtual card
- Create or sign in to your Brevo account. Go to Brevo’s official site and use its sign-up flow to create an account with your real information. You can begin on Free without entering a card. If you already have an account, sign in instead.
- Prepare your Coinepay card. Sign in through the Coinepay dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app. After completing the required identity verification, view your virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Check the available funds against the expected Brevo charge, allowing for tax and any add-ons you intend to select.
- Open the upgrade flow. In Brevo, use the account dropdown, select My plan, then Upgrade plan. Choose Starter, Standard or Professional as appropriate, or follow Brevo’s quote process for Enterprise. Select your email-volume tier, billing period and any optional add-ons offered in your checkout.
- Review billing information. Enter your genuine billing name and address, plus any applicable business details. Brevo places editable billing details under account dropdown → My plan → Billing information. Use details that accurately identify the person or business paying; do not substitute an address from another country to try to pass a regional check.
- Enter the card and review the total. At checkout, choose a card payment if Brevo offers it for your account. Enter the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Check the plan, email volume, add-ons, billing period, applicable tax and final amount before submitting. Complete any authentication step that the checkout presents using the instructions shown to you.
- Confirm the result. Wait for Brevo to show whether the purchase succeeded. Check My plan to verify your subscription, and keep the receipt or billing record for your records. If the result is unclear, check the account status before trying again so you do not accidentally place another order.
Brevo lists subscription payment methods separately from Brevo Payments, its customer-payment collection product. Rules published for Brevo Payments—including its France-only availability and the cards its customers can use—should not be treated as a list of cards accepted for Brevo subscription checkout. For subscriptions, Brevo says card payments are processed by Adyen or Stripe. Other payment options may appear depending on account eligibility: PayPal is offered where available but is not available for new Admin accounts. Eligible SEPA and ACH direct debit cannot be used for a first payment.
How to update your card or manage the subscription
After signing in to Brevo, go to My plan → Payment methods to manage payment methods. To correct a name, address or other billing detail, open the account dropdown and go to My plan → Billing information. These controls are available to the account owner or users with appropriate permissions. Brevo distinguishes accounts created before October 1, 2025 from newer accounts in its access guidance, so follow the billing interface you actually see if your account is older.
To end a paid subscription, go to My plan → Cancel subscription. Brevo says cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, after which the account moves to Free. A yearly Professional subscription requires a support ticket to cancel. If you have a dedicated IP, cancelling the plan does not cancel that item separately. Review these details before assuming that removing a card or cancelling a plan stops every future charge.
Brevo generally does not refund used or unused credits. Its stated exceptions include a Brevo technical error or a user not being qualified to send from shared IPs; unused months are not automatically refundable because an account was suspended, compromised or not cancelled. Check the current policy before committing to an upfront yearly payment.
Troubleshoot a declined card or failed checkout
A failed payment screen does not always identify the cause. Brevo Community users have reported messages such as “There was a problem while processing your payment, please check the details and try again” and “An error occurred while adding your payment method”. Those reports do not establish why a particular card failed. Work through the checks below rather than treating either message as a diagnosis.
- Insufficient available funds: Compare your available card funds with Brevo’s final checkout total, not just the plan’s advertised starting price. Tax, a yearly upfront charge or selected add-ons may increase what is due. If you need help understanding the card-side result, contact Coinepay support.
- Billing details do not match: Re-enter the card number, expiry date and CVV carefully. Check that the billing name and address you supplied are your real details and correct any mistakes under My plan → Billing information. Do not use invented details to force a payment through.
- Authentication was not completed: If checkout asks you to complete a 3-D Secure or other verification step, follow the on-screen instructions and check whether that step timed out or failed. If no prompt appears or it repeatedly fails, ask Coinepay support what happened on the card side and tell Brevo support what checkout displayed. Do not assume every failed subscription payment is a 3-D Secure failure.
- Card eligibility or regional checks: Brevo does not accept prepaid debit cards. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets that requirement before another attempt, and ask Brevo support about any checkout restriction shown for your account or billing country. Brevo also says Visa and Mastercard payments in Argentine pesos require cards issued in Argentina while it progressively moves customers from ARS to USD; follow the payment options Brevo actually presents rather than changing your location details.
If the issue continues, give each support team the exact error message, the time of the attempt and the plan or billing period selected. Do not send your full card number or CVV in a support message. You can also use the Coinepay iOS app or Coinepay Android app to review your account before retrying.
