Fiverr handles two very different kinds of charges: one-off service orders and recurring memberships. Whether you are hiring a freelancer, upgrading a Fiverr Pro client plan, or subscribing to Seller Plus as a freelancer, each of these is paid with a designated payment method at checkout. This guide explains what you need, how the Fiverr checkout flow works, and how to pay with a Coinepay virtual card, plus what to check when a card is declined.

What you need before you start

Fiverr lists major credit and debit cards among its accepted payment methods, alongside PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay (in the Android app), Fiverr Balance, and some location-dependent local options such as Venmo in the US, iDEAL and Wero in the Netherlands, OXXO in Mexico, and Easypaisa in Pakistan. It does not accept cryptocurrency. Fiverr Pro has a narrower set: cards, PayPal, deposits, and wire transfers.

To pay with a Coinepay card you will need:

  • A registered Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) complete. You can create an account and manage everything from the dashboard or the iOS app and Android app.
  • A Coinepay virtual card with its card number, expiry date and CVV visible in the app.
  • Enough balance to cover the full charge, including Fiverr's fees and any applicable taxes shown at checkout.
  • Your real billing details, matching the address and ZIP/postcode registered with your card.

Fiverr notes that some countries cannot use its listed payment methods because of international regulations, and that issuers may restrict international payments or certain card types. If you are unsure whether your card meets Fiverr's requirements, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Understanding Fiverr's plans and charges

Knowing exactly what you are paying for helps avoid surprises at checkout.

  • Service orders — paying a freelancer for a gig. The standard service fee is 5.5%, plus US$3.50 for orders under US$200, shown before you pay.
  • Fiverr Pro client plans — Fiverr, Fiverr Pro Essential, Fiverr Pro Advanced, and Enterprise. Essential had no upfront plan charge for the first year at the time of writing (October 2026), with continued access requiring at least US$1,000 in annual service orders; Advanced was listed at US$129/month with automatic monthly billing; Enterprise needs a custom quote.
  • Seller Plus — the freelancer-side subscription, with Kickstart, Standard, and Premium tiers. At the time of writing (October 2026), Kickstart was US$15/month, Standard was US$25/month (or US$128 per six months, US$225/year), and Premium was US$49/month (or US$250 per six months, US$441/year).

Prices above are stated in USD. Fiverr says non-USD displayed prices can change daily with exchange rates and that taxes may be added, so always confirm the current figure on the official Fiverr or Fiverr Pro pricing page before you commit.

Step 1: Create or sign in to the right account

For a regular purchase, sign in to your Fiverr account or register with Google or email. New Fiverr Pro clients select Join Fiverr Pro, register, provide account details, and complete business onboarding; existing Fiverr users can join using their existing email. Note that only a Fiverr Pro account admin can upgrade to Advanced.

Step 2: Add your Coinepay card as a payment method

Open the Coinepay app and copy your virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. In Fiverr, saved cards live under your profile picture → Billing and payments → Payment methods. Pro admins use profile picture → Administration → Billing and payments → Payment method. Enter the card details and a billing address that matches your card registration exactly, then save.

Step 3: Check out

For a service order, open the gig, select Continue, choose any extras or quantity, and review the payment-page breakdown of price, taxes and fees. Select your Coinepay card, then Confirm & pay. Recurring purchases require you to agree to automatic renewal.

For a Fiverr Pro Advanced upgrade, the admin completes checkout with a designated payment method — Fiverr Balance, credits, and coupons cannot be used for this. For Seller Plus, membership and payment details are managed from Manage membership on the freelancer dashboard.

Step 4: Complete 3-D Secure if prompted

Fiverr may trigger 3-D Secure verification for card payments. If that happens, approve the prompt in the Coinepay app or follow the confirmation step so the transaction can complete. Leaving 3-D Secure incomplete is one of Fiverr's listed decline reasons.

Troubleshooting a declined card

Fiverr's payment troubleshooting lists the common causes of a failed or declined card payment. Work through them in order:

CauseWhat to do
Insufficient fundsTop up your Coinepay balance so it covers the full order total including the 5.5% fee, the US$3.50 small-order fee where it applies, and any taxes.
Expired or mistyped card detailsRe-check the card number, expiry and CVV against the Coinepay app and re-enter them carefully.
Incorrect billing ZIP / address mismatchMake sure the billing address and ZIP/postcode on Fiverr match the address registered with your Coinepay card.
Issuer restrictions on international payments or card typesFiverr notes issuers may block international or certain card transactions. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card can be used for this merchant and payment.
Incomplete 3-D Secure verificationRetry and finish the 3-D Secure confirmation step when prompted.
Suspicious-transaction flag or rapid repeat attemptsWait before retrying. Repeated fast attempts can trigger security blocks; a single clean attempt is more likely to go through.

If it still fails after these checks, reach out to Coinepay support to confirm the card is active and the authorization reached the issuer, and to Fiverr's customer support if the block is on their side.

Refunds, cancellations and renewals

Keep these Fiverr policies in mind so your card charges behave as expected:

  • Service orders: active orders can be submitted for cancellation through the Resolution Center; completed orders need Customer Support. A canceled order is credited to your Fiverr Balance by default, not automatically returned to your card. You can request a payment-provider refund on desktop or iOS, but not Android.
  • Fiverr Pro Advanced: can be canceled or changed at any time, with a prorated refund for unused time, and you keep access to Essential features.
  • Seller Plus: Kickstart is refund-eligible if canceled within 48 hours of the last monthly payment; Standard and Premium refunds require cancellation and contacting support within 48 hours of the last plan payment. Later cancellation leaves benefits active until the end of the paid cycle.

Because recurring plans bill automatically, keep enough balance on your Coinepay card ahead of each renewal date to avoid a failed charge and a lapse in access. You can view invoices under profile picture → Billing and payments → Billing history.

A note on availability

Payment-method availability depends on your residence, device and provider rules, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction. Coinepay services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China. Use your real identity and billing details for every payment.

FAQ

Can I pay for Fiverr with a Coinepay virtual card?

Fiverr lists major credit and debit cards among its accepted methods. Add your Coinepay card under Billing and payments → Payment methods and use it at checkout. If you are unsure whether your card meets Fiverr's requirements, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Does Fiverr accept cryptocurrency?

No. Fiverr does not accept cryptocurrency. You pay with a card or another supported method such as PayPal or a local option. A Coinepay virtual card is used like any other card at the Fiverr checkout.

Why was my card declined on Fiverr?

Fiverr lists insufficient funds, expired or mistyped card details, an incorrect billing ZIP, issuer restrictions on international payments or card types, suspicious-transaction flags, incomplete 3-D Secure, and rapid repeat attempts. Check each, ensure your balance covers all fees, and retry once.

Will a refund go back to my Coinepay card?

Not by default. A canceled service order is credited to your Fiverr Balance. You can request a payment-provider refund on desktop or iOS, but not Android. Fiverr Pro Advanced cancellations give a prorated refund for unused time.

How much should I keep on my card for Fiverr?

Enough to cover the full order including Fiverr's 5.5% service fee, the US$3.50 fee on orders under US$200, and any taxes shown at checkout. For recurring plans, keep a buffer before each renewal date so the automatic charge does not fail.
