Supporting a Twitch streamer with a paid channel subscription, or signing up for Twitch Turbo, means adding a payment method at checkout. A Coinepay virtual card gives you a card number, expiry date and CVV you can enter the same way you would any card. This guide walks through what you need, how to subscribe step by step, and what to check if a payment is declined.

What you need before you start

Get these ready so checkout goes smoothly:

  • A Twitch account, created with Sign Up on twitch.tv or in the Twitch app.
  • A Coinepay virtual card. Register at Coinepay, complete identity verification (KYC), and create a card so you have its number, expiry and CVV. You can manage everything from the iOS app, the Google Play app, or the web dashboard.
  • Enough balance on the card to cover the subscription plus any applicable tax, which Twitch shows at checkout.
  • Your real billing details — name, address and country of residence. Use your genuine information; Twitch prohibits misrepresenting your residence to obtain regional pricing.

Coinepay card and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction. Services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China.

Twitch plans and what they cost

Twitch's paid channel-subscription tiers are named Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3, and you can choose a recurring term of 1, 3 or 6 months. Twitch Turbo is a separate monthly subscription that removes most ads and adds other perks across channels.

Prices are set per region and shown in your local currency. At the time of writing (October 2026), Tier 1 web prices seen on Twitch's own country price list included:

RegionTier 1 (per month, web)
United StatesUSD 5.99
United KingdomGBP 4.99
France / GermanyEUR 4.99
CanadaCAD 7.99
AustraliaAUD 8.99
JapanJPY 700
BrazilBRL 9.90
MexicoMXN 60
IndiaINR 110

These are web prices, not app prices — Twitch notes that in-app prices can be higher. Tier 2 and Tier 3 prices vary by region and are not listed here; check the final amount at checkout and Twitch's official pricing pages for your country. If you have an eligible Amazon Prime or Prime Video membership, you can apply a Prime channel-subscription token each month at no extra Twitch charge; it does not auto-renew and is unavailable to Prime members in India.

Step by step: subscribe with your Coinepay card

  1. Sign in to twitch.tv in a web browser. Buying on the website usually gives you web pricing and the full range of payment methods.
  2. Go to the channel you want to support and click Subscribe.
  3. Select a tier (Tier 1, 2 or 3). Open More Methods to see the regional payment options and to pick a 1-, 3- or 6-month term.
  4. Choose credit/debit card as the payment method. Twitch's channel-subscription checkout also lists Twitch gift-card balance, PayPal and Amazon Pay, with region-dependent options such as Apple Pay, bank transfer, paysafecard or cryptocurrency via Xsolla.
  5. Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV, then your billing name and address exactly as held on your Coinepay profile.
  6. Review the final amount — including any applicable tax — on Complete Purchase, then confirm. If your card requires it, complete the 3-D Secure verification step.

After a successful paid subscription, Twitch saves the payment method for automatic renewals. On mobile, note that Twitch says Android in-app subscription purchasing is unavailable in some countries (it cites Canada as an example) and directs those users to mobile-web checkout instead. App purchases are billed through Apple or Google Play.

Where to manage your card and subscriptions

For web purchases, open Profile → Wallet in a browser. Wallet lists your saved payment methods and the subscriptions using them, while Payment History shows your transactions. Manage renewals at twitch.tv/subscriptions. If you bought through an app, manage the payment method through Apple or Google Play instead.

On the Coinepay side, you can review your card balance and activity anytime in the 24/7 self-service dashboard or the mobile app.

Troubleshooting a declined payment

Twitch documents a "My payment was declined" problem, but exact processor wording varies. If your payment fails, work through these common causes:

Insufficient balance

Make sure your Coinepay card holds enough to cover the full amount plus tax, and remember a saved card is charged again automatically at renewal. Top up in the Coinepay app before you retry.

Billing address mismatch

Re-enter your card details carefully and confirm the billing name, address and postal code match what Coinepay has on file. Twitch also advises checking that your payment method matches your country of residence.

3-D Secure / verification step

If a verification prompt appears, complete it. Have your Coinepay app handy to approve or confirm the transaction if your card uses app-based confirmation.

Issuer block or frequency limit

Twitch lists an issuer block and a provider's transaction-frequency limit among possible causes. If several attempts fail in a row, wait and try again later, or check your Coinepay dashboard for any security hold on the card.

Region checks

Twitch may use your payment-method location, IP address, residence and fraud signals for pricing, and it prohibits misrepresenting residence. Use your genuine details — do not use a VPN or false address to get around regional checks. If a specific card type or region restriction blocks the purchase, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy. Twitch's own checkout guidance refers to "credit/debit cards" without publishing a universal network or prepaid-card acceptance list, so the methods available to you are whatever your regional checkout shows.

Cancelling before the next charge

To stop a web subscription renewing, open the Subscriptions Management page, use the cog next to the subscription and confirm Don't Renew Subscription. Twitch Turbo appears under Other Subscriptions. Your benefits continue until the displayed end date. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Recurring and gift subscription purchases generally are not refunded, with limited exceptions for technical problems, fraudulent purchases or legal requirements; web and Android refund requests go to Twitch, while iOS purchase refunds are handled by Apple.

Get help

For questions about your Coinepay virtual card — balance, verification, or whether it fits a merchant's requirements — reach out through the support page or Telegram. You can also explore more guides from the Coinepay site. For anything specific to your subscription, prices or refunds, Twitch's own help pages are the authority.

FAQ

Can I pay for a Twitch subscription with a Coinepay virtual card?

Yes. Twitch's channel-subscription checkout accepts credit/debit cards, so you can enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV at the Subscribe step. Available methods depend on your region, so check what your checkout shows. If you are unsure whether your card meets a requirement, contact Coinepay support before you buy.

Should I subscribe on the Twitch website or in the app?

The website generally offers web pricing and the fullest range of payment methods for entering a card. Twitch notes that in-app prices can be higher, and Android in-app purchasing is unavailable in some countries (it cites Canada), where users are directed to mobile-web checkout instead.

How much does a Twitch subscription cost?

Prices are set per region. At the time of writing (October 2026), Tier 1 web prices included USD 5.99 in the US, GBP 4.99 in the UK and EUR 4.99 in France and Germany. Tier 2, Tier 3 and Turbo prices vary, so always confirm the final amount at checkout and on Twitch's official pricing pages.

Why was my Twitch payment declined?

Common causes Twitch documents include insufficient funds, an issuer block and a transaction-frequency limit. Check your Coinepay balance, confirm your billing details match your Coinepay profile, complete any 3-D Secure step, and make sure your details reflect your real country of residence.

How do I cancel so I'm not charged again?

On the Subscriptions Management page, use the cog next to the subscription and confirm Don't Renew Subscription (Turbo is under Other Subscriptions). Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal; benefits continue until the displayed end date, and recurring purchases generally are not refunded.
