You can try a Coinepay virtual card at Ubisoft’s direct subscription checkout if card payment is offered for your location and plan. This guide covers what to prepare, how to subscribe to Ubisoft+ Classics or Ubisoft+ Premium, and what to check if a payment fails. The payment options shown at checkout determine what you can use.
Before you subscribe
Ubisoft+ has two direct-purchase tiers: Ubisoft+ Classics and Ubisoft+ Premium. Each offers monthly and yearly billing; those are billing options, not separate tiers. Classics includes a changing selection of standard-edition PC games. Premium adds eligible premium editions, day-one new releases where offered, rewards, and Xbox access. Check the current game list and platform details before paying, because included games and editions can change.
You will need a Ubisoft account, an available subscription option for your location, and a payment method accepted by the checkout you use. Country, age, purchase platform, and game availability can affect access. A plan appearing on one platform does not mean it is available on another.
- Set up Coinepay: register and complete identity verification before using its card services. You can manage your card through the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Have your card details ready: Coinepay issues a virtual card with a card number, expiry date, and CVV. Check its available balance in the app before checkout.
- Use accurate details: enter your real identity and billing address. Make sure the address you give Ubisoft matches the address associated with your payment details.
- Check the total: confirm the plan, billing period, currency, and any tax displayed before authorizing payment. Consult the Coinepay app or Coinepay support if you need information about your card’s applicable charges or limits.
For a price reference, at the time of writing (October 2026), Ubisoft’s US plan page showed Classics at US$7.99 per month or US$79.99 per year, and Premium at US$17.99 per month or US$179.99 per year. Prices vary by region and can change. Check Ubisoft’s official plan page for the price and terms that apply to your checkout.
How to subscribe through Ubisoft’s checkout
- Open Ubisoft’s official subscription selection page. Sign in to your Ubisoft account, or create one using your real information if you do not already have one. Ubisoft also lists Ubisoft Connect PC as a sign-up channel; available channels depend on your location.
- Choose your tier. Select Ubisoft+ Classics or Ubisoft+ Premium after checking the games and platforms you want to use. Then choose monthly or yearly billing.
- Continue to payment. Ubisoft’s direct flow moves from plan selection to payment. Review the plan and billing period again on the payment screen.
- Check the payment options actually displayed. If card payment is available, enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV. Enter your real billing name and address accurately. Do not assume a payment method available for an ordinary Ubisoft Store purchase is also available for a recurring Ubisoft+ subscription.
- Review and authorize. Check the final amount, tax treatment, renewal terms, and any verification request presented during payment. Complete a legitimate verification step if one appears, then submit the payment once and wait for the result.
- Confirm the subscription. Check Ubisoft’s confirmation and your subscription status before trying again if the page is slow to respond. Keep the order confirmation for your records.
For a direct Ubisoft subscription, the first payment is taken when you subscribe, and later payments fall on the billing-period date. Ubisoft says direct subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price; tax may be added or included according to your billing address and applicable rules. Review these terms before confirming a monthly or yearly commitment.
If your Ubisoft+ card payment is declined
A failed checkout does not identify its cause by itself. Check any explanation shown by Ubisoft, then work through the relevant items below. Avoid repeatedly submitting payment while a previous attempt or verification is still pending.
Insufficient balance or an unsettled payment
Compare your available Coinepay balance with the full amount shown at checkout, including any applicable tax. A subscription renewal may also fail if the available balance is too low when Ubisoft attempts the next payment. Check your Coinepay activity and Ubisoft subscription status before adding funds or retrying. Ubisoft says it may retry an unpaid subscription fee over approximately a week and may suspend access after an unsettled payment.
If you see what looks like an extra charge, check whether one entry is a temporary authorization hold rather than a second subscription payment. Ubisoft says it cancels its holds daily, though the payment provider may release the amount later. If the entries remain unclear, contact Ubisoft about the subscription and Coinepay about the card activity.
Incorrect card details or billing address
Re-enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV carefully; an expired card or invalid details can cause a failure. Check that your real billing address is accurate and matches the information associated with your payment details. For a Ubisoft-billed subscription, you can sign in to the Ubisoft Store and go to avatar → My Subscription to edit the billing address or change the payment method. If you cannot tell which detail is mismatched, ask the relevant support team rather than trying a different identity or address.
Verification or 3-D Secure does not complete
If checkout asks you to complete a card-security or 3-D Secure verification, follow the prompt presented for that transaction. Do not share a one-time code with anyone outside the legitimate verification flow. If the prompt never arrives, closes, or reports a failure, check the transaction in your Coinepay app and contact Coinepay support for card-side guidance. If Ubisoft shows a specific checkout error, keep its exact wording for Ubisoft support. Whether a particular verification flow is available depends on the transaction and payment setup.
Store region or account restrictions
Ubisoft’s Store troubleshooting guidance says the card and Store regions should match. Check that you are using the correct Ubisoft Store location and your genuine account and billing details. A mismatch, an issuer decline, or an account restriction can prevent payment. Do not change your address or location to bypass a regional check. If your details are correct, contact Ubisoft about account or Store eligibility and Coinepay support about a possible card-side decline. Neither service can promise that a particular transaction will be approved.
How to manage or stop future payments
For a subscription billed directly by Ubisoft, sign in to the Ubisoft Store and open avatar → My Subscription. From there, Ubisoft provides options to change your payment method or tier, edit your billing address, view invoices under View billing details, and cancel. If you purchased through a platform store instead, manage its billing and cancellation with that platform; changing a card in Ubisoft’s direct-subscription settings will not necessarily change a platform-store purchase.
You can request a standard cancellation at any time. It prevents the next subscription charge and normally leaves access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancellation and a refund are different requests. For Ubisoft-billed subscriptions, Ubisoft lists a 14-day withdrawal period in the UK and specified European countries, and seven days in Brazil and Taiwan. An eligible refund is partial based on days used and ends access immediately; submit a request using Ubisoft’s withdrawal form within the applicable period measured from order confirmation. Ubisoft says an automatic renewal does not start a new withdrawal period. In countries not on its eligibility list, including the US, Canada, and Australia, Ubisoft describes subscriptions as non-refundable, subject to applicable law. A purchase through another store follows that seller’s rules.
If you are deciding whether to subscribe, check availability and the current terms on Ubisoft’s official pages first. For questions about your virtual card or its transactions, use the Coinepay support page.

FAQ
Can I pay for Ubisoft+ Premium yearly with a Coinepay virtual card?
Premium has a yearly billing option. If Ubisoft’s checkout offers card payment for your location, you can enter your Coinepay card details, but approval depends on the transaction and merchant checks.
Where can I update the card for a Ubisoft-billed subscription?
Sign in to the Ubisoft Store and select avatar → My Subscription to change your payment method. Manage a platform-store subscription through that platform instead.
Why was my Ubisoft+ payment declined despite having a balance?
Check the full checkout amount, card details, billing address, verification prompts, and Store region. If those look correct, ask Ubisoft about account or checkout restrictions and Coinepay about the card transaction.
Will cancelling Ubisoft+ refund my current billing period?
Standard cancellation normally prevents the next charge while access continues through the paid period. Refund eligibility is separate and depends on your location, purchase channel, and Ubisoft’s applicable withdrawal rules.
