LiveChat is business software for customer messaging, and you pay for it with a monthly or annual subscription. If you would rather keep your main account separate from recurring software bills, you can use a Coinepay virtual card—which comes with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV—to pay for it. This guide walks through what you need, how the sign-up and checkout flow works, and what to do if your card is declined.

What you need before you start

  • A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. You must register and finish KYC before you can use card services. If you have not done this yet, create your Coinepay account and follow the prompts in the iOS or Android app.
  • A Coinepay virtual card with enough balance to cover the plan you choose, plus any tax or bank currency conversion that may apply.
  • Your real billing details—the name, address and postal/ZIP code associated with your Coinepay card. LiveChat checks the ZIP code against the one on file for the card.
  • A LiveChat account. New sign-ups are directed to LiveChat's Text plans; existing customers keep their current LiveChat subscription.

Use your own real identity and billing information. Do not use generated details or try to work around regional checks—LiveChat's terms prohibit use by anyone located in or acting for a US-sanctioned country or region (it names Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia and Belarus as examples).

LiveChat plans and prices

What you see depends on whether you are new or existing. Prices below were published on LiveChat's official pricing page at the time of writing (October 2026) in USD; taxes and your bank's currency conversion can change the final amount, so always confirm the current figure on livechat.com before you subscribe.

New sign-ups (Text plans)

PlanMonthlyAnnual
Text EssentialUSD $25/user/monthUSD $19/user/month ($228/user/year)
Text GrowthUSD $99/user/monthUSD $79/user/month ($948/user/year)
Text EnterpriseCustom quote, annual agreement

Essential and Growth include a 14-day trial that does not require a card. If you add no card, there is no automatic charge when the trial ends—you choose a plan and billing period and add a payment method yourself.

Existing LiveChat customers

The original tiers—Starter, Team, Business, Enterprise—remain for existing accounts, and LiveChat says existing customers keep their account, plan and price. Published tier prices were Starter $25 (or $19/month annual), Team $59 (or $49), and Business $89 (or $79) per person/month, with Enterprise by quote; your actual rate is whatever your account already carries.

Create your Coinepay virtual card

  1. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and sign in.
  2. Make sure your KYC is approved. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction.
  3. Create a virtual card and note the card number, expiry date and CVV.
  4. Top up the card so the balance covers your chosen LiveChat plan plus a margin for tax and conversion.
  5. Check the billing address and postal/ZIP code shown in Coinepay for the card—you will enter these at LiveChat checkout.
Businesses running several tools can issue a separate virtual card per service and set custom spending limits, which makes it easy to keep LiveChat's recurring bill isolated from other subscriptions.

Subscribe to LiveChat and pay at checkout

If you are a new customer (Text)

  1. Sign up on livechat.com and start the Essential or Growth trial.
  2. When you are ready to subscribe, open the in-app subscription settings to choose your plan and user count, and the billing settings for any extra AI-resolution packages.
  3. Select the billing period (monthly or annual) and proceed to add a payment method.
  4. Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV, then the billing name, address and ZIP exactly as they appear in Coinepay.
  5. Confirm the subscription. If a 3-D Secure step appears, approve it in your Coinepay app.

If you are an existing LiveChat customer

  1. Sign in as the owner or an admin with subscription access.
  2. Go to Billing → Your subscription.
  3. Select your plan, cycle and agent count, then choose Go to checkout → Subscribe now.
  4. Enter your Coinepay card and billing details and submit.

To change the card later, go to Billing → Account details → Edit card; to change plan or cycle, use Billing → Manage. Note that LiveChat charges for active agent accounts (including owners and admins), and that removing or suspending an agent alone does not automatically reduce the billed count.

LiveChat lists Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB among accepted networks. Whether any specific debit or prepaid card on those networks completes a given purchase is not something either company guarantees. If you are unsure your card meets a requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Troubleshooting a declined card

Invalid ZIP / postal code

This is the one error LiveChat documents directly: an "invalid" ZIP/postal-code notice can appear when the code you typed differs from the one associated with the card. Re-enter the exact postal code tied to your Coinepay card. LiveChat advises checking with the issuing bank if it keeps failing—for a Coinepay card, confirm the billing address and ZIP shown in your Coinepay app and re-enter them precisely.

Insufficient balance

A virtual card needs enough to cover the full charge plus tax and any currency conversion. Because LiveChat prices are quoted in USD, your bank's conversion can push the amount slightly higher than the sticker price. Top up the card in Coinepay and try again.

Billing address mismatch

Beyond the ZIP, the billing name and address should match what Coinepay holds for the card. Mismatched details are a common reason a payment is refused. Copy them directly from your Coinepay card details.

3-D Secure

Some payments trigger an extra verification step. Keep your Coinepay app open so you can approve the prompt promptly; if you miss it, the charge may be rejected and you will need to retry.

Region or card-type checks

LiveChat blocks sign-ups from sanctioned regions, and card issuers run their own screening. If a payment is declined without an obvious cause, check the transaction status and any message in your Coinepay dashboard, then reach out to Coinepay support or ask on Telegram. For plan or billing questions specific to LiveChat, contact LiveChat support through the Billing section.

Managing and cancelling later

For Text monthly plans you can cancel at any time; annual plans run through the prepaid 12 months and can be cancelled or adjusted at renewal. Existing LiveChat customers request cancellation through Billing, which opens a support chat; service continues to the end of the paid period and billing stops afterward. LiveChat's terms exclude refunds or credits for unused time, so time any change to your billing date. Subscriptions renew automatically, so keep enough balance on your Coinepay card—or update the card via the billing settings—before each renewal.

Ready to start? Set up your Coinepay account, create a virtual card, and visit the Coinepay app to manage it 24/7.

FAQ

Does LiveChat accept virtual cards?

LiveChat lists Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB as accepted networks, and the terms allow credit or debit cards supported by its processor. Whether a specific virtual card completes a purchase is not guaranteed by either company, so contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement before you buy.

How much does LiveChat cost?

At the time of writing (October 2026), new Text plans were USD $25/user/month (Essential) and $99/user/month (Growth), with lower annual rates and a custom-quote Enterprise tier. Existing LiveChat customers keep their current plan and price. Always check the official livechat.com pricing page, since taxes and currency conversion can change the final amount.

Why was my Coinepay card declined at LiveChat checkout?

The most common documented issue is an invalid ZIP/postal code that does not match the one on your card. Other causes include insufficient balance, a billing-address mismatch, or a missed 3-D Secure prompt. Re-enter the exact details from your Coinepay app, ensure enough balance, and approve any verification step in the app.

Do I need a card to start a LiveChat trial?

No. The Text Essential and Growth plans include a 14-day trial that does not require a card, and there is no automatic charge when it ends if you added no card. You add a payment method only when you choose to subscribe.

Can I use one Coinepay card for several business subscriptions?

Yes. Coinepay lets businesses issue a dedicated virtual card for each service and set custom spending limits per card, so you can keep your LiveChat bill separate from other tools and track it cleanly.
