Alight Motion is a mobile motion-design and video-editing app. The Free Plan gives you basic features with a watermark on exports, while a paid membership removes the watermark and unlocks Pro effects and features. This guide shows how to set up and pay for an Alight Motion subscription using a Coinepay virtual card, where the card actually gets charged, and how to work through a declined payment.
Before you start: what you need
A Coinepay virtual card comes with its own card number, expiry date and CVV as soon as it is issued, so you can enter it at checkout right away. To get set up:
- Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC). Card services are only available after KYC is approved.
- Create your virtual card in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app and keep the card number, expiry and CVV handy.
- Make sure the card has enough balance to cover the plan price plus any currency conversion.
- Note the billing address you registered with Coinepay. You will need it to match whatever you enter at checkout.
Coinepay is available on iOS and Google Play, and the dashboard is self-service 24/7. Note that services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction.
Understand how Alight Motion bills you
How you pay depends on where you subscribe. Alight Motion's own help guidance is that you open the app, then go to the profile icon → My Account → Membership Options to see the offers available to your account, and complete the purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. When you buy this way, the app store—not Alight Motion—handles that purchase's payment and its renewals.
That matters for a virtual card: for an in-app subscription, your Coinepay card is added to your Apple Account or Google account, not typed into an Alight Motion checkout page. Alight Motion's terms also contemplate site-purchased subscriptions, but the live web sign-up flow and the payment methods it accepts are not something we can confirm here, so follow whatever the official checkout shows and direct any management questions to your purchase or renewal email.
Plan names and prices
Store product names seen on Apple's listing include Weekly Subscription, Monthly Subscription, Weekly Cloud Subscription, and trial-labelled products such as Weekly Subscription with Free Trial. These are store product names rather than a guaranteed list of what your account will be offered. At the time of writing (October 2026), US iOS listings showed a Weekly Subscription at $4.99 (with a $0.99 listing too), Monthly Subscription at $6.99 and Weekly Cloud Subscription at $7.99; India showed weekly ₹499, monthly ₹699, weekly cloud ₹799. Prices and eligibility vary by region and by the exact product shown to your account, so always confirm the price on the checkout screen before you commit and check Alight Motion's official pages for the current offer.
Step-by-step: pay through Google Play (Android)
- Add your Coinepay virtual card to Google Play first: open Google Play → account icon → Payments and subscriptions → Payment methods → Add card, and enter the card number, expiry, CVV and your Coinepay billing address.
- Open Alight Motion and go to profile icon → My Account → Membership Options.
- Choose the plan you want and tap through to the Google Play purchase sheet.
- Select your Coinepay card as the payment method, review the price, and confirm.
- US Google Play lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and JCB cards among accepted methods—but that is a store-wide list, not a guarantee that a specific card will clear for this subscription. If you are unsure your Coinepay card meets a requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.
Step-by-step: pay through the Apple App Store (iOS)
- Add your card to Apple first: open Settings → Apple ID → Payment & Shipping and add the Coinepay card with its billing address.
- In Alight Motion, go to profile icon → My Account → Membership Options and pick a plan.
- Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple Account password on the purchase sheet, after checking the listed price.
To change the card used for an existing in-app subscription, update it in your Apple Account or Google Play payment settings rather than inside Alight Motion.
Check that your subscription is active
After purchase, check status in Alight Motion under My Account while signed into the account you bought with. Store-billed subscriptions also appear under iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → account icon → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. If the watermark is gone from new exports and the plan shows there, you are set.
Troubleshooting a declined card
Google's general payment-error messages include "Unable to process payment: low card balance," "Unable to complete transaction: expired card," and "Correct this card info or try another card." One Alight Motion buyer also reported the Google Play error "OR-HDT-16"; its cause in that case was not confirmed. Work through these common causes:
- Insufficient balance: Top up your Coinepay card so it covers the plan price plus any conversion. Store checkouts usually need the full amount available at the moment of purchase, and again at each renewal.
- Billing address mismatch: The address saved in your Apple Account or Google payment profile should match the billing address on your Coinepay card. Outdated billing details are a frequent decline reason.
- 3-D Secure / verification: If a confirmation step appears, approve it in the Coinepay app. Make sure notifications are enabled so you do not miss the prompt.
- Expired or mistyped card: Re-check the number, expiry and CVV in the Coinepay dashboard and re-enter them in the store's payment settings.
- Region checks: Alight Motion availability and features depend on country and device, and store methods change—for example, Netbanking stopped being an accepted Google Play method in India from October 2025, and US Cellular stopped being accepted for Google Play from January 29, 2026. Use your real account country and real billing details; do not try to work around regional checks.
- Issuer restriction: If the charge still fails, contact Coinepay support to confirm the card is enabled for this type of purchase, then retry.
Always use your real identity and real billing details. Do not use generated identities, fake addresses or tools to bypass a store's regional or payment checks.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel a store purchase in its Google Play or Apple Subscriptions settings, ideally at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling stops future renewals; your access continues through the paid period. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Alight Motion's refund policy (updated April 29, 2026) says valid charges are generally nonrefundable except under that policy and local rules: you can request a refund within 20 days of a weekly or monthly charge, or 60 days of a yearly charge, and ordinarily only the most recent charge qualifies. Request Apple purchase refunds from Apple, Google Play refunds from Google, and web purchase refunds through Alight Motion's contact form. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, typically take 5–10 business days, and revert your account to the Free Plan.

FAQ
Can I enter my Coinepay card directly in Alight Motion?
For an in-app subscription, no. You buy through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so you add your Coinepay virtual card to your Apple Account or Google payment settings, and the store charges it. Alight Motion itself does not take the card number for store purchases.
Where do I find the plans in Alight Motion?
Open the app and go to the profile icon, then My Account, then Membership Options. The offers and prices shown depend on your account, region and device, so confirm the price on the checkout screen before you buy.
Why was my card declined at checkout?
Common causes are insufficient balance, a billing address that does not match your card, a missed 3-D Secure confirmation, or an expired or mistyped card. Top up, correct the details, approve any prompt in the Coinepay app, and if it still fails contact Coinepay support.
How do I cancel and will I get a refund?
Cancel in Google Play or Apple Subscriptions, ideally at least 24 hours before renewal; access continues until the period ends. Refund requests follow Alight Motion's policy—within 20 days for weekly or monthly charges, 60 days for yearly—and approved refunds return to your original payment method in about 5–10 business days.
Does my Coinepay card work for Alight Motion?
Store checkouts list accepted card brands, but that does not guarantee a specific card will clear for this subscription, and merchant acceptance can vary. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is enabled for this purchase before you buy.
