Temu is a marketplace for buying products, rather than a subscription you need to activate. If you want to use a Coinepay virtual card for an order, prepare your card and real billing details, review the total at checkout, and confirm that Temu offers a suitable card-payment option in your market.

What you need before placing an order

  • A Coinepay account and virtual card. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Your card number, expiry date and CVV are available after issuance through Coinepay. You can manage your account in the 24/7 dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app.
  • Enough available funds. Check your available balance in Coinepay before ordering. Allow for the full amount shown at Temu checkout, which may include applicable taxes, shipping, duties or other charges in addition to the listed product price.
  • Your own delivery and billing information. Use your real name and a delivery address where you can receive the order. Enter the billing details associated with your card accurately; do not substitute an invented address to try to pass a payment check.
  • An eligible Temu checkout. Temu lists several credit and debit card networks among its payment methods, but the options offered vary by market. Check the payment choices displayed for your order rather than assuming that a particular card will be accepted.

Product prices depend on the listing and your market. Check the product page and final checkout total before you pay; this guide does not describe a current Temu paid membership or subscription plan.

Step 1: Create a Temu account or continue as a guest

In the Temu app or on Temu.com, select Sign in/Register if you want an account. Temu offers sign-up using an email address, phone number, Google, Facebook, X or Apple. Follow the prompts for the method you choose and use information that belongs to you.

An account is not required for every Temu purchase. If guest checkout is offered for your order, keep access to the email address you provide: Temu sends an order-confirmation email, and its Save your Order option in that email can connect a guest purchase to an account later. Signing in before you buy can make it simpler to find the purchase under Your orders.

Step 2: Review your basket and start checkout

  1. Choose the products you want on Temu, check each listing’s options and quantities, and add the items to your basket.
  2. Go to your basket and select checkout. Enter your real delivery details and review any available delivery choices.
  3. Read the order summary carefully. Confirm the items, shipping destination and full amount, including any taxes, shipping, duties or other charges shown before payment.
  4. At the payment stage, check whether Temu displays a card option you can use. Payment choices can differ by region and order; do not assume that an option shown in another market will appear in yours.

Temu also lists methods such as Temu Credit, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal in its payment information, with further regional variations. Those are alternatives, not steps required to pay directly with your Coinepay card.

Step 3: Enter your Coinepay card and confirm payment

  1. Open your Coinepay dashboard or mobile app and retrieve your virtual card number, expiry date and CVV. Keep those details private.
  2. On Temu’s card-payment form, enter the details exactly as shown in Coinepay. If Temu requests a cardholder name or billing address, enter your real, corresponding details. Check for typing mistakes before continuing.
  3. Follow any authentication instructions presented during checkout. Only approve a payment you recognize, for the amount you reviewed.
  4. Submit the order once. Wait for Temu’s result rather than repeatedly pressing the payment button. Look for an order-confirmation email; if you signed in, you can also check Your orders.

Entering card details does not guarantee approval. Temu’s available payment methods and checks, as well as the card issuer’s authorization decision, affect whether an order goes through. If Temu states that a card must meet a particular card-type or issuing-country requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy.

Manage a saved card and find an order

Temu’s account payment methods page is where you manage saved cards. Temu identifies +Add a credit or debit card for adding one and Edit beside a saved card for changing or removing it. The exact screen layout may vary between the app and website. If you prefer not to keep a card saved, review the options there after checkout. Removing a saved card does not, by itself, cancel an order you have already placed.

To check a signed-in purchase, open Your orders. Keep the confirmation email if you checked out as a guest. If you need to cancel, Temu directs customers to Your orders → Cancel items, where they select the items, reason and refund method. Temu-shipped items can generally be canceled before they are marked Packed; seller-shipped items can generally be canceled before Shipped, though seller approval may be needed after 30 minutes. Once an order has shipped, check whether it qualifies for a return or refund instead.

Why was my Temu card payment declined?

A decline does not identify its cause on its own. Work through these checks without changing your identity or location details to get around a restriction:

  • Insufficient balance or a changed total: Compare your Coinepay available balance with Temu’s final checkout amount, not just the item’s listed price. Check for added shipping, tax, duties or other displayed charges. If you need help understanding the available balance or a card transaction, contact Coinepay support.
  • Incorrect card or billing information: Recheck the card number, expiry date, CVV and billing address. Temu specifically identifies incorrect card details or billing information as possible decline causes. If a card is saved, inspect it on the payment methods page rather than assuming its details are current.
  • Authentication did not complete: If checkout asks you to verify the payment, follow the instructions on the screen and wait for the result. If the verification step fails, do not repeatedly approve unfamiliar requests. Ask Coinepay support about the card-side status and Temu support about the checkout-side error. Do not assume that every checkout uses 3-D Secure or that a particular authentication method is available for your card.
  • Merchant or regional checks: A payment option can vary by market, and Temu may apply eligibility or security checks to an order. Use your actual location and billing details. If Temu says the card is ineligible or restricts card type or issuing country, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets that requirement; ask Temu about any order-specific restriction.
  • Issuer refusal or checkout problem: Temu notes that the issuing institution may refuse a transaction. If your details are correct, Temu suggests trying another browser or payment method. Record the exact message and check whether an order was created before attempting another payment.

If you see a pending amount after a failed or canceled Temu order, it may be an authorization hold rather than a completed charge. Temu says such holds usually release in 3–6 business days. Check both your Temu order status and the transaction status in Coinepay; contact support if the statuses remain unclear.

Returns and refunds after paying by card

Return rules depend on the item and market, so read the policy shown for your order before sending anything back. For example, Temu’s US policy gives most eligible items a 90-day window from purchase, while many electronics have a seller-dependent 45-, 60- or 90-day window. It also requires the return to be dispatched within 14 days after the request. These rules should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.

Where Temu offers a refund choice, check whether you are selecting the original payment method or Temu Credit. Temu says original-method refunds in the US can take 5–14 business days, and sometimes up to 30, depending on the financial institution. Temu Credit generally cannot be cashed out. Keep your Coinepay card account accessible while a refund is pending, and contact Temu about the refund decision or Coinepay support about a card transaction you cannot identify.

FAQ

Do I need a Temu subscription to pay with a Coinepay virtual card?

No. This guide covers paying for products at Temu checkout; it does not rely on a paid membership.

Can I order from Temu without creating an account?

Some purchases allow guest checkout. Keep the confirmation email; its Save your Order option can connect the purchase to an account later.

Where can I change a card saved on Temu?

Open your Temu account’s payment methods page and use Edit beside the saved card. That page also offers +Add a credit or debit card.

What should I do if Temu declines my Coinepay card?

Check your available balance, the final order total, card details and real billing information. Complete any checkout verification, then contact Temu about order restrictions or Coinepay support about the card-side status.

Why is an amount pending when my Temu order failed?

It may be an authorization hold rather than a completed charge. Temu says these usually release in 3–6 business days; check your order and transaction statuses if you are unsure.
