Norton AntiVirus Plus is Symantec's entry-level security subscription, covering a device (or several) against malware with online threat protection and a smart firewall. If you prefer to keep your main bank card separate from online subscriptions, a Coinepay virtual card gives you an instant card number, expiry date and CVV you can use at checkout. This guide walks through what you need, how to subscribe, and what to do if the payment is declined.

Before you start

To pay for Norton AntiVirus Plus with a Coinepay virtual card, make sure you have the following ready:

 • A verified Coinepay account. You must register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you can use card services. If you haven't done this yet, create your Coinepay account and finish verification first.
 • A Coinepay virtual card with enough balance. Open the Coinepay app (iOS or Google Play) or the dashboard, create or select a card, and note its number, expiry date and CVV. Make sure the balance covers the first-year charge plus any sales tax or VAT added at checkout.
 • Your real billing details. Use the name and billing address that match your Coinepay account and identity. Norton's terms let it suspend or cancel an order placed with an unverifiable or unacceptable payment method, so accurate details matter.
 • A valid email address. Norton asks new customers to create a Norton account during checkout and sends an order confirmation to this email.

Norton accepts cards on its website depending on your location. Its published payment lists mention Visa, Mastercard, American Express and others, with the exact options varying by country. Because card acceptance depends on the merchant and your specific card, contact Coinepay support if you want to confirm your card is suitable before you buy.

Choosing your plan

Norton AntiVirus Plus is sold on regional Norton product pages. Rather than named "Plus tiers," you typically choose how many devices to cover. For example, the U.S. page offers a one-device and a five-device option. Neighbouring products such as Norton 360 Standard, Norton 360 Deluxe and Norton 360 with LifeLock Select Plus are separate subscriptions, not AntiVirus Plus levels.

Introductory first-year prices and device counts differ by country. At the time of writing (October 2026), examples included:

RegionFirst-year offerListed renewal
U.S. (1 device)US$29.99US$59.99/yr
U.S. (5 devices)US$39.99US$84.99/yr
UK (1 device)£24.99£39.99/yr
Australia (1 PC/Mac)A$59.99A$75.99/yr
Germany€19.99€39.99/yr
India (3 PCs/Macs)₹799₹799/yr

These are annual offers, not monthly charges, and they change often. Canadian pricing showed different figures on the overview page and the dedicated product page, so always confirm the price shown at your own checkout on Norton's official site before you pay. Taxes may be added on top.

Step-by-step: subscribe and pay

 1. Open your regional Norton product page. Go to the Norton website for your country and find Norton AntiVirus Plus. Select the device coverage you want.
 2. Click Get AntiVirus Plus / Buy now. This adds the subscription to checkout and shows the price plus any applicable tax.
 3. Create or sign in to your Norton account. New customers are asked to register with a valid email address. Use your real details.
 4. Enter your billing address. Type the name and address that match your Coinepay account and identity. A mismatch here is one of the most common reasons a card is declined.
 5. Choose card payment and enter your Coinepay card. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard, copy your virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, and enter them in Norton's payment form.
 6. Complete any 3-D Secure step. If your card requires extra confirmation, approve the prompt in the Coinepay app or follow the verification message.
 7. Review and place the order. Check the total, then confirm. Norton considers the order accepted once payment is accepted and it sends a confirmation email.
 8. Download and activate. Follow the confirmation email to sign in, download Norton and activate your subscription.

If a trial is offered, note that it requires a payment method at sign-up and converts to a paid annual subscription at the end unless you cancel first.

If your card is declined

A customer has reported the message "We are unable to process your order from the information provided. Please re-enter your payment information or try another payment method," and when updating a saved card, Norton documents "We are not able to process changes to your credit card information." Work through these common causes:

Insufficient balance

Make sure your Coinepay card holds enough to cover the full first-year charge plus any tax added at checkout. Top up in the app and try again. Remember the checkout total can be higher than the headline price once tax is applied.

Billing address mismatch

The billing name and address you type into Norton should match the details registered to your Coinepay card. Re-enter them carefully and remove typos or autofill errors, then resubmit.

3-D Secure not completed

If the payment needs an extra verification step, it will fail silently when ignored. Keep the Coinepay app handy to approve the request, then retry the order.

Merchant or region checks

Norton says products bought for one location may not be usable or activatable in another, and it has suspended new sales in Russia and Belarus. Its guidance for some markets also notes that cards not enabled by their issuing bank for certain regional (for example EU) transactions can cause billing problems. Buy from the Norton page for the country where you live and will use the software, using details that match your identity. Never use a VPN, a false address or a generated identity to get around regional checks — doing so can get the order cancelled and breaks Norton's terms.

Still not working?

Confirm the card details are entered exactly, wait a short while, and retry. You can check whether the charge was attempted or blocked in your Coinepay transaction history. If the issue persists, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card status, or reach out to Norton's own support about the specific error.

Managing, renewing and cancelling

Your saved card and billing details live in your Norton account under Billing info. To change cards, sign in, edit the existing card or add a new one and save; Norton then shows and emails an update confirmation.

Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel renewal before billing. Norton emails the renewal price in advance and may bill up to 35 days before the term ends, so keep your Coinepay card funded if you intend to continue — or cancel ahead of time if you don't. To stop future charges, go to My Account → My Subscriptions → Cancel Renewal / Manage Subscriptions and follow the steps; your already-paid term still runs to its end date.

For purchases made directly from Norton, an annual purchase and each annual renewal charge qualify for a full refund if requested within 60 days. After that, the UK, Germany and Netherlands policy allows a prorated refund of full months remaining after an annual renewal, and Quebec has separate prorated provisions. Refund requests go through Norton support and require uninstalling the software. Purchases made through a third party may follow different terms.

A note on Coinepay cards for subscriptions

A dedicated virtual card is handy for recurring security subscriptions like Norton: you can keep a predictable balance on it and watch each renewal in your Coinepay dashboard. Businesses can even issue separate cards with custom spending limits for different services. Just remember to keep the card funded ahead of each renewal date so an automatic charge doesn't fail. FAQ

Which Norton AntiVirus Plus plan should I pick?

Norton AntiVirus Plus is usually sold by device coverage (for example one device or five devices) rather than named tiers. Norton 360 Standard, Deluxe and with LifeLock Select Plus are separate products. Choose the coverage you need on your regional Norton page and confirm the price at checkout.

Why was my Coinepay card declined at Norton checkout?

The most common causes are insufficient balance for the full first-year price plus tax, a billing address that doesn't match your card details, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, or merchant region checks. Fix each in turn and retry. If it still fails, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card status.

Will Norton AntiVirus Plus renew automatically?

Yes. Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel renewal first. Norton emails the renewal price beforehand and may bill up to 35 days before your term ends, so keep your Coinepay card funded or cancel in advance under My Account → My Subscriptions.

Can I get a refund if I pay with a virtual card?

For purchases directly from Norton, an annual purchase and each annual renewal qualify for a full refund if requested within 60 days; requests go through Norton support and require uninstalling the software. Any refund is returned to the card used. Third-party purchases may differ.

Do I need to verify my identity before using a Coinepay card for Norton?

Yes. You must register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Always use your real name and billing address that match your Coinepay account when paying.
