You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at OVHcloud checkout when ordering an eligible service. OVHcloud sells several kinds of hosting and cloud products, so start by choosing the product and country-specific storefront that match your needs. This guide walks through a web-hosting order, then explains how to manage payments and investigate a decline.

Before you start

Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using its card services. You can manage your card in the Coinepay app or 24/7 self-service dashboard; the issued virtual card provides a card number, expiry date and CVV. Check the app for your available balance and any card settings relevant to the purchase. Card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions, and some Coinepay services are not available in every jurisdiction.

You will also need an OVHcloud account, access to your email for an account-verification code, and your real billing details. Choose the OVHcloud website intended for your country of residence rather than entering a different country to change the checkout options. OVHcloud says customers ordering from another country should use that country’s appropriate website and account. Product availability and payment options can differ by region.

Review the full amount due before paying. A web-hosting offer may advertise a monthly equivalent while requiring a longer initial purchase; introductory and renewal amounts can differ. Taxes and any extras selected during checkout can affect the total. Check the official OVHcloud product page and order summary for current terms rather than relying on a headline price.

Choose the right OVHcloud product

OVHcloud web hosting is not one universal subscription. Its Eco Web Hosting range includes Starter and Personal, called Perso in France. Business Web Hosting includes Startup, Pro and Performance; Web Hosting for Agencies includes Agency, Agency Plus and Agency Max. Its free hosting offer comes with a qualifying domain purchase rather than being a standalone paid tier.

Pick a hosting offer based on your site’s requirements, then read its displayed purchase term, renewal terms and any domain options. If you need Public Cloud instead, use its separate pricing and ordering flow: Public Cloud has usage-based charges, not the web-hosting plan prices. Check its product and regional availability before ordering. In particular, do not treat a web-hosting checkout total as an estimate for a Public Cloud project.

How to sign up and pay

  1. Prepare your Coinepay card. Register with Coinepay if you have not already, complete identity verification, and open the app or dashboard to find your virtual card details. Make sure the available balance covers the full OVHcloud checkout amount, including applicable tax and selected extras. Do not use a placeholder or invented billing address.
  2. Select a product on the appropriate OVHcloud storefront. Compare the available web-hosting offers, choose the one you want and proceed to its order flow. Review the term and any options you add before continuing.
  3. Create or sign in to your OVHcloud account. During account creation, OVHcloud asks you to select a tax-residence country, currency and Control Panel language, then provide an email address and password. Enter the one-time code it sends to your email. If you already have an account, sign in to continue the order.
  4. Check the order summary. Confirm the product, billing country, purchase term, renewal information, taxes and final amount shown for your account. Correct any inaccurate account or billing details through OVHcloud’s normal account flow before attempting payment.
  5. Enter the virtual card at payment. OVHcloud lets you select a saved payment method or add one when paying an order. Enter the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV, plus your real billing information as requested. On its general site, OVHcloud lists credit/debit cards, PayPal and a prepaid account as payment options and names Visa, Mastercard and Maestro among accepted cards. Its US payment guidance separately lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal. Those lists do not establish that any particular card will be accepted; contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets a checkout requirement before buying if you are unsure.
  6. Complete any payment verification. Follow the authentication instructions shown at checkout, including a bank-requested SMS confirmation if one appears. Keep the checkout open until it reports the result. OVHcloud may also review an order separately before delivering the service, so a submitted payment does not necessarily mean immediate activation.

If you leave checkout before finishing, sign in to OVHcloud and look under My orders for the unfinished order. Check its status before placing a duplicate order.

Manage the payment method and renewal

In the general OVHcloud Control Panel, open your name at the top right → My payment methods to add or remove a method or change the default. The US Control Panel calls this entry Payment method. Use My bills to review invoices and My orders to check orders. Keeping a card saved does not replace checking whether it has sufficient available balance when a renewal is due.

To review a service’s renewal or cancellation options, open My offers and services. For eligible subscriptions, the cancellation path is My offers and services → ⋯ → Cancel my subscription. Cancellation ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current subscription, and OVHcloud says a cancellation request can be reversed until 24 hours before that date. Back up your data first: cancelled hosting, server or email service data may be deleted. Refund and withdrawal rights depend on the product, contracting entity and applicable terms; do not assume cancelling produces an automatic refund.

Troubleshoot a declined card or stalled order

First, check the exact message in OVHcloud and the order status under My orders. A failed card payment, an authentication interruption and an order awaiting OVHcloud review are different problems. Avoid repeatedly resubmitting without checking: OVHcloud says a payment method can be disabled after repeated unsuccessful attempts or a negative payment response.

  • Insufficient balance: Compare the Coinepay available balance with the final checkout amount, not just the advertised monthly equivalent. Account for the selected term, taxes and extras. Check your card and funding information in Coinepay before trying again; contact Coinepay support if the balance or a card transaction does not look right.
  • Billing-details mismatch: Recheck the name, address and other details entered at OVHcloud against your real account and billing information. Correct errors rather than substituting a different address. If your account country or tax residence is wrong, resolve that through OVHcloud’s legitimate account process.
  • 3-D Secure or other payment confirmation: If checkout requests authentication, complete the prompt using the method provided. OVHcloud notes that a bank-requested SMS confirmation may be required. If the prompt does not arrive or the page closes, inspect My orders before attempting payment again, then ask Coinepay support about the card-side result if needed.
  • Merchant or region checks: Check that you are ordering through the OVHcloud storefront appropriate to your country and that the selected product and payment option are offered there. If OVHcloud rejects the order after payment submission, contact OVHcloud about its order decision; contact Coinepay support separately if you need to confirm card eligibility. Do not change your identity, billing country or location information to bypass a restriction.
  • Payment-method form will not work: OVHcloud’s US support says an ad-blocker can interfere with adding a payment method. Try the form with the interfering extension disabled, while using OVHcloud’s normal site and your accurate details.

An “Awaiting documents” order status can mean OVHcloud needs information for order verification, such as identity and card details; it does not by itself show that the card issuer declined payment. Follow OVHcloud’s official request and share sensitive documents only through the process it provides. Likewise, a visible amount after an unsuccessful or cancelled order may be a temporary card authorization rather than a completed purchase. OVHcloud says card authorization holds can take up to 15 days to disappear. Check the order and transaction status before paying again, and contact the relevant support team if either remains unclear.

FAQ

Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to pay for OVHcloud?

You can enter its card details at an OVHcloud card checkout, but acceptance depends on the selected storefront, product and payment checks. Contact Coinepay support to confirm card eligibility if the checkout specifies a requirement.

Where can I change my card for OVHcloud renewals?

In the general OVHcloud Control Panel, select your name at the top right, then My payment methods. The US Control Panel labels the entry Payment method.

Why is my OVHcloud order awaiting documents?

OVHcloud may be reviewing the order and requesting verification information. Check My orders and follow its official instructions; the status alone does not mean your card was declined.

What if I see a card charge but my OVHcloud order failed?

Check My orders and the card transaction status. The amount may be a temporary authorization hold; OVHcloud says card holds can take up to 15 days to disappear. Contact support if the status remains unclear.
