Coinepay Global Remittance supports transfers from Qatar to Bangladesh. You can choose a payout method shown for your transfer, review the exchange rate and fees before confirming, and track the transfer afterward. This guide explains what to collect from your recipient and how to avoid common payout problems.
What you need before you start
You need a Coinepay account with identity verification completed. Use your real identity and provide accurate information about the transfer. Coinepay may ask for documents or information about the purpose or source of funds, and transfers are subject to sanctions screening and local regulations.
Ask your recipient for their full legal name exactly as it appears on their bank account, mobile wallet registration or identity document, depending on the payout method. Also confirm which method they can use. Bangladesh’s local currency is the Bangladeshi taka (BDT); check the currency displayed for your selected payout before you proceed.
- Bank deposit: Ask for the bank name, branch name, district and account number. Have the recipient confirm any additional code requested in the transfer form.
- Mobile wallet: Ask for the recipient’s registered name and the wallet account number. Confirm that the account is active and able to receive a remittance.
- Cash pickup: Ask for the recipient’s legal name as shown on their identification and confirm that they can visit an available pickup location with the documents specified in the pickup instructions.
Do not substitute your own account or another person’s details for the intended recipient’s. A name or account mismatch can prevent payout.
Choose how the recipient will receive money
Bank-account deposit
For a deposit to a Bangladeshi bank account, enter the recipient’s name as recorded by their bank, along with the bank name, branch name, district and account number when requested. Ask the recipient to copy the account number from a bank statement or their banking app rather than relying on memory. Bank and branch information helps identify where the account is held.
Bangladesh does not have a nationally registered IBAN format. Use the recipient’s actual Bangladeshi account details; do not invent or add an IBAN. If the selected transfer route asks for a domestic routing number, get it from the recipient’s bank. Bangladesh’s routing number has nine digits and identifies a bank branch; it is not a replacement for the account number. If a bank-to-bank route asks for a SWIFT/BIC, confirm the receiving bank’s correct code with that bank. A SWIFT/BIC should not be guessed from the country or bank name. Follow the fields displayed for your specific transfer rather than assuming every code is required.
Mobile-wallet payout
Coinepay supports mobile-wallet payouts as a remittance method. For Bangladesh, select a wallet only if it appears among the options for your transfer from Qatar. bKash is a major local wallet: its remittance instructions call for a valid bKash account number and the recipient’s name as registered with bKash. An inactive account, incorrect details or a wallet that cannot accept the payout may prevent receipt. Rocket is another local wallet associated with Dutch-Bangla Bank; check whether it appears as a selectable option before collecting Rocket details. Its remittance instructions call for the recipient’s name and Rocket account number.
Confirm the wallet provider, registered name and number directly with the recipient. Bangladesh’s rules route foreign-remittance payouts to mobile financial-service accounts through the banking channel, with wallet payout in BDT. A wallet is the local receiving method, not a way to bypass transfer checks.
Cash pickup
Coinepay also supports cash pickup. If it is offered for the Qatar-to-Bangladesh transfer you are setting up, choose an available pickup option and enter the recipient’s legal name carefully. Tell the recipient to follow the pickup instructions shown for that transfer and bring the required identification. Share any collection reference only with the intended recipient, if one is provided. They should check the pickup location and instructions before travelling.
How to send the transfer
- Sign in to Coinepay. Open the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app. If you are new, register and complete identity verification before starting a transfer.
- Start a Global Remittance transfer. Select Bangladesh as the destination and enter the amount. Check the sending and receiving currencies displayed; BDT is Bangladesh’s local payout currency.
- Choose the payout method. Select bank deposit, an available mobile wallet or cash pickup from the options presented for this transfer. The fields you need to complete will depend on that choice.
- Enter the recipient’s details. Use the full legal name and the verified bank, wallet or pickup details you collected. If a bank code is requested, get the exact code from the recipient or their bank instead of guessing.
- Review before confirming. Check the recipient’s name, destination, payout method and details. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm, so review those alongside the amount the recipient is expected to receive. Correct any mistake before submitting.
- Confirm and track. Confirm the transfer when everything is accurate. Use Coinepay’s transfer-status tracking in the dashboard or app to follow its progress. Keep the transfer reference or confirmation details for any support request.
What the recipient should check
Tell the recipient which payout method you selected and what name you used. For bank deposit, they should confirm that the account is open and can receive the payment. For a wallet, they should check that the registered name and number match, the account is active and it can accept the payout. For cash pickup, they should follow the identification and collection instructions for the selected location.
A receiving bank or payout provider may request information about the payment purpose or supporting documents under applicable rules. The recipient should respond through the provider’s normal process using truthful information. If you are sending a wage-earner remittance, do not assume that a government incentive applies: eligibility depends on the transfer and the relevant rules.
Troubleshooting a Bangladesh transfer
The recipient details are wrong
If you spot an error before confirming, return to the form and fix it. If you have already confirmed, contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference and the correct details. Do not assume an in-progress payment can be edited. A wrong bank account number, closed account or recipient-name mismatch may result in a returned bank transfer. Incorrect wallet details can also stop a payout.
The transfer is under review
Check its status and any request for information in your account. Identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulatory checks may require additional review. Coinepay or a receiving institution may ask for the payment purpose, source of funds or supporting documents. Provide accurate information through the requested channel; do not create another transfer to avoid a review.
The recipient has not received the money
First check the status in Coinepay. Then ask the recipient to check the relevant bank account, wallet or pickup instructions, including whether the name and account details match. Missing information, bank processing cutoffs and checks at the receiving end can affect when a payout is credited. If the status and the recipient’s records do not agree, contact support with the transfer reference and payout method.
The transfer was returned
Review the reason shown in your transfer status or ask support for guidance. Before making another transfer, have the recipient verify that their account is open and able to receive funds, or confirm the correct wallet details. Check any updated rate and fees shown before confirming a new transfer. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions.

FAQ
Do I need a Bangladeshi IBAN to send to a bank account?
No. Bangladesh has no nationally registered IBAN format. Use the recipient’s bank account details and provide a routing number or SWIFT/BIC only if the selected transfer asks for it.
Can the recipient receive money in a bKash wallet?
Choose bKash if it appears as a payout option for your transfer. You will need the recipient’s valid bKash account number and name as registered with bKash.
Can I see the exchange rate and fees before sending?
Yes. Coinepay displays the exchange rate and fees before you confirm the transfer.
What should I do if I entered the wrong recipient name or account number?
Correct it before confirming. If you already confirmed, contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference; do not assume the details can be changed afterward.
