xneelo is a South African web hosting and domain provider whose products are priced in rand and paid through online card gateways. If you want to settle an xneelo invoice with a Coinepay virtual card, this guide walks through what you need, how the checkout works for conventional hosting, standalone domains and xneelo Cloud, and what to do if a payment is declined.
Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV that you can use for software, advertising, AI subscriptions and online shopping. You will need to register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you can create and fund a card.
What you need before you start
- A verified Coinepay account with a virtual card created in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app (iOS / Android).
- Your card number, expiry date and CVV, which xneelo requires for card payments.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the full rand amount of the invoice you are paying.
- Your real billing details, matching the identity on your Coinepay account.
- Access to your phone or email for 3-D Secure authentication at checkout.
xneelo prices are quoted in South African rand and shown as VAT-inclusive on its product pages, including the German-hosted options. No separate euro or US-dollar price list was confirmed at the time of writing (October 2026), so your card will be charged in rand even if you are outside South Africa.

Step 1: Create and fund your Coinepay virtual card
- Sign in to the Coinepay app or dashboard and finish KYC if you have not already.
- Create a virtual card and note its number, expiry and CVV.
- Add enough balance to cover the xneelo amount. Conventional card invoices at xneelo are annual, so budget for twelve months rather than one when paying by card.
Step 2: Create your xneelo account
- Go to xneelo.co.za and create an account, then log in to the xneelo Control Panel.
- Set up two-factor authentication when prompted.
- Complete any account-detail verification xneelo requests.
Step 3: Order hosting or a domain
- In the Control Panel, use + Add product and choose from the product catalogue (for example a Web Hosting tier, server or domain).
- Follow the order process, which varies with your chosen payment method.
- To set your card as the account method, go to BILLING → Payments Details. Remember that one primary payment method applies across all services in a conventional account.
Step 4: Pay the invoice by card
- Open BILLING → Invoices in the Control Panel.
- Select the outstanding invoice and choose Pay Now.
- You are redirected to DPO to enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV.
- Complete 3-D Secure authentication if prompted, using the one-time step from your bank or card issuer.
- On success the invoice status changes to Paid.
A conventional card or EFT invoice is annual and payable within seven days. For cards xneelo specifies credit, debit or cheque cards that carry a CVV. South African-bank debit orders are the alternative for monthly, quarterly or half-yearly billing.
Paying for a standalone domain
An initial standalone domain registration requires an upfront debit- or credit-card payment through a gateway, even if your account's normal method is EFT or debit order. This upfront requirement does not apply when the domain is ordered together with hosting.
Paying for xneelo Cloud
Cloud sign-up creates a separate x-Account, billed independently from a conventional c-Account. To get started:
- Add a card and complete 3-D Secure.
- Pass an R1 verification charge that xneelo says is immediately reversed.
- Create your Cloud project.
Cloud x-Accounts use recurring card payment only, collected by PayGate on the first of each month. For Cloud, xneelo explicitly accepts Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards; acceptance of other card networks there is not confirmed. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card qualifies, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets this requirement before you buy.
Paying from outside South Africa
For customers outside South Africa, xneelo describes annual DPO card payment or bank transfer in rand. It also states that international credit cards cannot be used for its conventional monthly debit-order procedure. In practice that means the annual card route through DPO is the one to use for a card issued outside South Africa. If you need to confirm your Coinepay card works for this flow, reach out to Coinepay support first.
Troubleshooting a declined card
DPO's gateway documentation lists decline reasons such as "Do not honour," "Invalid card number," "Insufficient funds," "Expired card," and "Transaction not permitted to cardholder." Whether a specific wording is shown to you at xneelo is not confirmed, but the underlying causes map to a few fixable issues:
Insufficient balance
Conventional card invoices are annual, so the charge may be larger than a single month. Top up your Coinepay card to cover the full rand amount, including VAT, then retry Pay Now.
Billing address or details mismatch
Make sure the name and billing details you enter at checkout match those on your Coinepay account. Re-check the card number, expiry and CVV for typos, which can produce "Invalid card number" or "Do not honour" results.
3-D Secure failure
xneelo says that when an issuing bank rejects a 3-D Secure one-time PIN, the cardholder must contact that bank. Confirm your phone or email for the one-time step is up to date in the Coinepay app, complete the prompt promptly, and check your Coinepay notifications for any authentication request.
Region or card-type checks
Some gateways and merchants apply region or network checks. If a payment keeps failing after the steps above, it may relate to card type or issuing region rather than your balance. Do not try to work around region checks with false details; instead contact Coinepay support to confirm your card details, and contact xneelo if the issue is on their side.
Refunds and cancellation
xneelo's help centre describes a full hosting-fee refund for a change of mind within seven days and a hosting-fee refund for dissatisfaction within the first 30 days; third-party costs can be excluded, so these are not unconditional refunds of every charge. Conventional Web Hosting cancellation is submitted under the product's Advanced → Cancel package, with a normal 30-day notice period and a final month's hosting fees. For unpaid Cloud invoices, xneelo retries on the 1st, 4th and 7th, restricts resources from day 10 and permanently deletes them if still unpaid at 08:00 SAST on day 28. Keep your Coinepay card funded to avoid that outcome.
Keep your records straight
Every Coinepay card charge appears in your dashboard, which makes it easy to reconcile against your xneelo invoices. If you run several projects, you can use separate virtual cards to keep hosting, domains and Cloud spending apart. Always use your real identity and real billing details, and check the Coinepay app for your available balance, supported currencies and any card specifics.

FAQ
Which payment gateway does xneelo use for card payments?
Conventional-account invoices paid with Pay Now route you to DPO to enter your card details and complete 3-D Secure. xneelo Cloud x-Accounts use recurring card payments collected by PayGate on the first of each month.
Can I pay xneelo with a Coinepay card from outside South Africa?
xneelo describes annual DPO card payment or bank transfer in rand for international customers and says international credit cards cannot be used for its monthly debit-order procedure. Charges are in rand. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card suits this flow before you buy.
Why was my xneelo card payment declined?
Common causes include insufficient balance (annual card invoices can be large), mistyped card details, a billing-detail mismatch, or a failed 3-D Secure step. xneelo says a bank's rejection of a 3-D Secure PIN must be resolved with your issuer. Check your balance and details in the Coinepay app, then retry.

On 19 October 2026 the Web Hosting tiers were Basic R99, Standard R149, Advanced R279 and Master R439 per month, VAT-inclusive. Prices change, so confirm the current figure on the xneelo.co.za web hosting page before paying.
Is the R1 charge when signing up for xneelo Cloud a real cost?
xneelo says the R1 verification charge during Cloud x-Account sign-up is immediately reversed. Make sure your Coinepay card has a small available balance so the verification can process, then create your Cloud project.
