The WhatsApp Business app is free to download and use, so you do not need a card to start using it. If you want a paid subscription, first identify which product your account offers: Meta Verified for Business on WhatsApp and Meta One have different plans and checkout paths. This guide explains how to try paying with a Coinepay virtual card, what to check before confirming, and how to investigate a declined payment.
Know what you are buying
Meta Verified for Business on WhatsApp offers four named tiers: Business Standard, Business Plus, Business Premium and Business Max. Published benefits vary by tier, including linked-device and verified-channel allowances. Meta One is a separate subscription with Essential, Advanced, Expert and Max tiers. Do not assume that a Meta One price or benefit applies to a WhatsApp-only Meta Verified subscription.
Neither subscription should be confused with Click-to-WhatsApp ads, paid broadcasts or the separately priced WhatsApp Business Platform. For example, payment methods listed for Click-to-WhatsApp ads are ad-payment options, not a promise that the same methods work for a subscription.
Prices and offers vary by region and account. Check the plan details shown in WhatsApp Business and the product’s official pricing page before purchasing. Meta One availability is still account-dependent; its appearance in announcements does not mean it is offered in every WhatsApp Business app. If a subscription entry is missing, do not try to work around the account’s regional or eligibility checks.
What you need before checkout
- A WhatsApp Business account: Use your real business and account information. Review the subscription’s eligibility requirements and the plan offered to your account.
- A Coinepay account: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. You can manage your account in the self-service dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app for iOS or Android.
- Your card details and available funds: Coinepay issues virtual cards with a card number, expiry date and CVV. Check the applicable funding and card information in your Coinepay account, and allow for the amount displayed at checkout and future renewals.
- Accurate billing details: Enter your real billing name and address where requested. They should match the details associated with the payment method and purchasing account; do not substitute an address from another country to pass a region check.
Card eligibility depends on the checkout used for your purchase. In particular, Meta One payment methods depend on the Apple App Store or Google Play account through which you subscribe. The checkout, store and card issuer can each apply payment checks; having a virtual card does not establish that a particular purchase will be approved. If checkout specifies a card-type or issuing-country restriction, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before you buy.
How to subscribe to Meta Verified for Business on WhatsApp
- Open the WhatsApp Business app and look under Settings or Business Tools → Meta Verified. WhatsApp says that if the entry is absent, Meta Verified is not currently available to that account.
- Review the tiers offered to you. Compare Business Standard, Business Plus, Business Premium and Business Max using the benefits and renewal terms displayed in the app. Confirm the amount shown for your account rather than using a price quoted for another Meta product.
- Follow the in-app prompts to provide any requested business information and reach payment. Where the checkout offers card entry, enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV, together with your real billing details. If payment is handled elsewhere, follow that checkout’s instructions and accepted-method rules.
- Review the final charge, renewal terms and payment method, then confirm only if they are correct. Complete any authentication requested during checkout rather than repeatedly submitting the payment while an approval step is pending.
- Watch for the outcome in WhatsApp Business. Payment is not the same as verification approval: Meta Verified submits the business for review after payment. WhatsApp says review can take up to three business days and sometimes longer.
After subscribing, WhatsApp documents a payment-management route at Tools → Meta Verified → Enhanced Support → Meta Verified account → Manage subscription. Use the options displayed there to review or manage your subscription. If you cannot locate the route or a charge needs investigation, consult WhatsApp’s in-app help and your Coinepay transaction information.
How to pay for Meta One if your account offers it
Meta One has its own checkout. In WhatsApp Business, the documented path is Settings → Subscriptions → Meta One → choose an available plan → Continue → review payment information → confirm purchase. On Android, Google Play processes the purchase. Check the purchasing store’s accepted methods and the actual payment options shown at checkout before trying to use your Coinepay card. An accepted method in one country or store may not be available for your purchase.
Meta One payment details appear under WhatsApp Settings → Subscriptions → Meta One → Payment method. Payment history and billing changes may also need to be handled in the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to subscribe. Keep track of that account: a failed default payment may result in a charge to a backup method or a short grace period before cancellation. Meta One renews monthly unless canceled.
What to check if your card is declined
A message such as “Your payment didn’t go through. You may need to try again.” does not, by itself, identify the cause. Google Play may instead show “Your payment was declined due to an issue with your account” or “Your transaction cannot be completed.” Work through the relevant checks before retrying:
- Available funds: Check your Coinepay account against the amount shown at checkout. A subscription renewal can fail too, so check the payment method associated with the active subscription rather than only the card you intended to use.
- Billing details: Correct any typo in the billing name or address. If Google Play or the Apple App Store is processing the purchase, review the details and any verification alerts in that purchasing account.
- Authentication: If checkout requests 3-D Secure or another approval step, complete the prompt promptly using the method presented. If no prompt appears or it fails, avoid assuming the card was charged; check the transaction status and ask Coinepay support for help with a card-side decline.
- Merchant and store region checks: Confirm that the subscription is offered to your WhatsApp Business account and that the purchasing store permits your payment method for this transaction. Do not change your identity, billing location or account region merely to evade a restriction. Ask Coinepay support about any stated card requirement and contact the relevant store or WhatsApp support about its checkout rules.
- Other account restrictions: Check the store for unpaid orders or account-verification requests. Apple notes that an issuer restriction on international purchases can also block an App Store transaction. Coinepay support can help investigate the card side; the purchasing store can help with store-account issues.
Manage renewal or cancel a subscription
For Meta One, WhatsApp documents Settings → Subscriptions → Meta One → Cancel subscription → Complete cancellation; you may also be able to cancel through the app store used to purchase it. Uninstalling WhatsApp Business does not cancel the subscription. WhatsApp recommends canceling at least 24 hours before renewal. Benefits continue through the paid billing period, and cancellation does not provide a credit or refund unless required by law.
For Meta Verified, use the subscription-management options shown in your account. WhatsApp says Meta Verified support ends after the current billing cycle when the subscription is canceled. Review the applicable terms before paying, particularly if business review is important to your decision. If a WhatsApp Business account is banned for specified policy violations, WhatsApp says it automatically loses Meta Verified and is not eligible for a refund.
Coinepay card issuance and fund services are provided by licensed partner financial institutions. Some Coinepay services are not available in every jurisdiction; check your eligibility and current account options in the Coinepay dashboard or contact support if you need help before checkout.
