Roblox Premium is the subscription that gives members a monthly Robux stipend plus trading and resale perks. If you want to keep an existing Premium membership running, or you are looking at Roblox's current subscription instead, this guide shows how to attach a Coinepay virtual card and what to do if a payment is declined. Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant number, expiry date and CVV that you can use for online shopping and subscriptions, all managed from the app or dashboard.

Important: Premium is no longer open to new sign-ups

Before you start, note a change on Roblox's side. According to Roblox's official Premium help page, Roblox Premium stopped accepting new purchases on April 30, 2026. Existing subscribers can keep their membership, but once a subscription is cancelled it cannot be restarted. That means there is no new-purchase checkout for Premium today.

What this means for you:

  • If you are an existing Premium subscriber (for example on a legacy Premium 450, Premium 1000 or Premium 2200 tier, where the number is the monthly Robux stipend), you can update your payment method and keep the subscription renewing.
  • If you are new to subscriptions, Premium sign-up is unavailable. Roblox's currently offered subscription is Roblox Plus, which comes as Roblox Plus (no monthly Robux), Plus 500, Plus 1000 and Plus 2000.

This guide covers both situations. Always confirm the latest terms on Roblox's own help pages, since policies can change.

What you need before you pay

  • A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. You can register with Coinepay and verify first, then create a virtual card. Download the app for iOS or Android.
  • A Coinepay virtual card with enough balance to cover the charge plus any small verification hold.
  • Your card's billing details exactly as they appear in Coinepay. Roblox requires the billing information to match your financial institution's records.
  • A Roblox account signed in on the web or desktop. Roblox states that payment methods cannot be added or updated from its mobile app.
Roblox says it accepts "all major" credit and debit cards but does not publish an exhaustive list of accepted networks or guarantee any specific card. Whether a particular merchant accepts a given card is not something Coinepay can promise. If you are unsure, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card details before you buy.

Create and fund your Coinepay virtual card

  1. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and complete KYC if you have not already.
  2. Create a virtual card. You will immediately see the card number, expiry date and CVV.
  3. Add funds so the balance comfortably covers the subscription price for your region plus a possible temporary authorization.
  4. Note your billing name, address and postal code in Coinepay so you can enter them to match at checkout.

Update the card on an existing Premium subscription

If you already subscribe to Premium and simply want to change the card that renews it:

  1. Sign in to Roblox on the web or a desktop browser.
  2. Go to Settings → Subscriptions. Here you can see your Premium renewal and expiry dates.
  3. For Premium billed through Stripe (identifiable on your recurring-membership receipt), update the payment method in this area. Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry, CVV and the matching billing address.
  4. Alternatively, manage saved cards under Settings → Payment Methods, where you can add or remove a card.
  5. Save and confirm. Your next renewal should then draw from the Coinepay card.

Keep the card funded ahead of each renewal date. Roblox may retry a failed Premium renewal for up to 72 hours; if it still fails, the membership is cancelled and cannot be restarted.

Paying for Roblox Plus (the current subscription)

If Premium sign-up is closed to you, here is how to pay for the replacement Plus subscription with your Coinepay card:

  1. Sign in to Roblox on the web or desktop and open the purchase/upgrade page.
  2. Choose a Plus option: Roblox Plus, Plus 500, Plus 1000 or Plus 2000 (the last three include the stated monthly Robux amount).
  3. Select a payment method at checkout. Roblox's Plus list supports web/desktop credit or debit cards, PayPal and gift-card credit, plus purchases through Apple's App Store or Google Play.
  4. Enter your Coinepay card number, expiry, CVV and billing address exactly as stored in Coinepay.
  5. Review and authorize the recurring charge, then confirm.

On US web prices observed in October 2026, Roblox Plus was $4.99/month, Plus 500 $8.99/month, Plus 1000 $12.99/month and Plus 2000 $21.99/month. These are Plus prices, not Premium prices, and Roblox notes subscription fees can vary by country, region and app store. Always check the price shown on Roblox's official purchase page for your market before you confirm.

Troubleshooting card declines

Roblox lists an incorrect billing address, bank fraud controls and Roblox fraud controls as common reasons a card is declined. Work through these in order.

Billing address mismatch

This is the most frequent cause. Roblox requires the billing details you enter to match your financial institution's records. Copy the name, address and postal code from your Coinepay card profile character-for-character and try again.

Insufficient balance

A virtual card needs enough to cover the full charge plus any temporary authorization hold. Top up in the Coinepay app and retry. For prepaid-style failures, Roblox shows "Invalid Card or Unsuccessful Payment," often citing an unregistered card or mismatched billing details.

3-D Secure and verification steps

Some purchases trigger an extra verification step. Roblox notes that an uncompleted Xsolla verification can cause a purchase to be refused, and you may see a small micro-charge used to verify the card. Complete any confirmation prompt, and keep the Coinepay app open so you can approve the transaction if asked.

Fraud controls and generic errors

If you see a general message such as "An error occurred during this purchase," wait a few minutes and retry, or try once from a clean browser session. Repeated attempts can trip fraud controls, so avoid rapid retries.

Region and account checks

Roblox offers Plus in supported countries with some device-store exclusions, and it restricts saving a card to adults and bars saved cards in a list of 11 countries. These are account and region rules on Roblox's side. Use your real identity and billing country; do not try to disguise your location. If your card details are the sticking point, contact Coinepay support to confirm the card before retrying.

Managing, cancelling and refunds

For web or desktop Premium, you cancel renewal under Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel Renewal; subscriptions bought through Apple or Google Play must be cancelled in those stores. Paid benefits continue until the current term ends. Roblox states that membership renewals are non-refundable, though its subscription terms preserve rights that cannot legally be waived, and app-store purchases may need a refund request to the store. For an unauthorized charge, use Roblox's separate unauthorized-charges process.

You can keep an eye on every Coinepay charge and your balance in the app or dashboard, available 24/7. Need help with your card? Reach the team via support or on Telegram, or learn more at the Coinepay home page.

FAQ

Can I still buy a new Roblox Premium subscription with my Coinepay card?

No. Roblox's official help page states that Premium stopped accepting new purchases on April 30, 2026, so there is no new-purchase checkout. Existing subscribers can keep renewing, and new users can subscribe to Roblox Plus instead. You can use your Coinepay virtual card in either case where cards are accepted.

Why was my Coinepay card declined at Roblox checkout?

Roblox lists an incorrect billing address, bank fraud controls and Roblox fraud controls as common decline reasons. Make sure the billing name, address and postal code match your Coinepay card profile exactly, that the card has enough balance, and that you complete any verification prompt. If it still fails, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card details.

How do I change the card that renews my existing Premium membership?

Sign in to Roblox on web or desktop and go to Settings then Subscriptions to update the payment method for Premium billed through Stripe, or use Settings then Payment Methods to add your Coinepay card. Roblox says payment methods cannot be updated from its mobile app.

What happens if a Premium renewal payment fails?

Roblox may retry the charge for up to 72 hours after a failed renewal. If it still fails, the Premium subscription is cancelled and cannot be restarted. Keep your Coinepay card funded before the renewal date to avoid this.

Will my Coinepay virtual card definitely work on Roblox?

Roblox says it accepts all major credit and debit cards but does not publish an exhaustive list or guarantee any specific card, and Coinepay cannot promise a given merchant will accept a card. Check your card details in the Coinepay app and contact support if you want to confirm before buying.
