v0 is Vercel's AI tool for generating and shipping web UI from prompts. To unlock more messages and features you'll move from the Free tier to a paid plan, which means adding a card at checkout. This guide shows how to use a Coinepay virtual card to pay for v0, walks through sign-up and checkout, and covers the most common reasons a card is declined.
What you need before you start
- A verified Coinepay account. Register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you try to pay. You can manage everything from the 24/7 dashboard or the Coinepay app for iOS and Android.
- A Coinepay virtual card with its card number, expiry date and CVV, which are shown in the app as soon as the card is issued.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the plan plus any applicable tax. v0 prices are shown in USD and exclude taxes, which are calculated from your billing address.
- Your real billing details — the name and address tied to your Coinepay account. Use your genuine identity; do not use fake addresses or try to bypass any region check.
- A Vercel account, because v0 signs in through Vercel.
v0 plans at a glance
At the time of writing (October 2026), the v0 pricing page lists these plans. Always confirm current names and prices on the official v0 pricing page before you buy, as they change.
| Plan | Price (seen Oct 2026) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | US$0/month | Listed with a limit of 7 messages/day. |
| Plus | US$30/user/month | Shown with US$90 struck through; the duration of that displayed price is not stated. |
| Business | US$100/user/month | Per user, per month. |
| Enterprise | Custom | Contact v0's sales team. |
These v0 plans are distinct from Vercel's platform plans (Hobby, Pro, Enterprise). The v0 changelog notes the plan once called Team was renamed Plus, so trust the live pricing page for the names offered to new buyers. The older Premium plan is being sunset and is not available to new users. For the US, UK, EU, India and other markets, the page shows those same USD prices and says taxes are added based on your billing address.
Step 1: Create or log in to your v0 account
Go to v0.app and sign in. v0 uses a Vercel account; Vercel's sign-up page currently shows Google, GitHub, ChatGPT, Apple and email options, though which appear in every v0 flow can vary. Choose one and finish creating the account if you don't already have one.
Step 2: Choose your plan
Open the v0 pricing page and select the plan you want, for example Plus. At checkout you can pick an existing Vercel team or create a new one, and you can choose to grant v0 seats to existing team members.
Watch the team scope. v0's documentation notes that, in the documented Hobby-team scenario, creating a new team also requires a Vercel Pro subscription costing an additional US$20/month, which adds no v0 capabilities. If you only want v0, pick an existing scope where possible so you don't pay for something you don't need.
Step 3: Add your Coinepay virtual card
Payment methods and invoices are shared with Vercel. There are two places you may add a card depending on scope:
- Account or team billing in v0: go to your avatar → Account Settings → Billing, which shows your plan, credits, payment methods and invoices (invoices open in Vercel).
- A Vercel team card: go to the team dashboard → Settings → Billing → Payment Method → Add new card.
Open your Coinepay app, copy the virtual card number, expiry and CVV, and enter them along with your billing name and address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. Confirm the subscription.
Step 4: Confirm and keep your records
After the charge goes through, check that the plan shows as active in Account Settings → Billing. Your invoice is available there and opens in Vercel. Keeping the invoice helps if you later need support.
A note on accepted cards
v0 does not publish its own card-acceptance list. Vercel's Pro-plan billing FAQ (the closest reference) says it takes credit or debit cards and lists American Express, China UnionPay, Discover/Diners, JCB, Mastercard and Visa, and that the card provider must permit a charge converted to USD. That same FAQ describes gift cards, prepaid cards, EBT cards and some virtual cards as invalid. Whether v0 checkout enforces every one of these rules is not confirmed. Because of this, check your Coinepay app for your card's details and contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is suitable for a recurring USD subscription before you rely on it.
Troubleshooting: card declined on v0
One subscriber reported the message "Your payment has been declined. Please check your information and try again later." even after trying two cards. A decline message alone doesn't reveal the cause, so work through these checks. A July 2026 changelog entry notes failed checkout now offers a retry instead of hanging, and that billing gained more actionable error messages — so read any specific wording shown.
Insufficient balance
Make sure your Coinepay card holds enough for the plan plus tax calculated from your billing address, and remember subscriptions renew automatically, so keep funds available for the next cycle. Top up in the Coinepay app if needed.
Billing address mismatch
Enter the billing name and address that match your Coinepay account. Vercel lists incorrect details among its payment-failure causes, and address verification is a common reason a charge fails.
3-D Secure / authentication
A payment may need extra confirmation. Watch for a verification prompt during checkout and approve it promptly; check the Coinepay app for any notification you need to action, then retry.
Card type or issuer restriction
If the card is rejected outright, the issuer may be declining the USD charge or the card type may not be accepted. Vercel also lists expired cards, bank declines, lost or stolen cards and a missing or removed payment method as causes. Confirm the card is active in your Coinepay app, then contact Coinepay support to confirm the card can be used for recurring USD payments.
Recurring-payment rules (e.g. India)
Some users with Indian-issued cards have reported failures on recurring attempts. India's RBI operates an e-mandate framework for recurring card transactions; whether any specific v0 failure stems from that or from the checkout implementation is not confirmed. If renewals fail, review your billing method and reach out to both your card provider and Coinepay support.
Merchant region checks
Vercel does not publish a confirmed v0 country-by-country sales list, and its AI Product Terms prohibit use in or for US-embargoed countries and by prohibited parties. Use your real location and details; never use a VPN or false address to get around a region check.
Managing or cancelling your plan
To cancel, select the correct account or team scope, then go to avatar → Account Settings → Billing → Current Plan → Cancel Plan. The documented change to Free takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Note that Vercel's AI Product Terms state payments are final and non-refundable unless Vercel authorizes an exception in writing, and credits are not redeemable for cash; a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid fees applies only if Vercel terminates for reasons other than specified customer-related grounds, not for ordinary cancellation. Plan your spending with this in mind, and consider managing a dedicated Coinepay card balance for this subscription so renewals are predictable.

FAQ
Can I pay for v0 with a Coinepay virtual card?
You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at v0 checkout like any other card. However, v0 bills through Vercel, whose billing FAQ says some virtual cards and prepaid cards may be treated as invalid, and the card provider must allow a USD charge. Check your card details in the Coinepay app and contact Coinepay support to confirm your card suits a recurring USD subscription before you buy.
How much does v0 cost?
At the time of writing (October 2026), v0's pricing page listed Free at US$0/month, Plus at US$30/user/month (with US$90 struck through), Business at US$100/user/month, and Enterprise with custom pricing. Prices exclude taxes, which are based on your billing address. Always confirm current prices on the official v0 pricing page.
Why was my card declined on v0?
A decline message such as 'Your payment has been declined. Please check your information and try again later.' doesn't state the cause. Common reasons include insufficient balance, a billing address mismatch, a 3-D Secure prompt that wasn't completed, an expired or inactive card, or card-type/region restrictions. Check each, then contact Coinepay support if the card itself may be the issue.
Where do I add or change my card for v0?
For a v0 account or team scope, go to your avatar → Account Settings → Billing. For a Vercel team card, use the team dashboard → Settings → Billing → Payment Method → Add new card. Payment methods and invoices are shared with Vercel.
Can I get a refund if I cancel v0?
Cancel via avatar → Account Settings → Billing → Current Plan → Cancel Plan; the switch to Free takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Vercel's AI Product Terms state payments are final and non-refundable unless Vercel authorizes an exception in writing, so ordinary cancellations are generally not refunded.
