ShopeeVIP is a subscription offered through eligible local Shopee marketplaces, not one global plan. If your Shopee account offers card payment for the subscription, you can try paying with a Coinepay virtual card. Before subscribing, check your market’s card rules, the price shown in your Shopee app and whether your card meets the payment requirements.
What you need before you start
- An eligible Shopee account: Sign in to the Shopee app for the market where you legitimately shop. Availability varies by market and account. Singapore limits enrollment to eligible accounts, and Vietnam says ShopeeVIP has not reached every user.
- A Coinepay virtual card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. You can find your card number, expiry date and CVV in the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
- Accurate payment details: Use your real identity and billing details. Check the subscription amount and make sure you have sufficient available funds before submitting payment or a renewal.
- A card-eligible payment option: Shopee’s accepted methods differ by market and by transaction. A card appearing as an option for ordinary orders does not establish that it can be used for ShopeeVIP recurring billing.
Important for the Philippines: Shopee’s general card-checkout guidance lists locally issued, 3-D Secure-certified Mastercard, Visa and JCB cards. That requirement may prevent an otherwise usable card from working at checkout, and the general list does not confirm VIP recurring-payment eligibility. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the applicable requirement before you buy. Follow the payment options displayed by Shopee for your account; do not change your location or billing information to get around a restriction.
Check the ShopeeVIP offer in your market
Review the plan, duration, renewal terms and final amount in your local Shopee app before paying. These examples show why it matters to check the offer attached to your account:
- Singapore: ShopeeVIP offers 1-, 6- and 12-month plans. At the time of writing (October 2026), the listed prices were S$3.99 monthly, S$20.94 every six months and S$29.88 every 12 months. Selected users may see an introductory offer; later renewals use the regular price.
- Philippines: Shopee lists Shopee VIP and a separate Shopee VIP+ tier. VIP+ includes a choice of Netflix Mobile, Basic, Standard or Premium. At the time of writing (October 2026), Shopee’s help center stated a standard ₱99 monthly VIP fee after a discounted first month. Check your account for the durations, VIP+ price and benefits actually offered.
- Vietnam: ShopeeVIP can be opened from Home, Me or an order checkout page. At the time of writing (October 2026), listed prices were ₫29,000 for one month, ₫49,000 for three months, ₫79,000 for six months and ₫119,000 for 12 months. The three-month offer is available at order checkout. A bank-app or e-wallet transfer option for the 12-month plan does not auto-renew; it is a different payment route from using a card.
Prices and offers can change. Confirm current pricing and conditions on Shopee’s official pricing or subscription page for your market. Do not assume that benefits transfer between markets: for example, Philippine VIP shopping benefits apply to eligible physical goods on Shopee Philippines.
How to subscribe and try your Coinepay card
- Open the appropriate Shopee app and sign in. Use your existing account or complete Shopee’s sign-up prompts with your real details. Confirm that ShopeeVIP is offered to your account before preparing a payment.
- Find the subscription page. In Singapore, tap the ShopeeVIP logo on Home or Me. In the Philippines, go to Me → Shopee VIP → Subscribe. In Malaysia, the documented route is Me → ShopeeVIP → Get It Now → checkout; a one-click option may also appear during order checkout.
- Select the offer shown to you. Check its duration, benefits, renewal price and terms. In Singapore, choose a plan, review the terms and select Subscribe. In the Philippines, follow the subscription prompts to select a payment method and authenticate when asked.
- Choose a card if Shopee offers one for this purchase. Enter the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV from your Coinepay app or dashboard. Supply your real billing details where requested, then review the amount before confirming. Do not assume a saved card for shopping orders is automatically eligible for a VIP subscription.
- Complete any payment authentication. Follow the verification prompt presented by the payment flow. Return to the ShopeeVIP page and check whether the subscription is active; do not treat a submitted card form alone as proof of payment.
If card payment is absent, or Shopee says the card is ineligible, use a payment method Shopee offers to your account or ask Coinepay support about your card. In the Philippines, Shopee lists ShopeePay, SPayLater, MariBank, credit/debit card and linked bank for users with an active, fully verified ShopeePay account; its FAQ lists GCash for users without that verified account. Availability depends on the account and checkout.
How to troubleshoot a declined payment
Insufficient funds or a transaction limit
Check the amount Shopee is attempting to charge against your available card funds and any applicable card limits in the Coinepay app. Shopee Philippines also lists insufficient available credit or transaction limits among possible general checkout obstacles; those are not VIP-specific error codes. Check the exact amount and status before trying again, and contact Coinepay support if the card transaction remains unclear.
Billing details do not match
Re-enter the card number, expiry date, CVV and your real billing information carefully. Correct a typo rather than trying a different identity or address. If Shopee asks for billing details that you cannot verify for your card, ask Coinepay support what to enter before resubmitting.
Authentication or 3-D Secure does not complete
Complete any verification requested at checkout and check that you can receive the relevant authentication prompt or one-time password. Shopee Philippines identifies OTP-contact problems as a possible general card-checkout obstacle. If no prompt appears, it expires or authentication fails, check the Shopee payment status before retrying; Shopee and Coinepay support can help identify which step failed. Do not assume every card or transaction supports the same authentication flow.
Merchant region or card-eligibility checks
Shopee Philippines identifies unsupported overseas or bank-issued cards, cards flagged for misuse and seller payment restrictions as possible general checkout obstacles. Its locally issued, 3-D Secure-certified card rule makes checking eligibility especially important there. A decline may also reflect a market-specific subscription rule rather than insufficient funds. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Shopee’s stated requirements, and ask Shopee about the payment options available for your account. Do not attempt to bypass regional checks.
Check renewals or cancel the subscription
Subscription management takes place in Shopee. In Singapore, subscription details and cancellation are on the ShopeeVIP landing page. Shopee describes “Your subscription is pending payment” as a failed-renewal status; check card funds and the payment method if you see it. Shopee says it retries every two days for up to 14 days. Cancellation retains benefits through the paid cycle, but Shopee says paid subscriptions are non-refundable and does not reimburse a partly used multi-month plan.
In the Philippines, the renewal date is on the VIP page. Shopee tries linked methods in the sequence shown under ShopeePay Settings → Linked Services → Preferred Payment Methods. If none succeeds, benefits pause while Shopee retries every two days for 30 days, after which it terminates the subscription. To avoid the next charge, Shopee instructs users to cancel through Me → Shopee VIP → Cancel Subscription at least one day before renewal. Paid fees are generally non-refundable; the terms separately describe a prorated refund of unused base-VIP full months when upgrading to VIP+.
If a charge appears in Coinepay but your VIP page does not show the expected status, keep the transaction details and contact Shopee about the subscription and Coinepay support about the card transaction. Check both records before attempting another payment.
