You can use a Coinepay virtual card to attempt a Vinted purchase or pay for an optional seller promotion where card payment is offered. Vinted has no subscription tiers or recurring payments, so there is no Vinted plan to subscribe to. This guide covers card setup, item checkout, one-off promotions and what to check if a payment fails.

What you need before paying

  • A Vinted account: Vinted offers sign-up with email, Facebook, Google or Apple ID. Its accounts are intended for adults; a parent or guardian is responsible for an under-18 user’s account.
  • A Coinepay account and card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Once your virtual card is issued, its number, expiry date and CVV are available instantly. You can manage it through the Coinepay app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
  • Your real account and billing details: Use accurate personal information and an address you are entitled to use. Keep the delivery and billing details requested at checkout accurate; do not use a different region or invented address to try to pass payment checks.
  • Enough available funds: Budget for the item, delivery, Vinted’s mandatory fee and any optional charge shown before payment. Check the available amount and any applicable card settings in Coinepay before placing the order.

Payment methods depend on the Vinted market and member. Vinted’s US help information includes virtual cards among its card-payment options, but that does not establish that every virtual card will work for every purchase. Check the payment choices displayed in your own checkout and ask Coinepay support about any card-specific requirements before buying.

How to create a Vinted account and pay for an item

  1. Sign up or sign in. Open Vinted’s official site or app for your market. Choose an available email, Facebook, Google or Apple ID sign-up option, then follow the account prompts. Complete any verification Vinted requests using your real information.
  2. Find an item and select Buy now. Read the listing, condition, seller information and delivery options first. If you need to clarify something about the item, contact the seller before paying.
  3. Enter delivery details. Supply your address and phone number if Vinted requests them. Choose a delivery option available for that listing and location.
  4. Select a card payment option. At checkout, choose an available card option and enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as displayed. If you previously saved a card, check which one is selected: Vinted may preselect the last-used card on a later purchase.
  5. Review the full order. Check the item price, shipping, mandatory Vinted fee and any optional verification charge presented for that order. The amount shown at checkout is the figure to review, rather than an estimate from another market or purchase.
  6. Press Pay and complete any authentication. Follow any security prompt that appears. Wait for Vinted’s order confirmation instead of assuming that a card notification alone means the purchase succeeded.

You can also manage saved cards under Profile → Settings → Payments, where Vinted lets you add or delete them. If you would rather enter the card during a purchase, Vinted also allows a card to be added at checkout. Check the selected payment method each time, particularly if you have more than one saved card.

If you have Vinted Wallet earnings, Vinted applies them automatically to a purchase and requests another payment method for any shortfall. Where offered, Apple Pay is available in Vinted’s iOS app; Google Pay is available in its Android app and on the web. Those choices vary by market and do not change the need to verify the final order amount.

What Vinted charges—and what is not a subscription

Vinted says standard listings and sales have no seller fee, and it does not offer subscription tiers or recurring payments. Buyers should nevertheless review the mandatory Vinted fee on each order. At the time of writing (October 2026), Vinted’s US help page described that fee as usually 5% of the item or bundle price plus $0.70. Its UK page described a usual range of 3%–8% plus £0.30–£0.80. These are market-specific descriptions, not a quote for your order; check Vinted’s official help or pricing information for your market and the actual checkout total before paying.

If you sell on Vinted, item Bump and Showcase are optional, one-off paid promotions, not plans. Bump is offered for 3 or 7 days; Showcase runs for 7 days and was formerly called Wardrobe Spotlight. Vinted displays the applicable promotion price before payment: Bump pricing depends on the item and duration, while Showcase pricing depends on listing count and value. Review the offer and card option presented for that promotion before confirming it. Vinted Pro is a free account for eligible businesses, sole traders and charities, not a paid subscription; eligibility and availability depend on the market.

Why a Vinted card payment might be declined

Vinted identifies several possible causes of payment failure, including temporary technical faults, incorrect card details, insufficient funds, issuer security restrictions or spending limits, authentication problems, and pending identity or business verification. It does not provide a single decline-code list that can diagnose every failed payment. Work through the checks below rather than repeatedly submitting the same order.

  • Insufficient available funds: Compare your card’s available amount with the complete Vinted checkout total, including shipping, the mandatory fee and any optional charge. Check the balance in Coinepay; if necessary, fund the card through the options available to you before trying again.
  • Incorrect card or billing details: Re-enter the number, expiry and CVV carefully. If Vinted requests a billing address, use your genuine billing details and correct any mismatch or typo. Check that Vinted has not preselected a different saved card under Profile → Settings → Payments.
  • Authentication did not complete: If a 3-D Secure or other card-security prompt appears, finish it as instructed rather than closing the window or switching away. If the prompt fails or never appears, check your Coinepay app and ask support whether an authentication or security restriction affected the attempt.
  • Merchant or regional checks: Confirm that your Vinted account, delivery destination and payment details accurately reflect your circumstances and that the chosen payment method is offered in your market. Do not change or falsify those details to get around a restriction. If a card requirement is unclear, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy.
  • Verification or technical issues: Complete any identity or business verification Vinted requests. If Vinted reports a temporary problem, check your order status before trying once more later. If the issue persists, provide the error wording and time of the attempt to the relevant support team, without sharing your full card number or CVV.

A failed attempt can still produce a temporary charge or hold. Vinted says to allow 5 business days for its return, or 15 business days in rare cases. Check whether an order was created before making another payment. If the hold remains after the period Vinted specifies, contact Vinted and Coinepay support with the transaction details they request securely.

If you need to cancel or request a refund

For an item order, either party can cancel before shipment through the information menu in the order conversation. Vinted may also cancel an unshipped order after the seller’s shipping deadline. If you have already paid, use the order conversation and Vinted’s applicable policy rather than assuming that removing a saved card cancels the purchase.

For a purchase from a non-professional seller, Vinted’s refund policy requires you to select “I have an issue” within 2 calendar days of its delivered-or-lost notice to report a covered problem, such as an item that was lost, damaged in transit or significantly different from its description. Simply changing your mind is not covered under that policy. An eligible full refund covers the item, applicable Vinted fee and initial shipping; buyers generally pay return shipping when a return is required. Vinted says card, Apple Pay and Google Pay refunds go to the original funding method within 5 business days after cancellation.

Rules for Pro-seller purchases can differ: Vinted’s UK Pro information says buyers must be allowed to return an item within 14 days of receipt. Check the seller type and the policy shown for your order. Optional seller promotions have separate terms, too; Vinted says it will not refund a Bump removed for catalogue-rule violations or a Showcase removed for catalogue-rule or terms violations. Review those conditions before paying for a promotion.

FAQ

Does Vinted have a subscription I can pay for with Coinepay?

No. Vinted says it has no subscription tiers or recurring payments. Item Bump and Showcase are optional one-off paid promotions, while Vinted Pro is a free account for eligible sellers.

Where do I add or remove a card on Vinted?

Go to Profile → Settings → Payments to add or delete a saved card. You can also add a card at checkout; check the selection because Vinted may preselect your last-used card.

Why was my Coinepay card declined on Vinted?

Check the available balance against the full checkout total, card and genuine billing details, any authentication prompt, and Vinted verification requests. Payment availability and regional checks may also affect an attempt. Contact support if the reason remains unclear.

How long should I wait for a hold after a failed Vinted payment?

Vinted says a temporary charge or hold from a failed payment should be returned within 5 business days, or 15 business days in rare cases. Check whether an order was created before retrying.
