How to subscribe and pay with your Coinepay card

What to check if your card payment does not go through

la Repubblica’s published terms do not provide a list of card-decline codes or exact error messages. Treat the wording shown on your checkout screen and any card notification as clues, not proof of a particular cause. Work through these checks before making another attempt:

Insufficient balance: Compare the available amount on your Coinepay card with the final amount at checkout, not just the headline promotional price. Make sure funds are available, then retry only after confirming the first attempt did not complete. For a renewal, compare the available amount with the post-promotion rate.
Billing address mismatch: Recheck the name, address and other billing fields you entered for mistakes. Use your real details consistently; an invented or borrowed address can create further verification problems.
3-D Secure or another verification step: If checkout presents an authentication request, complete it promptly using the instructions shown. If it expires or fails, start a fresh checkout attempt and watch for a new request. Unless your selected offer says otherwise, the subscription continues until cancelled. la Repubblica asks customers to request cancellation at least 24 hours before the next charge. Cancellation does not, by itself, refund the paid period; access continues through that period. If a payment fails, the terms say service may be suspended and, if the amount remains unpaid 15 days after notice, deactivated. Check your account and any notice promptly rather than assuming a failed renewal has cancelled the subscription.

The terms also describe a consumer withdrawal right within 14 days of subscription activation, with a refund of amounts paid beyond the value of access already used; purchases of single issues or other individual content are excluded.
