You can use Coinepay Global Remittance to send money from Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh. The recipient may be able to receive Bangladeshi taka (BDT) through a bank deposit, mobile wallet or cash pickup, depending on the options shown for your transfer. This guide explains what to collect before you start, how to review the transfer and what to do if it needs attention.

What you need before sending

Register for a Coinepay account and complete any identity verification required for the transfer. Use your real identity and provide accurate information about the recipient and the purpose of the payment. Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations; Coinepay may ask for supporting documents, including evidence of the purpose or source of funds.

Ask the recipient for their full legal name exactly as it appears on their bank or wallet account, or on the identity document they would use for cash pickup. You will also need the payout details for the method you select. Confirm these directly with the recipient rather than relying on details from an earlier transfer: an account may have changed, or a wallet may no longer be active.

  • Bank deposit: Get the bank name, branch details and recipient’s account number. If the transfer form requests a SWIFT/BIC, ask the receiving bank for its correct code. If it asks for a local bank or branch routing code, obtain the branch’s nine-digit Bangladesh routing number from the bank or recipient.
  • Mobile wallet: Get the wallet provider, the recipient’s valid wallet account number and the name registered to that wallet. For bKash, the account-opening name should match the beneficiary name you enter.
  • Cash pickup: Get the recipient’s legal name and any other identifying details requested in the transfer form. The recipient should have a valid identity document that matches the transfer details and follow the pickup instructions provided for the selected location.

Be ready to state why you are sending the money. Saudi remittance requirements call for sender and beneficiary information, the transfer purpose and either the beneficiary’s account number or a traceable reference where there is no account. If Coinepay requests more information, supply it accurately before expecting the transfer to proceed.

Choose a Bangladesh payout method

Coinepay supports transfers to Bangladesh from Saudi Arabia and offers bank deposit, mobile wallet and cash pickup as payout types. Check the Coinepay app for the choices available on your particular transfer before asking the recipient to prepare for a specific method. Bangladesh’s local currency is BDT; check the displayed payout currency and amount when you review the transfer.

Bank deposit

Choose bank deposit if the recipient wants the payment credited to a Bangladesh bank account. Enter the account holder’s legal name, bank, branch and account number as requested. Bangladesh does not use a national IBAN format, so do not replace a Bangladesh account number with an IBAN. If you are given an IBAN-like string, ask the recipient and their bank to confirm the actual account details before submitting the payment.

Different bank-payment routes may ask for different codes. A SWIFT/BIC identifies a bank for an international wire; obtain it from the recipient’s bank if the form asks for it. Bangladesh’s nine-digit routing number identifies a bank branch for domestic electronic transfers. Supply that number when a local bank or branch routing code is requested, but do not treat it as a substitute for a requested SWIFT/BIC. Check each field label carefully instead of entering one code in every code field.

Mobile wallet

A wallet payout can be useful when the recipient prefers to receive BDT in an eligible Bangladesh mobile money account. bKash is a local remittance receiving option: the beneficiary needs a valid bKash account number, and the name entered for the transfer should match the name used to open that account. Select bKash only if it appears among the options for your Coinepay transfer. For any other wallet displayed in the app, confirm its account identifier and registered name with the recipient before you pay. The recipient should check their wallet’s own access, account status and any applicable receiving requirements.

Cash pickup

Choose cash pickup if the available transfer options include a suitable collection location for the recipient. They will generally need the transfer or pickup reference, their valid identity document and any other information specified in the pickup instructions. Their document name must match the beneficiary name on the transfer. Share the reference privately with the intended recipient, and ask them to check the listed location’s instructions before travelling. Do not assume that every pickup location or payout option is available for every transfer.

How to send the transfer with Coinepay

  1. Sign in and start a remittance. Open the Coinepay mobile app or 24/7 self-service dashboard. If you are new to Coinepay, register and complete the verification steps shown before starting.
  2. Set the destination and currency. Choose Bangladesh as the destination from Saudi Arabia. Enter the amount and check the available payout currency; BDT is Bangladesh’s local currency. Select the payout method offered for this transfer that suits your recipient.
  3. Enter the recipient and purpose details. Copy the recipient’s legal name and bank, wallet or pickup information into the relevant fields. Provide the transfer purpose and any other requested information truthfully. For a bank payout, check the account number and any requested SWIFT/BIC or branch routing code separately.
  4. Review before confirming. Check the recipient name, payout method, account or wallet details, amount and currency. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm; review them along with the amount the recipient is expected to receive. If a detail is wrong, correct it before confirming.
  5. Confirm and track the transfer. Follow the app or dashboard prompts to submit the payment. Keep the transfer reference and use Coinepay’s status tracking to follow its progress. Give the recipient pickup instructions or other details they need, but do not share your account credentials.

Availability and requirements can vary by transfer. If the app does not show the method you expected, use an available method the recipient can receive or contact Coinepay support before confirming. Do not enter a different type of account merely to get past a required field.

What the recipient should expect

The recipient should confirm that their bank account or wallet is active and that its registered name matches the transfer. For cash pickup, they should bring the required identification and follow the instructions for the selected agent. A bank or wallet provider may request information about an incoming payment, particularly when it needs to establish the payment’s purpose or confirm beneficiary details.

Bangladesh banks collect and retain remittance-purpose and supporting information through secure channels. Requirements can depend on the type of receipt, including whether it is a personal remittance or a business-related payment. If the recipient is receiving a business or service-export payment, they should ask their bank what documentation applies to that receipt rather than assume personal-remittance requirements are sufficient.

Troubleshooting a delayed or returned transfer

  • Wrong recipient details: If you notice an incorrect name, account number, wallet number or bank code after confirmation, check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the reference. Do not assume a submitted payment can be edited. Incorrect bank details may lead the receiving bank to reject and return it.
  • Compliance review: Respond through the requested channel if Coinepay asks for identity, transfer-purpose or source-of-funds documents. A receiving institution may also check a new or inactive beneficiary, inconsistent purpose details or a payment requiring additional approval. Transfers remain subject to sanctions screening and local rules.
  • Unexpected delay: Review status tracking first. Check whether the recipient’s bank or wallet has asked them for information and whether the payout method’s instructions have been followed. Banking hours, missing details and recipient-side checks can affect when a payment is credited.
  • Returned transfer: Check the status and any explanation shown, then contact support with the reference. Confirm the recipient’s details with their bank or wallet provider before starting another transfer. If information about the sender is requested, provide it through the proper process rather than sending a replacement payment to bypass the review.

Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions. If you are unsure whether a transfer or recipient can be supported, ask Coinepay support before sending.

FAQ

Do I need a Bangladesh IBAN to send to a bank account?

No. Bangladesh has no national IBAN format. Ask for the recipient’s bank account number, bank and branch details, plus a SWIFT/BIC or nine-digit branch routing number if the transfer form requests one.

Can my recipient receive money in a bKash account?

Select bKash if it appears as an available payout option for your transfer. Enter the valid bKash account number and the beneficiary name matching the account-opening name.

When will I see the exchange rate and fees?

Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm the transfer. Review the displayed payout amount and recipient details at the same time.

What should I do if I entered the wrong bank account number?

Check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference. Do not assume submitted details can be changed; incorrect details can cause a payment to be returned.
