Zoho Projects is a work management and collaboration tool, and its paid editions bill either monthly or yearly from your account's billing section. This guide explains how to set up a Coinepay virtual card, choose the right plan, complete checkout, and fix the most common reasons a card is declined. Prices and payment options change by region, so always confirm the final amount on Zoho's own pricing page before you confirm.
What you need before you start
To pay for a subscription smoothly, line up the following first:
- A registered Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. If you have not signed up yet, create your account and finish verification before you try to pay. Card services require KYC.
- A Coinepay virtual card created in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app, with its card number, expiry date and CVV visible.
- Enough balance on the card to cover the full charge plus any local taxes Zoho adds at checkout.
- Your real billing details — the name, address and country you want on the invoice. Use your genuine information; do not enter fabricated details to work around any check.
- A Zoho account. Sign-up is free, needs no card, and starts you on the Free plan.
Zoho blocks new sign-ups from several sanctioned locations, including Russia, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria, and restricts mobile numbers with those country codes. Coinepay likewise does not serve residents of comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. If you are outside those regions, you can proceed.
Zoho Projects plans at a glance
The standalone editions are Free, Premium, Enterprise and Ultimate. (Zoho Projects Plus is a separate bundle, not a fifth tier.) At the time of writing (October 2026), the US-dollar prices shown on Zoho's pricing page were:
| Plan | Price (billed annually, per user/month) |
|---|---|
| Free | US$0 for up to five users |
| Premium | US$4 |
| Enterprise | US$9 |
| Ultimate | US$14 (US$15 billed monthly) |
Local taxes are added on top, and prices in GBP, EUR, INR, CAD, AUD and other currencies vary by region. Ultimate was introduced in December 2025, and from September 1, 2026 additional automation credits used by Ultimate customers can be charged separately — so check your account's credit settings rather than assuming the seat price is the whole bill. Because these figures change, confirm the current amount on Zoho's official pricing page before you buy.
Step-by-step: subscribing and paying
- Create your virtual card in Coinepay. Open the dashboard or the app (iOS or Google Play), generate a card, and top it up so the balance covers the plan cost plus tax.
- Sign in to Zoho Projects. If you are new, register for free first. You can start a 15-day trial of a paid edition without entering a card.
- Open Subscription Details. Click your profile picture, then select Subscription Details, then Upgrade.
- Choose your plan and billing cycle. Pick Premium, Enterprise or Ultimate, select monthly or yearly billing, set the number of users, and add any optional add-ons.
- Enter billing and payment details. Type your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV, and fill in the billing address exactly as it appears on your Coinepay profile. A mismatch here is a common decline cause.
- Review and confirm. Check the plan, user count, currency and total — including taxes — then confirm the order. Zoho's help documentation notes that card charges recur automatically for supported methods, so set a reminder before renewal if you do not want to continue.
- Save your invoice. After payment, go to profile picture → Subscription Details → Payment History to download the invoice.
Which cards and methods Zoho accepts
Zoho's Projects pricing FAQ names Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and also accepts PayPal or wire transfer for yearly subscriptions. Not every method appears in every regional checkout. Some country and method combinations — Zoho names India's non-recurring debit card, netbanking, UPI and wallet options, plus Indonesia, and specified methods in the Netherlands, Brazil, China, Nigeria and South Africa — require manual renewal, meaning you re-enter card details or complete extra authentication at each renewal. Coinepay does not publish the network or issuing bank of your specific card, and whether any particular merchant accepts it cannot be guaranteed in advance. If a card requirement is unclear, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before you buy.
Troubleshooting a declined card
If checkout fails, work through these causes in order. Exact Projects checkout error wording varies, but payment processors generally decline for one of the following reasons.
Insufficient balance
Virtual cards only authorise what they hold. Confirm the Coinepay card balance covers the plan total plus local tax, and remember annual billing charges the full year at once. Top up and retry.
Billing address mismatch
If the address on your Zoho order does not match the one on your Coinepay card profile, the issuer may reject it. Re-open Subscription Details, hover over the card under Payment Method, choose Change Credit Card, and correct the billing address so it matches your Coinepay records exactly.
3-D Secure / authentication failure
Some transactions trigger an extra verification step. Make sure you can receive the confirmation prompt from Coinepay (keep the app to hand and notifications enabled) and complete it promptly. If authentication times out, start the payment again.
Incorrect or expired card details
Re-check the number, expiry and CVV. If you regenerated or replaced the card, update the saved details in Subscription Details → Payment Method → Change Credit Card.
Merchant region or fraud checks
Repeated attempts can trigger fraud screening and temporary blocks. Wait a short while before retrying rather than submitting the same payment many times. If the decline persists, open your Coinepay app to confirm the card is active and not restricted, then reach out to Coinepay support or ask on Telegram. If Coinepay confirms the card is fine, contact Zoho billing support to check the issue on their side.
Managing, cancelling and refunds
To change the saved card later, use Subscription Details → Payment Method → Change Credit Card. To downgrade, go to profile picture → Subscription Details → Change Plan → Upgrade/Downgrade Plan → Proceed to Downgrade and move to Free; a checkbox lets you downgrade at the end of the current billing cycle. Note a documentation conflict on Zoho's own pages about whether Free includes two or three projects after a downgrade, so confirm the limit in your account.
Zoho's general refund policy offers a full refund — after you contact Zoho about dissatisfaction — within the first month of a monthly plan or the first 45 days of an annual plan, with the account moved to Free. For an unintended renewal, Zoho states full-refund request windows of five business days after a monthly renewal and 15 days after an annual one, and says it does not process renewal refunds after those windows. A partial annual downgrade generally produces subscription-extension credit rather than cash. Any refund is returned to the original card; you can view it in your Coinepay app once Zoho processes it.
Quick recap
- Finish Coinepay KYC, create a virtual card and fund it for the full charge plus tax.
- Upgrade via profile picture → Subscription Details → Upgrade, using real billing details.
- Match the billing address to your Coinepay profile to avoid declines.
- Confirm current prices and accepted methods on Zoho's official pricing page before you pay.

FAQ
Do I need to verify my identity with Coinepay before paying for Zoho Projects?
Yes. Coinepay card services require you to register and complete identity verification (KYC) first. Once that is done and your virtual card is funded, you can use it at Zoho's checkout.
Which Zoho Projects plan should I pick?
The standalone editions are Free, Premium, Enterprise and Ultimate. At the time of writing (October 2026) the annual US prices were US$0, US$4, US$9 and US$14 per user per month, plus tax. Prices vary by region, so confirm the current figures on Zoho's official pricing page.
My Coinepay card was declined at Zoho checkout. What should I check?
Check that the card has enough balance for the total plus tax, that the billing address matches your Coinepay profile, that the number, expiry and CVV are correct, and that you completed any 3-D Secure prompt. If it still fails, confirm the card is active in your Coinepay app and contact Coinepay support.
Will Zoho Projects charge my card automatically each cycle?
Zoho's documentation says card charges recur automatically for supported methods. Some country and method combinations require manual renewal with re-entered details. Set a reminder before renewal and keep your card funded, or downgrade before the cycle ends if you do not want to continue.
Can I get a refund to my Coinepay card?
Zoho's refund policy allows a full refund within the first month of a monthly plan or first 45 days of an annual plan after you contact Zoho, and shorter windows for unintended renewals. Approved refunds return to the original card and appear in your Coinepay app once processed.
