VALORANT Points (VP) are the in-game currency you use to buy skins, bundles, Premium Battle Passes and other content in Riot Games' VALORANT. VP are sold as one-time packs rather than a subscription, so there is nothing recurring to cancel once you buy. This guide walks through paying for a VP pack with a Coinepay virtual card, from setting up the card to completing the Riot checkout, and lists the most common reasons a card is declined so you can fix them quickly.
Before you start, remember that Riot shows the payment methods available for your Riot Account's region of residence, and the Coinepay card is issued through licensed partner institutions. Riot does not publish one worldwide list of accepted card brands, and whether any specific merchant accepts a given card can only be confirmed at that merchant's checkout. If you are unsure, contact Coinepay support before you buy.
What you need before you buy
- A Riot Account you can sign in to, with the correct region of residence set. You manage account details, password and connected accounts at account.riotgames.com.
- A Coinepay virtual card with its card number, expiry date and CVV, and enough available balance to cover the pack price plus any tax added at checkout.
- Your real billing details — the name, address and country registered to the card. Riot's payment checks compare these against your card, so use your genuine information.
- The VALORANT PC client installed, or a linked PlayStation/Xbox account if you buy through a console marketplace.
Set up your Coinepay virtual card
If you do not yet have a card, create one first:
- Register for a Coinepay account and complete identity verification (KYC). Verification is required before you can use card services.
- Open the Coinepay dashboard or the mobile app (iOS or Google Play) and issue a virtual card. You'll see the card number, expiry and CVV instantly.
- Add funds so the available balance comfortably covers the VP pack you want, plus a small buffer for digital-sales tax that may be added at checkout.
- Note the exact billing name, address and country shown in the app — you'll enter these at Riot's checkout.
Services related to virtual assets are not available to residents of mainland China, and some services are not available in every jurisdiction. Check the app for what applies to you.
VP packs and prices
VP are sold in fixed packs. On the PlayStation Store the pack names are 475 VALORANT Points; 1000 VALORANT Points (50 Bonus + 950); 2050 VALORANT Points (150 Bonus + 1900); 3650 VALORANT Points (325 Bonus + 3325); 5350 VALORANT Points (600 Bonus + 4750); and 11000 VALORANT Points (1500 Bonus + 9500).
Prices vary by region and storefront. At the time of writing (October 2026), prices seen on the PlayStation Store in ascending pack order were:
| Region | Prices (smallest to largest pack) |
|---|---|
| United States | $4.99, $9.99, $19.99, $34.99, $49.99, $99.99 |
| United Kingdom | £3.99, £7.99, £15.99, £28.99, £39.99, £79.99 |
| Germany | €4.99, €9.99, €19.99, €34.99, €49.99, €99.99 |
| Canada | C$6.99, C$13.49, C$26.99, C$46.99, C$66.99, C$133.49 |
| Australia | A$7.55, A$14.95, A$29.95, A$52.95, A$75.95, A$150.95 |
These are PlayStation storefront prices on the date above; PC-client prices may differ and are not confirmed here. Always check the current price in your own VALORANT client or console store before you pay. Note that in the US and Canada the final charge can be higher than the displayed store price because applicable digital-sales tax is calculated at checkout from your payment method's location.
Step-by-step: buy VP on PC
- Open the VALORANT client and sign in to your Riot Account.
- Go to the in-client store and open the VP purchase interface.
- Choose a VP amount, then choose an available regional payment method. Riot's in-client store displays only the methods available to your account's region.
- When you select the card option, enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date, CVV and your real billing details exactly as they appear in the Coinepay app.
- Complete that method's checkout. If prompted, approve the 3-D Secure verification step — watch the Coinepay app for a confirmation prompt or one-time code.
- Wait for the on-screen confirmation. Your VP balance is shared between PC and console, so the points appear on your account.
To review what you bought, sign in to Riot's VALORANT Checking Your Purchase History support page. A dedicated self-service VALORANT page for managing stored cards is not something we can confirm here, so do not rely on one existing.
Buying on PlayStation or Xbox
On console, a Riot Account must be linked to your PlayStation or Xbox account, and purchases go through that console's marketplace rather than Riot directly. You would add the Coinepay card as a payment method in the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store and buy the VP pack there. Console play is limited to certain regions (NA, EU, JP, BR, Australia and New Zealand) on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S — that is a console limit, not a limit on PC VP purchases.
Troubleshooting a declined card
Players have reported the checkout message "Transaction has been declined". That message alone does not say why, so work through the common causes below. (Riot's League of Legends billing pages document messages such as "Your card information is invalid," "Your payment attempt has been declined by your card provider," and "You have exceeded the maximum number of attempts at this time" — whether those exact messages appear in VALORANT is not confirmed, but the checks they point to are worth reviewing.)
Insufficient balance
Make sure your Coinepay card has enough to cover the pack price plus any tax added at checkout. Top up in the Coinepay app and try again.
Billing address mismatch
Enter the billing name, address and country exactly as registered to the card in the Coinepay app. A mismatch is a frequent decline cause. Never use a fake or borrowed address to pass a check.
3-D Secure not completed
If an extra verification step appears, approve it in the Coinepay app. If you miss the prompt, the payment can fail — restart the checkout and keep the app open to respond.
Region and currency mismatch
Payment options depend on your Riot Account's region of residence. The wrong region can show the wrong currency or hide card options. Riot offers an eligibility check for changing your region of residence; use your real country.
Card brand or method not offered
Riot's accepted methods vary by market and are only shown at your own checkout, and Riot does not publish one global card-brand list. If the card is not accepted in your region's store, do not try to work around the restriction — contact Coinepay support to confirm your card details and discuss options.
Too many attempts
Repeated failed tries can trigger a temporary attempt limit. Wait a while, fix the underlying issue, then retry rather than hammering the checkout.
Refunds and chargebacks
Unused VP bought within 14 days can be requested as a cash refund by submitting a Riot support ticket; spent VP is generally not eligible under Riot's standard VALORANT policy, and used or upgraded skins, bundles, Agents, Premium Battle Passes and Radianite Points are not refundable. Eligible real-money refunds return to the original payment method. PlayStation and Xbox purchases are directed to the respective marketplace's refund process. Avoid filing a chargeback as a shortcut: since June 4, 2024, Riot says a VALORANT chargeback can remove VP or VP-purchased content and can leave a balance that blocks further VP purchases. If a Coinepay payment itself looks wrong, contact Coinepay support first.
Managing your Coinepay card
Everything on the Coinepay side is handled from the 24/7 self-service dashboard or the mobile app: check your balance, view transactions, top up or freeze the card. For help, reach the team through support or Telegram, or learn more at the Coinepay home page.

FAQ
Is Valorant Points a subscription I need to cancel?
No. VALORANT Points are an in-game currency sold as one-time packs, so there is nothing recurring to cancel. You simply buy a pack when you want more VP.
Why was my Coinepay card declined at the Valorant checkout?
Common causes include insufficient balance, a billing address that doesn't match your card, an incomplete 3-D Secure step, a region or currency mismatch on your Riot Account, or the card brand not being offered in your region's store. Fix the underlying issue, then retry. If it keeps failing, contact Coinepay support.
How much does a VP pack cost?
Prices vary by region and storefront. At the time of writing (October 2026), PlayStation Store US prices ran from $4.99 to $99.99 across the six packs. Always check the current price in your own VALORANT client or console store, and note that US and Canadian totals can include tax added at checkout.
Can I get a refund on VP I paid for with my Coinepay card?
Unused VP bought within 14 days can be requested as a cash refund via a Riot support ticket; spent VP is generally not eligible. Eligible refunds return to the original payment method. Console purchases are handled through the PlayStation or Xbox marketplace refund process. Avoid filing a chargeback, which Riot says can remove content and block future VP purchases.
Do I need to verify my identity before using a Coinepay card for VP?
Yes. You must register and complete identity (KYC) verification before using Coinepay card services. After that, you can issue a virtual card, add funds and use it at checkout. Some services are not available in every jurisdiction, so check the app for what applies to you.
