You can try paying for a Udacity subscription with a Coinepay virtual card at Udacity’s checkout. Before you start, decide whether you want recurring All Access or a one-time Single Nanodegree Program purchase, and check the price and payment options shown for your location. This guide walks through enrollment, checkout, common payment problems and renewal settings.
Choose the right Udacity purchase
Udacity calls its individual subscription All Access. Its purchase options are Monthly subscription and 4-Month subscription. The monthly option renews automatically. The four-month option is paid upfront and, unless you cancel, converts afterward to the non-discounted monthly rate shown at your initial checkout. Note that conversion date and rate before confirming payment.
A Single Nanodegree Program is a separate one-time purchase for one program, with access for up to one year. It is not an All Access subscription. Check the program page to see which purchase choices it offers. Udacity’s broader plan comparison also names Individual, Team and Enterprise; Team is intended for 2+ users. If you are buying for an organization, review the billing options displayed for that plan rather than assuming the individual checkout applies.
At the time of writing (October 2026), one US course listing displayed $249/month for the monthly subscription and $212/month as the displayed four-month bundle rate. Those figures are not a quote for your checkout, and the displayed monthly bundle rate should not be treated as its upfront total. Udacity says charges can vary by location, payment method and where a card was issued; taxes or foreign-exchange costs may also apply. Check Udacity’s official plans page and the final checkout amount before paying.
What you need before checkout
- A Coinepay account and completed identity verification. Register through Coinepay if you have not already done so. KYC is required before using card services.
- Your virtual card details. Coinepay provides a card number, expiry date and CVV. Find the card in your 24/7 self-service dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app. Check there that you have sufficient available funds for the amount Udacity shows at checkout, including any applicable taxes.
- A Udacity account and your real billing information. Use your own identity and enter billing details accurately. Have access to the email and any verification method associated with your accounts in case a payment check appears.
- A purchase choice. Decide whether you need a Monthly subscription, a 4-Month subscription or a Single Nanodegree Program. Review the renewal terms if you choose a subscription.
Udacity’s plan comparison lists PayPal or credit-card billing, while the choices actually offered can depend on the subscription and location. A displayed card-payment option is not a promise that any particular card will be accepted. If the checkout or its terms specify a card-type or card-issuance requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before you buy.
How to sign up and pay for Udacity
- Open Udacity’s official site and find the program you want to study. Review its description and select Enroll Now on the program page.
- Choose the purchase option shown. For an All Access subscription, select month-to-month or four months. If the program offers a separate one-time Single Nanodegree Program purchase, distinguish it from the subscription before proceeding.
- Create or access your Udacity account. Select Sign Up if you are new, or Sign In if you already have an account. Follow the prompts, then select Continue to Checkout.
- Inspect the checkout summary. Confirm the selected purchase, amount, billing schedule, currency and any taxes. For the four-month option, check both the upfront charge and the later monthly rate. If a price or payment method differs from what you expected, stop and resolve it before placing the order.
- Enter your Coinepay virtual card details in the card-payment fields if that option is offered. Copy the number, expiry date and CVV carefully from your Coinepay account. Enter your genuine billing details and complete any payment authentication requested by the checkout.
- Review and confirm. Submit payment only once you understand the charge and, for subscriptions, when renewal will occur. Wait for Udacity’s confirmation, then check your Udacity account for access and your Coinepay dashboard or app for the card transaction.
If Udacity does not offer a usable card-payment option for your purchase, do not try to bypass its checkout requirements. Review the options Udacity presents or ask its support team about the payment method available to your account.
What to do if the card is declined
A failed checkout does not, by itself, identify the cause. Read the message on Udacity’s page and check whether Coinepay shows a transaction or a declined attempt before retrying. Avoid repeatedly submitting payment while an earlier attempt’s status is unclear.
Insufficient available balance
Compare your available funds in Coinepay with Udacity’s final checkout amount, not just an advertised monthly figure. A four-month purchase is paid upfront, and the final charge may include applicable taxes or other costs shown at checkout. If you need to add funds, use the methods available in your Coinepay account; check the updated balance before trying again. Ask Coinepay support if the transaction shown in your account needs explanation.
Billing address or ZIP-code mismatch
Recheck your name, billing address and postal code for typing errors. Use real details; do not enter an invented address to make a payment go through. For the specific Udacity error “The zip code you supplied failed validation”, Udacity’s guidance suggests retrying with the ZIP-code field blank if the card is valid and funded. Do so only if the field is optional and you can leave it blank without supplying false information. If the error persists, contact Udacity support with the exact message.
3-D Secure or another authentication check
If checkout asks you to authenticate the payment, follow the instructions presented and complete the check promptly. An unfinished or failed authentication can prevent a purchase even when you entered the card number correctly. If you never receive an expected prompt, return to the checkout status and check the Coinepay app or dashboard rather than assuming the charge succeeded. Coinepay support can help you investigate the card-side result; Udacity support can help with its checkout.
Region, currency or merchant checks
Udacity’s available payment options and prices can vary by location and card-issuance location. If your account’s payment currency appears incorrect, Udacity directs users to submit a Billing Related Questions → Currency Change request. If a card-type or regional requirement appears at checkout, ask Coinepay support whether your card meets that requirement; neither service should be assumed to override the merchant’s checks.
Udacity says purchases are prohibited from Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria; its terms also name the sanctioned DNR and LNR regions of Ukraine. Other paid-service restrictions may appear at checkout. Use only your actual location and billing details, and do not attempt to work around a restriction. Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions; availability of some services also varies by jurisdiction.
Manage renewal, cancellation and refunds
After purchase, go to Udacity account Settings → Subscription & Billing to review or manage billing. In the Classroom, the name-icon menu also links to Subscription, where you can check payment dates. Keep track of the next billing date yourself, particularly if you selected the four-month option and do not want it to convert to monthly billing.
To stop renewal, use Settings → Subscription & Billing → Cancel and complete the confirmation. Udacity says to cancel the day before the next billing date to avoid the next charge. Outside the refund window, access generally continues through the period already paid for, with no further renewal; cancelling a four-month bundle does not produce a prorated refund.
Udacity’s stated initial full-refund window is seven days for subscriptions and Single Nanodegree purchases, or 14 days for EU residents, subject to its terms and exceptions. Later unused subscription time is not refunded under those terms. If you are considering a refund, review Udacity’s current terms and contact Udacity promptly rather than treating cancellation alone as a refund request. For a question about the card transaction itself, contact Coinepay support.
