To subscribe to Sling TV with a Coinepay virtual card, first check that Sling serves your location, then choose a plan and enter your card details at checkout. This guide covers the sign-up steps, recurring billing and what to check if a payment does not go through. Card acceptance depends on Sling’s checkout and payment checks.

Before you start

Sling says its streaming service is available in the 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico. It does not support streaming outside those areas, and local channels vary by market. Check your location and the channel lineup before paying; a payment method does not change Sling’s geographic rules.

  • Set up Coinepay. Register for Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Your virtual card’s number, expiry date and CVV are available when the card is issued. Check your available funds and card details in the Coinepay app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
  • Use accurate details. Have your real name and billing address ready. Enter the address associated with your payment details rather than an invented U.S. address.
  • Check the total. Sling charges your selected payment method immediately when you complete a paid subscription. Review the checkout amount, any add-ons and the recurring rate, and make sure your card has sufficient available funds.

Sling’s billing information lists credit and debit cards and also offers Express Pay options such as PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Amazon Pay. That list does not establish whether any particular virtual card will be accepted. If you need to confirm whether your Coinepay card is suitable for Sling’s checkout, contact Coinepay support before subscribing.

Choose a Sling TV plan

Sling’s paid lineups are Sling Essentials, Sling Select, Sling Essentials & Select, Sling Orange, Sling Blue, and Sling Orange & Blue. Sling Freestream is its free option; you do not need to buy a paid plan to choose Freestream. Compare the channels in each lineup on Sling’s official plan comparison page, particularly if local channels matter to you.

At the time of writing (October 2026), Sling’s advertised U.S. monthly starting prices on its comparison page were $19.99 for Essentials, from $19.99 for Select, from $34.99 for Essentials & Select, from $45.99 each for Orange and Blue, and from $60.99 for Orange & Blue. These are starting prices, not a quote for your location: Sling has displayed higher prices elsewhere on its site. Check Sling’s official pricing page and the amount shown at your own checkout before confirming.

Sling’s comparison page also advertises three-month prepay offers. If you choose one, read the offer terms and the subsequent monthly rate: the subscription continues at the regular monthly rate unless you cancel. Do not assume that paying for several months upfront ends the subscription automatically.

Subscribe and pay with your virtual card

  1. Go to Sling’s official site. Open Sling TV’s plan comparison page and select the lineup you want. Confirm that the displayed channels, price and service area fit your needs.
  2. Create your Sling account. Follow the sign-up prompts and use your real account information. The exact order of account, lineup and payment screens may change, so follow the labels shown at checkout.
  3. Review your selections. Check the plan, any optional extras, the amount due now and the renewal terms. Remove anything you did not intend to purchase before proceeding.
  4. Enter your Coinepay card details. Choose the direct card-payment option if it is offered, then enter the virtual card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as shown in Coinepay. Supply your accurate billing details in Sling’s requested fields. Express Pay is a separate checkout route and may be managed through its wallet or provider.
  5. Complete any payment verification. If a security prompt appears, follow the instructions presented by the payment flow. Do not repeatedly submit payment while a verification step is still pending.
  6. Confirm and check your account. Submit the order only after reviewing the final amount. Sling says paid access and the charge begin immediately. Check your Sling account and billing history to confirm the subscription rather than assuming an incomplete checkout succeeded.

Sling’s monthly plans are prepaid and renew on the same calendar day each month until cancelled. Keep enough funds available for the next charge and check the displayed renewal amount if you signed up through a promotional or prepay offer.

If Sling declines the card or checkout fails

A failed checkout does not, by itself, reveal who rejected the payment. Use any message on Sling’s screen and the transaction information available in Coinepay to narrow down the cause. Avoid repeated attempts until you have checked the details below.

Insufficient available funds

Compare your available card funds with Sling’s full checkout total, including selected extras or a prepay offer. The advertised starting price may differ from the amount for your market. If the funds are short, use the funding options shown in Coinepay and verify the available amount before trying again. For a renewal, also check whether the amount has changed since your first payment.

Billing details do not match

Re-enter the card number, expiry date, CVV, name and billing address carefully. Use genuine billing details; do not substitute an address in another region to get past a check. If your card or address details have changed since an earlier Sling payment, update them before the next renewal.

A security or 3-D Secure step cannot be completed

If checkout presents a 3-D Secure or other authentication challenge, complete the prompt using the instructions provided. If it times out, is unavailable or fails, check your Coinepay app and dashboard for relevant payment information, then contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt. If Sling shows a specific error, share its wording with Sling support as well. Do not assume that every failed payment was caused by authentication.

Merchant region or eligibility checks

Sling limits streaming to the 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico. If Sling rejects your location or payment details, check its service rules and use your actual location and billing information. Do not use a VPN, a borrowed identity or a false address to bypass restrictions. If Sling identifies a specific card-type or issuance-country requirement during checkout, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before trying to buy; do not assume acceptance.

A checkout error rather than a card decline

Not every failed submission is a card problem. Check whether Sling created a subscription or recorded a charge before starting over. If its page displays an error without confirming the order, contact Sling support with the error text and approximate time. For a payment entry visible in Coinepay but not reflected in your Sling account, contact the appropriate support teams and provide the transaction details they request.

Manage your card, charges and cancellation

For a subscription paid directly by card, sign in at sling.com/my-account and choose Update billing information to change the card or billing address. Use View billing history to inspect charges. If you paid through Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay or PayPal instead, Sling directs you to manage payment details with that wallet or provider.

To stop a recurring monthly subscription, sign in and select Manage → Cancel. Sling says access continues until the next scheduled billing date, future recurring charges stop and it sends a confirmation email. Check that the cancellation is confirmed: simply removing a card is not the same as cancelling. Sling says it does not refund prepaid or partial months when you cancel, except in special circumstances; removing an add-on also does not produce a refund.

If you need help with card details or a Coinepay payment attempt, use Coinepay support. For plan availability, account status, Sling checkout errors or cancellation questions, use Sling’s own support channels.

FAQ

Can I use a Coinepay virtual card to subscribe to Sling TV?

You can enter its number, expiry date and CVV at Sling’s direct card checkout, but acceptance depends on Sling’s payment checks. Contact Coinepay support if you need to confirm card eligibility before buying.

When will Sling TV charge my card?

Sling says it charges your selected payment method when you complete a paid subscription. Monthly plans are prepaid and renew on the same calendar day each month until cancelled.

Where do I update my card for Sling TV?

For direct card billing, sign in at sling.com/my-account and select Update billing information. If you used an Express Pay wallet, manage payment details with that wallet or provider.

Will cancelling Sling TV refund the rest of the month?

Generally no. Sling says access lasts until the next scheduled billing date and it does not refund prepaid or partial months on cancellation except in special circumstances.
