Binge is the Australian streaming service at binge.com.au, home to drama, movies, reality and live content. This guide explains how to set up a Coinepay virtual card, how the Binge sign-up and checkout works, and what to do if your card is declined. Binge has specific card requirements, so read the eligibility section before you buy.

What you need before you start

To subscribe to Binge and pay by card, have the following ready:

 • A Binge account (you create one during sign-up) and an email address.
 • A payment card with its number, expiry date and CVV.
 • Your real billing details that match your card.
 • To be in Australia with any VPN disabled — Binge says viewing requires being in Australia, and the current Hubbl terms exclude areas classified as "Very Remote."

If you don't have a card yet, you can create a Coinepay virtual card from the dashboard. After you register and complete identity verification (KYC), Coinepay issues a virtual card with an instant card number, expiry date and CVV you can use for online subscriptions. You manage everything from the web dashboard or the mobile app for iOS and Android.

Important: Binge card eligibility

Binge lists Visa, Mastercard and American Express among the major credit cards it accepts for direct billing, alongside Optus SubHub. However, the current Hubbl streaming and account customer terms require subscribers to be at least 18 and to use a valid Australian credit card with an Australian billing address, or an authorised third-party biller. Binge says the accepted methods are displayed at the point of purchase.

Binge does not publicly confirm whether every debit-card variant or prepaid card is accepted. Because of this, do not assume any particular card will be accepted for Binge billing. Use your own real identity and billing details, and never enter an address that isn't yours. If you want to check whether your Coinepay card can meet Binge's Australian-card and billing-address requirement, contact Coinepay support before you subscribe.

Binge plans and prices

Binge offers three tiers, each available on a monthly or annual subscription:

PlanStreams / qualityPrice (AU, at time of writing, October 2026)
Basic (with ads)One stream, HDA$10/month or A$79/12 months
StandardTwo streams, selected 4KA$19/month or A$149/12 months
PremiumFour streams, selected 4KA$22/month or A$179/12 months

Prices can change, so confirm the current amounts on the official Binge plans and pricing page before you subscribe. Eligible new customers may receive a seven-day trial on monthly plans (not annual plans); the trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel.

How to subscribe on the Binge website

 1. Go to binge.com.au and choose to sign up or start your subscription.
 2. If you have an eligible voucher code, enter it before selecting a tier.
 3. Select your tier (Basic, Standard or Premium) and, if you want annual billing, choose Annual.
 4. Enter your personal details to create your account.
 5. At the payment step, enter your card number, expiry date, CVV and your billing details exactly as they appear on your account, then follow the prompts to confirm.
 6. Complete any bank verification step (such as 3-D Secure) if your card issuer requests it.

Once payment is confirmed, you can start streaming on your supported devices while you're in Australia.

Other sign-up routes

Binge also documents sign-up through the Apple App Store or Apple TV, where Apple processes the subscription, and through Optus SubHub, which has its own sign-up and billing. If you sign up this way, your billing is handled by that partner, not by Binge's direct card settings.

Managing your payment method

For a subscription billed directly by Binge, update your card at My Account → Subscription → Manage Payment Method → Credit Cards → Update payment method. You can review charges under Subscription → View Payment History.

If your subscription is billed by Apple, Telstra or Optus, you update your billing through that provider's account rather than Binge's direct card settings.

Troubleshooting: card declined on Binge

Binge identifies insufficient funds, an expired card, incorrect card details and a bank-blocked transaction as billing-error reasons. When a payment fails, Binge says it emails the customer, retries the payment and may eventually cancel the subscription. Binge also publishes these payment-related error descriptions:

 • 52-019-200 — card cannot be used for payment.
 • 52-023-200 — an overseas-use issue.
 • 52-017-200 — possibly incorrect card details.
 • 10-002-007 — a payment-processing problem.

Here is how to work through the common causes:

Insufficient balance

Make sure your card has enough available balance to cover the full plan price plus any amount your issuer may authorise. You can top up and check your available balance in the Coinepay app, then retry the payment.

Incorrect card details or expiry

A 52-017-200 error or a generic decline often means the card number, expiry, CVV or name was mistyped. Re-enter the details carefully, copying them from the Coinepay dashboard, and confirm the card hasn't expired.

Billing address mismatch

Binge requires an Australian billing address. Enter the billing details associated with your account and your real address. A mismatch between what you type and what your card issuer has on file is a common cause of declines.

3-D Secure / bank verification

If your issuer asks for extra authentication, complete it. Check the Coinepay app for any confirmation prompt or notification so the verification can finish and the charge can go through.

Card cannot be used / overseas-use checks

Errors like 52-019-200 and 52-023-200 relate to whether the card can be used and to overseas-use checks — consistent with Binge's requirement for an Australian card and Australian billing address. If you see these, don't try to work around the check. Instead, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets Binge's requirements, and consider an authorised third-party billing route such as Optus SubHub if it suits you.

Cancelling and refunds

To cancel a directly billed subscription, go to My Account → Subscription, then select Cancel Subscription → Continue → Complete. Access continues to the end of your paid billing period. Annual plans renew yearly unless cancelled; cancelling keeps access for the rest of the 12-month term, and an ordinary mid-period cancellation does not receive a pro-rata refund. Hubbl's terms preserve your Australian Consumer Law remedies in the stated service-failure circumstances.

If your subscription is billed by Apple, you cancel through Apple at least 24 hours before renewal and direct refund enquiries to Apple. Optus SubHub customers cancel and direct billing or refund enquiries to Optus.

Getting help

For Binge account, plan or streaming questions, use Binge's own help centre. For anything about your Coinepay virtual card — balance, verification, or confirming whether your card can meet a merchant's requirements — reach the team through the Coinepay support page or Telegram. The dashboard and app are available 24/7.

FAQ

Can I pay for Binge with a Coinepay virtual card?

Binge's current terms require a valid Australian credit card with an Australian billing address, or an authorised third-party biller, and it doesn't publicly confirm every card type. Don't assume any card is accepted — contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Binge's requirement before you subscribe, and always use your real billing details.

Which Binge plan should I choose?

Binge offers Basic (with ads, one stream, HD), Standard (two streams, selected 4K) and Premium (four streams, selected 4K), each on a monthly or annual plan. Check the official Binge plans and pricing page for current prices, as they can change.

Why does Binge keep declining my card?

Common causes are insufficient funds, an expired card, incorrect card details, a bank-blocked transaction, or Australian-card and billing-address checks. Binge publishes error codes such as 52-019-200, 52-023-200, 52-017-200 and 10-002-007. Verify your balance and details, complete any bank verification, and contact Coinepay support if the issue continues.

How do I update my Binge payment method?

For a directly billed subscription, go to My Account → Subscription → Manage Payment Method → Credit Cards → Update payment method. If Apple, Telstra or Optus bills you, update your payment details through that provider instead.

Will I get a refund if I cancel Binge early?

An ordinary mid-period cancellation of a monthly or annual plan does not receive a pro-rata refund; access continues to the end of the paid period. Hubbl's terms preserve your Australian Consumer Law remedies in stated service-failure circumstances. Apple- or Optus-billed customers handle refunds through those providers.
