LifeLock (sold through Norton) is an identity-theft protection service, and a membership is billed as a recurring subscription. This guide shows how to choose a plan, pay for it at Norton's checkout with a Coinepay virtual card, and what to do if a payment is declined. It is an independent how-to; Coinepay is not affiliated with LifeLock or Norton.
What you need before you start
Getting your details ready first makes checkout faster and reduces the chance of a decline:
- A verified Coinepay account. If you do not have one yet, register and complete identity verification (KYC) before you can create and use a card.
- A Coinepay virtual card with its card number, expiry date and CVV, which appear instantly in the Coinepay dashboard or the mobile app (iOS / Google Play).
- Enough balance on the card to cover the first charge (the annual or monthly amount shown at checkout).
- Your real name and billing address. Enter the exact details tied to your Coinepay card so they match what the card issuer has on file.
- A Norton account, or be ready to create one during sign-up.
Choose your LifeLock plan
On the LifeLock plan page, Norton currently lists three standalone tiers plus two Norton 360 bundles. The standalone plans are LifeLock Core, LifeLock Advanced and LifeLock Total. The bundles, Norton 360 with LifeLock Select and Norton 360 with LifeLock Ultimate Plus, are separate products. The older standalone Standard, Advantage and Ultimate Plus plans were retired in February 2026 and are no longer available for purchase.
At the time of writing (October 2026), the U.S. storefront showed Core at $124.99/year or $12.49/month, Advanced at $199.99/year or $19.99/month, and Total at $349.99/year or $34.99/month for one adult. Two-adult and family options cost more, and the bundles use first-year promotional pricing that renews higher. Prices and plan availability vary by region, so always confirm the current amount on LifeLock's official plan page before you buy. Standalone Core/Advanced/Total prices outside the U.S. are not published here.
Good to know: a free trial still requires a payment method at sign-up and becomes chargeable when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Subscriptions renew automatically, and annual renewal charges can be applied up to 35 days before your term expires.
Step-by-step: subscribe and pay
- Create your Coinepay virtual card. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard, generate a card, and keep the number, expiry and CVV handy. Top up enough to cover the plan you picked.
- Open the LifeLock plan page. Go to LifeLock's official site and select the membership size (for example, one adult or a family option) and your billing cycle (annual or monthly).
- Select Start membership. This link sends you to Norton's checkout, where the subscription begins once the transaction completes.
- Sign in or create a Norton account. Use your real email; your membership will be linked to this account.
- Enter billing details. Choose your country, then type the Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV. Enter the billing name and address exactly as held for your card.
- Complete any verification. If a 3-D Secure or one-time passcode step appears, approve it in your Coinepay app or via the confirmation method on your account.
- Confirm the order. Review the amount due today and the stated renewal price, then place the order. You should receive a confirmation from Norton.
Managing your payment method later
To change or add a card after purchase, sign in to your Norton account and go to My Account → Billing information. That tab requires the product to be linked to the account you are signed into. If you want a dedicated card just for this subscription, you can keep a Coinepay card topped up for the renewal amount and update the billing details there whenever it changes.
Troubleshooting: card declined or payment won't process
Norton does not publish an exhaustive list of accepted card types or specific decline codes for U.S. LifeLock checkout, so the fixes below are practical checks rather than confirmed bank reasons. If one error appears, work through the list in order.
"We are unable to process your order from the information provided"
A Norton user reported this message while updating a card: "We are unable to process your order from the information provided. Please re-enter your payment information or try another payment method." Re-enter the card number, expiry and CVV carefully, with no spaces, and make sure the billing address matches your card exactly.
"We are not able to process changes to your credit card information"
Norton documents this message and notes that regulatory changes may cause it; its advice is to use the renewal page to complete the change. If it persists, contact Norton support.
Other common causes to rule out
- Insufficient balance. Confirm your Coinepay card holds enough to cover the full first charge, including any applicable tax. Top up in the app and retry.
- Billing address mismatch. The name and address at checkout should match the details registered to your card. Correct any typo in the postcode, street or country.
- 3-D Secure not completed. If an extra confirmation step times out or is missed, the payment can fail. Retry and approve the prompt promptly.
- Invalid card number. Norton's regional help also documents "Invalid Credit Card number for specified card" and advises re-entering the number. Double-check each digit against the card in your Coinepay app.
- Merchant region checks. Norton has you select a country and enter payment details in its billing settings. Choose the country that matches your real residency and billing address; do not use false location details to work around regional availability.
Norton does not confirm whether debit cards, prepaid cards or specific issuers are accepted at U.S. LifeLock checkout, and whether a particular card will be accepted is outside Coinepay's control. If you are unsure your Coinepay card meets a requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy. You can also reach the team via Telegram. For issues that are clearly on Norton's side, such as a billing update that will not save, contact Norton support.
Cancellation and refunds
To stop future renewals, sign in and go to My Account → My Subscriptions, then use Cancel Renewal or Manage Subscriptions and finish the prompts. Turning off renewal keeps your paid term running and is different from requesting a refund. For direct Norton purchases, a full annual-payment refund can generally be requested within 60 days of purchase or of an annual charge; an initial monthly purchase qualifies within 14 days, though later monthly charges usually do not. Some regions, including the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Quebec, have additional prorated-refund rights. Request refunds from Norton; third-party sellers' terms may differ.
A note on eligibility
LifeLock's scam-reimbursement benefit covers U.S. residents, including territories and Washington, D.C., except New York residents. That is a benefit exclusion, not a bar on buying a plan. Exact residency and eligibility rules for every tier outside the U.S. are not confirmed, and Norton notes that coverage and feature names can differ by country. Always use your real identity and billing details, and buy the plan for the region where you actually live.

FAQ
Can I pay for LifeLock with a Coinepay virtual card?
You can enter your Coinepay card number, expiry and CVV at Norton's LifeLock checkout like any other card. Norton does not publish a full list of accepted card types for U.S. LifeLock, and whether a specific card is accepted is not guaranteed, so make sure the billing address matches and your balance covers the charge. If unsure, contact Coinepay support before buying.
Which LifeLock plan should I choose?
The current standalone tiers are LifeLock Core, Advanced and Total, with two Norton 360 bundles also available. Choose based on the coverage you need and your household size. Prices vary by region and change over time, so check the amount due today and the renewal price on LifeLock's official plan page before you confirm.
Why was my card declined at Norton checkout?
Common things to check are insufficient card balance, a billing address that doesn't match your card, an unfinished 3-D Secure step, or a mistyped card number. Re-enter the details carefully and retry. Norton reports messages like "We are unable to process your order from the information provided"; if it persists, contact Norton support, or ask Coinepay support to check the card side.
Does LifeLock charge me before my renewal date?
Yes, subscriptions renew automatically and Norton can apply annual renewal charges up to 35 days before your term expires. A free trial also requires a payment method and becomes chargeable when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Keep enough balance on your Coinepay card ahead of the renewal.
How do I update the card LifeLock bills?
Sign in to your Norton account and go to My Account then Billing information to add or change a card; the product must be linked to that account. To stop future charges instead, use My Account then My Subscriptions and select Cancel Renewal or Manage Subscriptions.
