Kaplan Learning OnDemand sells online accountancy study subscriptions at kaplan-learning.com, covering qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA and ACA (ICAEW). Checkout accepts debit and credit cards, so you can pay with a Coinepay virtual card that carries its own card number, expiry date and CVV. This guide walks through what you need, how to subscribe, and what to do if a payment is declined.

Note that "Kaplan" also refers to other Kaplan businesses with different products and policies. This article covers the OnDemand accountancy subscriptions only. Customers in the UK or Ireland are directed by Kaplan's own international terms to kaplan.co.uk, where a subscription may not be offered, so check which Kaplan site serves your region before you buy.

Before you start

Have these ready so checkout goes smoothly:

  • A verified Coinepay account. If you do not have one yet, register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) first. Card services are only available after KYC, and virtual-asset-related services are not available to residents of mainland China or in every jurisdiction.
  • A Coinepay virtual card with available balance. Create a card in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app and note its number, expiry and CVV. Make sure it holds enough for your chosen plan and interval.
  • Your real billing details. Use your genuine name and billing address exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account. Matching details help the payment pass verification.
  • A Kaplan Learning website account. You will create or sign in to one during sign-up.

Kaplan's checkout lists card options including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Delta/Debit/Electron, Maestro, Solo, Diners Card and JCB, and the subscription pages show Visa, Amex, Mastercard and Maestro logos. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card meets a particular requirement at checkout, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Choose your Kaplan plan

The official OnDemand subscriptions are AAT OnDemand, ACCA OnDemand, CIMA OnDemand and ACA (ICAEW) OnDemand. Each offers monthly, quarterly and yearly billing. A five-day free trial is advertised; once it expires you must enrol in a paid subscription to keep access.

At the time of writing (October 2026), the displayed US-dollar prices for AAT, ACCA and CIMA were each US$94/month, US$229/3 months or US$803/12 months. For ACA, the Certificate and Professional levels only option showed US$128/month, US$340/3 months or US$1,112/12 months, while All levels showed US$177/month, US$473/3 months or US$1,565/12 months. Kaplan notes the case study is excluded from the ACA All levels subscription. Prices and currency vary by region (the international terms reference Malaysian ringgit, euros or dollars), so always confirm the current amount on the official subscribe page for your qualification before paying. Ignore any promotion banner dated 2024 still visible on the pages; it is not a current offer.

ACA buyers should also note the Next Generation ACA transition: Certificate exams began changing in September 2025, Professional in March 2026 and Advanced is scheduled for July 2027, so confirm which syllabus your purchase covers.

Step-by-step: subscribe and pay

  1. Create your virtual card in Coinepay. Open the dashboard or app, issue a card, and top it up to cover the first billing period with a little margin for currency conversion.
  2. Go to kaplan-learning.com and open the subscribe page for your qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
  3. Select the billing interval — monthly, quarterly or yearly. For ACA, also choose Certificate and Professional levels only or All levels.
  4. Create or sign in to your Kaplan Learning account. Use your real name and email so invoices and syllabus emails reach you.
  5. Proceed to online checkout and enter your card details. Type the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry and CVV, and enter your billing address exactly as it is on your Coinepay profile.
  6. Complete any 3-D Secure step. If prompted, approve the confirmation through your Coinepay app so the charge can authorise.
  7. Submit the order. Kaplan says an order can take up to 48 hours to complete. For ACA, its team will email you after purchase to help select the syllabus.
  8. Save your confirmation. Keep the receipt and check your Coinepay transaction record so the amounts match.

Managing your subscription and renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Sign in to your Kaplan Learning website account to view subscription details and past invoices, edit payment details, change your subscription, or cancel; you can also cancel by emailing Kaplan customer services. The public terms do not confirm a more specific menu path, so look under your account's subscription or billing area. When you cancel, access continues through the current paid period.

To keep renewals working, make sure your Coinepay card stays valid and funded ahead of each billing date. If you replace the card, update the stored payment details in your Kaplan account before the next charge.

If your card is declined

Kaplan's help centre advises checking that your bank approved the payment and contacting Student Services if it does not go through; it does not publish a list of specific card error codes. Here are the most common causes and how to resolve them with a Coinepay card:

  • Insufficient balance. Confirm the card holds enough for the full plan amount plus any currency conversion. Top up in the Coinepay app and retry.
  • Billing address mismatch. The name and address at Kaplan checkout must match your Coinepay profile. Correct any typo in postcode, street or country and try again.
  • 3-D Secure not completed. If an authentication prompt appears, approve it in your Coinepay app. A dismissed or timed-out prompt will show as a decline.
  • Merchant or region checks. Some checkouts apply card-type or regional rules. Availability, regional prices and any applicable tax should be checked at checkout. If a payment is refused for a card-eligibility reason, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the requirement rather than assuming it does.
  • Per-card spending limit. If you set a custom limit on the card, raise it to cover the charge in the Coinepay dashboard.

If a renewal payment fails, Kaplan says it emails you, retries after 3 days and again after 5 days, then cancels access if payment still fails after 7 days. Access can be reactivated once payment is received, so fixing the card promptly within that window protects your study access.

Refunds and cancellation notes

The subscription terms state that cancelling does not refund monthly, quarterly or annual periods you have already paid. Kaplan's general course terms separately describe a 14-day change-of-mind period with deductions and digital-content exceptions; whether it applies to a given subscription purchase should be checked against the terms shown at your checkout rather than assumed. Read the terms on the page before you confirm.

FAQ

Can I pay for a Kaplan OnDemand subscription with a Coinepay virtual card?

Yes. Kaplan Learning OnDemand checkout accepts debit and credit cards, and you enter your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry and CVV like any other card. Make sure the card is funded and your billing address matches your Coinepay profile. If checkout applies a card-eligibility rule, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets it before buying.

How much does a Kaplan OnDemand subscription cost?

At the time of writing (October 2026), AAT, ACCA and CIMA each showed US$94/month, US$229/3 months or US$803/12 months, and ACA ranged higher depending on levels. Prices and currency vary by region, so always confirm the current amount on the official subscribe page for your qualification before paying.

What happens if my card payment to Kaplan fails?

Kaplan emails you, retries the payment after 3 days and again after 5 days, then cancels access if it still fails after 7 days. Access can be reactivated once payment is received. Top up your Coinepay card and correct any address or 3-D Secure issue within that window to keep your access.

Is there a free trial before I have to pay?

Kaplan advertises a five-day free trial. After it expires you must enrol in a paid monthly, quarterly or yearly subscription to keep access. Have a funded Coinepay card ready so your access continues when the trial ends.

Can I get a refund if I cancel my Kaplan subscription?

Kaplan's subscription terms say cancelling does not refund periods you have already paid, and access continues until the end of the current paid period. A separate 14-day change-of-mind right may apply to some purchases with exceptions, so check the terms shown at your checkout rather than assuming.
