You can start using HubSpot CRM through Free Tools without a credit card. If you decide to buy a paid Smart CRM subscription, you can enter a Coinepay virtual card at HubSpot checkout. This guide covers account setup, the two purchase routes, and what to check if a card payment does not go through.

Choose the HubSpot CRM subscription you need

HubSpot calls its free offering Free Tools. Its paid standalone CRM tiers are Smart CRM Starter, Smart CRM Professional, and Smart CRM Enterprise. Smart CRM features can also be included in paid editions of other HubSpot products, so check what is in your order rather than assuming every quote is for the standalone CRM.

At the time of writing (October 2026), HubSpot’s U.S. product catalog listed Free Tools at $0 per month for up to two users and starting standalone prices of $20, $50, and $75 per seat per month for Starter, Professional, and Enterprise, respectively. HubSpot’s Smart CRM pricing page also showed a lower Professional starting price with annual payment. Prices, offers, billing periods, seat counts, and taxes can change or differ by location. Check HubSpot’s official Smart CRM pricing page and your checkout or quote for the amount you will actually owe.

In particular, distinguish monthly billing from the subscription term. Paying monthly does not necessarily mean you have a month-to-month commitment. Review the term and renewal information before supplying a card.

Get your Coinepay card and billing details ready

  1. Set up Coinepay. Register for Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. You can manage your account through the self-service dashboard or the Coinepay mobile app for iOS or Android.
  2. Get your virtual card details. Coinepay issues virtual cards with an instant card number, expiry date, and CVV. Open your card in Coinepay when you are ready to enter those details at HubSpot checkout.
  3. Check available funds. Leave enough to cover the full amount shown by HubSpot, including any applicable taxes. If you are unsure about available funds or card settings, check your Coinepay account before submitting payment.
  4. Use your real billing information. Have the cardholder name and genuine billing address ready. If you are buying for a company, also prepare the company details requested in the checkout or quote. Do not change your address or identity to work around a regional or payment check.

HubSpot lists credit and debit cards among its methods for paying HubSpot subscription charges. Whether a particular card can be used for a particular purchase is determined during checkout and any applicable payment checks. Other listed subscription-payment methods include ACH for U.S.-based accounts and SEPA for Europe- or UK-based accounts paying in euros.

Sign up for HubSpot and pay through self-service checkout

  1. Create a HubSpot account. Sign up using your name and email address, Google login, or Apple ID. If you want to explore the CRM first, choose Free Tools; HubSpot does not require a credit card for that offering.
  2. Open the purchase area. In your HubSpot account, select your account name → Pricing & Features. Find the Smart CRM edition and configuration you want, then select Buy now to continue through self-service checkout. If you select Talk to Sales instead, expect a sales-assisted purchase rather than this checkout route.
  3. Review the order. Check the product edition, number of seats, subscription term, billing cycle, renewal terms, and total charge. Do not rely on a starting price to predict the final bill.
  4. Enter the card and billing information. Use the card number, expiry date, and CVV displayed in Coinepay. Enter your real billing and company details as requested, review HubSpot’s terms, and submit the purchase only after checking the final amount.
  5. Confirm the result. Wait for checkout confirmation. If the page stalls or shows a failure, check HubSpot’s billing area and your Coinepay activity before trying again, so you do not submit a duplicate order unnecessarily.

Pay a HubSpot sales quote or an existing invoice

If you are working with HubSpot Sales, open the quote sent to you by email. Check its subscription term, billing cycle, renewal provisions, charges, and terms before selecting Checkout. Enter the company and payment details requested and accept the terms to complete the purchase. A HubSpot sales representative can enable guest checkout for someone who does not have a HubSpot login.

For an existing subscription, an authorized user can find billing controls under account name → Account & Billing. Open Payment Methods to manage subscription payment methods. Transactions contains invoices and payment records; where an invoice offers online payment, a billing admin can use Transactions → Pay now. Use Subscriptions to review the subscription term and auto-renewal. If you cannot see the needed control, ask your organization’s HubSpot billing admin rather than creating a second purchase.

Troubleshoot a declined Coinepay card payment

A declined or incomplete checkout does not, by itself, identify the cause. Work through the checks below without repeatedly submitting the same payment:

  • Insufficient available funds: Compare the available amount in Coinepay with HubSpot’s checkout or invoice total, including any applicable taxes. If the available amount is too low, resolve that in Coinepay before trying again. Check the app or contact Coinepay support if you need help understanding your available funds.
  • Billing details do not match: Recheck the card number, expiry date, CVV, cardholder details, and billing address for typing errors. Use your real details and make sure the information submitted to HubSpot reflects the details applicable to your card and account. If you are unsure which billing details to enter, ask Coinepay support; do not invent an address.
  • Authentication was not completed: If checkout asks for a 3-D Secure or other card verification step, follow the prompt and check your Coinepay app for any action you need to take. An interrupted browser session may prevent a payment from finishing. Do not assume an authentication prompt will appear for every purchase.
  • Region or payment eligibility check: Confirm that your real account, business, and billing details are correct and that the purchase is available to you under HubSpot’s terms. A restriction on enrolling as a merchant in HubSpot payments is separate from buying a HubSpot CRM subscription; it should not be treated as a general CRM availability rule. If checkout indicates a regional or card-eligibility issue, ask HubSpot about that order and contact Coinepay support about your card rather than changing your location details.

For a HubSpot invoice-card decline, HubSpot also advises asking the card provider to authorize the charge, removing and re-adding the card, or trying a cleared browser or private window. If those steps do not help, contact HubSpot Support with the invoice or quote details and the time of the attempt. Share only the information support requests through an appropriate channel; never send a card’s full number or CVV in an ordinary message.

Manage renewal after your purchase

After checkout, revisit Account & Billing → Subscriptions to confirm the term and auto-renewal, and use Payment Methods if you need to update the card used for subscription charges. Keep track of upcoming invoices under Transactions.

HubSpot generally does not allow a paid subscription to be canceled mid-term. An authorized admin can go to Account & Billing → Subscriptions → Cancel auto-renewal before the term ends; cancellation then takes effect at renewal. HubSpot’s terms generally treat payments as non-refundable, with specified exceptions such as a qualifying termination for cause. Check your own agreement and contact HubSpot about any contract or refund question before assuming that stopping renewal reverses an existing charge.

FAQ

Do I need a card to try HubSpot CRM?

No. HubSpot Free Tools do not require a credit card. A paid Smart CRM purchase requires you to complete the applicable checkout.

Where do I add a card for an existing HubSpot subscription?

Go to account name → Account & Billing → Payment Methods. For an invoice that offers online payment, a billing admin can use Transactions → Pay now.

What if HubSpot asks me to verify my card payment?

Follow the checkout prompt and check your Coinepay app for any required action. If verification cannot be completed, contact Coinepay support.

Does canceling auto-renewal refund my current HubSpot term?

Generally, no. HubSpot says cancellation takes effect at renewal and payments are generally non-refundable, subject to its terms and any applicable exception.
