You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at Docusign’s online subscription checkout, but payment depends on the options shown for your account and whether Docusign accepts the card. This guide covers choosing an eSignature plan, completing checkout with your real billing details, and checking common causes of an unsuccessful payment.
What you need before subscribing
- A Coinepay account ready for card use. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC). You can manage your card in the Coinepay app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
- Your virtual card details. Coinepay provides a card number, expiry date and CVV. Check the app for the card’s current details and available funds before checkout.
- Your real account and billing information. Use an email address you can access for Docusign’s confirmation and activation messages. Enter billing details that accurately reflect you or your business; do not change your country or address to try to bypass a regional check.
- A plan and billing option. Check Docusign’s official pricing page for your country, the number of user licenses, the amount due and the renewal terms. Displayed prices may differ from your final checkout total because of taxes or offer eligibility.
Docusign’s published subscription FAQ lists Visa and Mastercard, plus American Express in most countries, as accepted card brands. It says Discover, Diners Club and JCB are not accepted for plan payment. Check your card’s details in Coinepay and the methods offered in your Docusign checkout. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets Docusign’s card requirements before you buy. Do not assume that a card accepted by another merchant will be accepted for this subscription.
Choose the right Docusign plan
Docusign’s eSignature tiers include Personal, Standard and Business Pro, with Enhanced plans available through sales. Names vary by country: the Canadian online page, for example, calls two tiers Standard Unlimited and Business Pro Unlimited. Its “unlimited” description applies to manual sends from the web app; automated sending has a separate allowance. Docusign also lists IAM plans, including IAM Starter, IAM Standard and IAM Professional. Choose the product category you actually need rather than relying on a similar-looking tier name.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Docusign’s U.S. eSignature page displayed Personal at US$11/month, Standard at US$30/user/month and Business Pro at US$45/user/month on an annual commitment billed in monthly installments. These are displayed plan prices, not a promise of your checkout total. Other country pages use different prices, currencies and billing arrangements. Check Docusign’s official pricing page and your checkout summary for current terms; do not mistake a monthly installment on an annual commitment for a month-to-month subscription.
How to sign up and pay with your Coinepay virtual card
- Open Docusign’s official pricing page. Select the correct product and country page, read the plan details, and choose Buy Now for the plan you want. Sales-quoted plans may follow a different purchase process.
- Set up the purchase. Choose an available billing option and the required number of user licenses. Review the displayed total, any overage prices, the commitment length and the renewal terms before continuing.
- Enter your email address. Use an address you control. Docusign emails a purchase confirmation, and new customers activate their account through email after purchase.
- Complete billing details. Enter your real name or business details and the correct billing address. Check that the selected country is appropriate for your purchase rather than trying a different region to obtain a particular price or payment option.
- Enter the card. Retrieve your Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date and CVV from the app or dashboard. Enter them only in Docusign’s checkout, and complete any verification request presented during payment.
- Review and select Purchase. Confirm the amount, billing frequency and payment method first. Wait for Docusign’s result and its confirmation email; do not assume that clicking the button means an order succeeded.
Docusign Payments is a different feature that lets a business collect money from document signers. Its gateway payment methods do not tell you which methods are available for buying a Docusign subscription. Use the options displayed in your own subscription checkout.
What to check if the card is declined or checkout fails
A failed checkout does not by itself identify the reason. One publicly reported Docusign message is “We cannot process your order at this time. Please try again.” That message has not been established as a specific card-decline code. Before retrying repeatedly, check for an order confirmation so you do not mistake a processing delay for an incomplete purchase.
- Insufficient available funds: Compare your available funds with the full amount shown at checkout, including applicable taxes and any charges due immediately. For an annual plan billed annually, assess the annual charge rather than only the displayed per-month equivalent. If the available amount is unclear, check the Coinepay app or ask support.
- Billing-address or detail mismatch: Recheck the card number, expiry date, CVV, cardholder information and billing address for entry mistakes. Use your genuine details. A mismatch is a possible issue to investigate, not a confirmed explanation for every decline.
- 3-D Secure or another verification step: If checkout requests authentication, follow the on-screen instructions and keep the relevant app or verification channel available. If no challenge appears, do not assume a missed 3-D Secure step caused the failure. Ask Coinepay support whether it can identify a failed authorization or verification attempt.
- Card-brand or merchant-region checks: Compare the card brand with Docusign’s published policy, then check whether the selected country, billing details and checkout options match your legitimate location. Do not use a false address or other workaround. Contact Coinepay support to confirm the card meets Docusign’s requirements; Docusign support can help investigate an order that its checkout will not process.
- Checkout or browser issue: If the page fails without a clear payment explanation, try refreshing your session or using another browser or device. Check whether you received a Docusign confirmation before starting a new order. Provide support with the exact message and the approximate time of the attempt, but never send a full card number or CVV in an ordinary support message.
Manage your payment details and renewal
If you already have an eligible online Docusign subscription, sign in at account.docusign.com as an administrator. For plan changes, go to Admin → Plan and Billing → Manage Your Subscription; some accounts call the billing area Subscription and Billing. Where subscription management is available, the payment-detail path is Plan and Billing → Manage Subscription → Manage Renewal → Edit Your Subscription. Edit the billing and payment information there. If those controls are unavailable, contact Docusign Support. Purchases made through an app store are managed through that store, while a sales-purchased plan may require your sales representative.
Check renewal terms before replacing a card or cancelling. Docusign plans renew automatically. Its terms specify cancelling at least five business days before the term ends to prevent renewal, unless you can turn off auto-renew through the administrative console. Docusign says monthly subscribers can cancel to avoid the next month’s charge, but a U.S. annual commitment paid in monthly installments is different: cancellation after its stated 30-day period can leave the remaining annual balance, taxes and applicable overages payable. Docusign describes a 30-day refund window for certain annual plans purchased on its site, subject to eligibility and its terms; confirm how those rules apply to your purchase rather than assuming a refund.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for Docusign Personal or Business Pro?
You can enter the card at an eligible Docusign checkout, but acceptance is not assured. Check the offered payment methods and ask Coinepay support to confirm the card meets Docusign’s requirements before buying.
Why does Docusign say it cannot process my order?
That message does not establish a specific cause. Check for an order confirmation, verify your funds and billing details, and contact Docusign or Coinepay support if the issue continues.
Where can I change the card on my Docusign subscription?
If you are an administrator and the controls are available, go to Plan and Billing → Manage Subscription → Manage Renewal → Edit Your Subscription. Otherwise, contact Docusign Support.
Does a U.S. Docusign annual plan billed monthly become month-to-month?
No. It remains an annual commitment paid in installments; cancelling after the stated 30-day period may leave the remaining annual balance and applicable charges payable.
