Looking for Grammarly Premium? The name matters before you reach checkout: Grammarly’s current web plans are Free, Pro, and Enterprise. New web purchases use Pro rather than Premium; Premium remains available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. This guide explains both routes, how to enter a Coinepay virtual card where card payment is offered, and what to do if payment fails.

Choose the right Grammarly purchase route

If you want to enter virtual-card details directly at Grammarly’s website, start with the Pro web checkout. Grammarly describes Pro as its current paid self-service web plan. Enterprise requires a sales quote, while a separate Grammarly Plus plan may appear for eligible customers in select countries. Do not assume Plus is available in your location or that it is another name for Premium.

If you specifically want a subscription named Grammarly Premium, check its listing in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Store purchases use the store’s checkout and billing arrangements, not Grammarly’s web card form. An upgrade started inside Grammarly’s iPhone or iPad app shows Apple Pay; an upgrade started inside its Android app shows Google Pay. Whether you can add and use a particular Coinepay card for a store purchase depends on that store account’s available payment methods and checks.

Existing web-purchased Premium subscriptions have been gradually moved to Pro since March 2025 without an increase to those subscribers’ existing billing amount. Store-purchased Premium subscriptions are not part of that migration. Check your own subscription screen rather than starting a second purchase to resolve a naming difference.

What you need before checkout

  • A Grammarly account. You can create a free account using an email address and password or Google, Facebook, or Apple sign-in.
  • An available Coinepay virtual card. Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. The card number, expiry date, and CVV are available when your virtual card is issued; manage it through the Coinepay app or self-service dashboard.
  • Enough available funds. Check the full amount due at checkout, including any applicable tax, and account for future renewal charges. Tax may be shown separately or included in the displayed subscription cost.
  • Your real billing details. Use your actual name, address, and country. Check that the information entered is consistent with your payment method and the country selected at checkout.

Grammarly lists credit and debit cards and eligible prepaid cards among its possible payment methods, subject to what your checkout displays. It requires cards to support recurring e-commerce payments, and prepaid-card acceptance depends on issuer authorization. It does not accept Visa Electron or Mastercard Maestro. These rules do not establish whether a particular Coinepay card qualifies or will be accepted. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the relevant recurring-payment and card-eligibility requirements before you buy.

How to pay for Grammarly Pro on the web

  1. Prepare your card. If you are new to Coinepay, register, complete identity verification, and open your issued virtual card in the Coinepay app or dashboard. Check its available funds and copy its number, expiry date, and CVV carefully.
  2. Sign in to Grammarly. Create a free account if needed, then open Grammarly’s Plans page and choose Pro. Review the offer shown for your account and location.
  3. Select a billing interval. Grammarly offers monthly, quarterly, and annual Pro billing. At the time of writing (October 2026), its published US-dollar prices were $30 per member monthly, $60 per member every three months, or $144 per member annually. The annual figure averages $12 per month; it is not a $12 monthly charge. Prices vary by region, so check Grammarly’s official pricing page and the amount displayed at checkout before proceeding.
  4. Review the payment page. Confirm the plan, billing interval, displayed currency, total, tax treatment, and available payment methods. If a card-entry option appears, enter the Coinepay card details and your real billing details. Do not change your country or address to try to make a payment pass.
  5. Complete any requested verification. Follow any authentication prompt associated with the payment. Submit the purchase only after reviewing the amount and renewal terms, then wait for Grammarly’s confirmation. If the page stalls, check whether an order or subscription was created before trying again.

If Grammarly offers a seven-day paid-plan trial during sign-up, read the trial terms shown on your checkout page. Grammarly says there is no subscription charge before an offered trial ends, although a temporary pending card-verification transaction may appear. Do not assume a trial is available for every account or offer.

How to buy Premium through an app store

For a subscription specifically labeled Premium, find Grammarly’s offer through the Apple App Store or Google Play and review the plan name, store price, billing period, and renewal terms before approving payment. Store prices may differ from web Pro prices. Use the payment-method settings in your Apple or Google account if you want to check whether your Coinepay virtual card can be added. Adding a card does not guarantee that the store will accept it for this purchase.

Keep track of who bills you. A store-billed subscription requires payment-method changes in the relevant store account, whereas a Grammarly-billed web subscription is managed through Grammarly. If you are unsure which route you used, inspect the purchase confirmation and the subscription shown in your store account or Grammarly account before changing payment details.

What to check if your card is declined

Insufficient funds or incorrect card details

Compare the entered number and expiry date with the card shown in Coinepay, then check the available funds against the total Grammarly displays, including any tax. Grammarly identifies incorrect card details and insufficient funds as common decline reasons. Avoid repeated submissions while an earlier payment’s status is unclear.

Billing address or country mismatch

Check for a typo in your real billing address and verify the selected billing country. Grammarly reports a payment-method/billing-country mismatch notice when the selected country differs from the card’s issuing country. If your genuine details still trigger that notice, do not substitute another person’s address or select a false country. Ask Coinepay support about the card and contact Grammarly about the checkout requirement.

Authentication or 3-D Secure does not complete

If a card-authentication step appears, finish it promptly using the instructions presented. If the prompt closes, times out, or fails, check the card’s status in Coinepay and ask support whether additional authentication is needed for the attempted transaction. A failed authentication step does not establish that changing your billing country or repeatedly resubmitting the payment will help.

Merchant region or recurring-payment checks

Grammarly identifies location, disabled international online payments, and issuer fraud rules as possible reasons for a decline. Its cards must support recurring e-commerce payments, and its region-specific offers may have billing-country conditions. Grammarly also blocks service access from Russia, Belarus, and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Use the service only where you are eligible, and ask Coinepay support to check the card-side reason for a declined attempt. Only the issuer can confirm a specific issuer decline.

An error may not be a card decline

A spinning payment button, “Something went wrong,” or a 403 error in payment fields can mean Grammarly’s payment form failed to load. Check whether the purchase went through before retrying. A general “problem with my payment” notice may instead follow an issuer rejection. If the form itself will not load, contact Grammarly support with the message you saw; if a submitted card payment was rejected, contact Coinepay support with the transaction details shown in your account.

Manage renewal, payment details, or cancellation

For a Grammarly-billed subscription, sign in and go to Account → Your account → Subscription to view the plan and renewal date, change the plan, obtain receipts, or cancel. To replace a Grammarly-billed card or edit billing information, open Subscription → Payment Method → Update. Store-billed Premium purchases must be managed through the relevant Apple or Google account instead.

Grammarly subscriptions renew automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle unless canceled in time. For a Grammarly-billed plan, choose Account → Your account → Subscription → Cancel Subscription and complete the confirmation. Paid access generally continues through the current paid period; canceling an active free trial instead ends trial access immediately and returns the account to Free without a subscription charge. Grammarly’s general refund rule is no refunds except where required by law, so review the checkout terms before confirming. Apple App Store purchasers request refunds from Apple.

FAQ

Can I buy Grammarly Premium directly on Grammarly’s website?

New web purchases use Grammarly Pro rather than Premium. Premium remains available through the Apple App Store and Google Play, subject to the offer shown to you.

Will Grammarly accept my Coinepay virtual card?

Acceptance is not guaranteed. Grammarly requires cards to support recurring e-commerce payments, and its checkout determines the available methods. Contact Coinepay support to confirm your card meets the relevant requirements.

What if Grammarly says my payment method does not match the billing country?

Check your real billing details and selected country. Do not enter a false address or country; contact Coinepay support and Grammarly if the mismatch remains.

Where do I change the card for a Grammarly subscription?

For a Grammarly-billed plan, open Account → Your account → Subscription → Payment Method → Update. For an App Store or Google Play purchase, change the payment method in that store account.
