You can try paying for Discord Nitro by entering your Coinepay virtual card at Discord’s card checkout. This guide covers what to prepare, how to choose a plan and complete checkout, and what to check if the payment fails. A successful payment depends on Discord’s checkout checks and your card’s eligibility; it is not guaranteed.

Before you subscribe

Discord offers two plans for new purchases: Nitro and Nitro Basic. Both have monthly and annual billing options. Nitro Classic is not available for new purchase. If you already have Classic, you may keep it while that subscription remains active, but you cannot re-subscribe to it after canceling.

Review the features and price shown in your Discord account before choosing. Prices can vary by region and account; check Discord’s official pricing information and the final checkout total rather than relying on a price quoted elsewhere. Discord may add applicable taxes.

  • A Discord account: Sign in to the account that should receive Nitro. If you are new to Discord, create your account through Discord’s own sign-up flow first.
  • A Coinepay account: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Coinepay provides the virtual card number, expiry date and CVV after issuance; you can manage your card in its self-service dashboard or mobile app.
  • Enough available funds: Check the balance and any applicable card controls in Coinepay before you start. Leave room for the checkout total, including any tax shown by Discord. Check the app or contact Coinepay support if you need card-specific information.
  • Your real billing details: Use your actual name and the billing address associated with the card. Do not substitute an address from another country to seek a different price or bypass a payment check.

Discord lists credit and debit cards among its payment-method types, but that does not confirm that any particular card will pass checkout. If Discord shows a card-type or country-of-issue requirement for your purchase, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy. Coinepay services are not available in every jurisdiction.

How to pay for Nitro on desktop or in a browser

  1. Open the right Discord account. Sign in through the Discord desktop app or browser and confirm that you are using the account on which you want the subscription.
  2. Find the plans. Open User Settings → Nitro. On the Nitro or Nitro Basic card, choose Subscribe, then follow Select Plan.
  3. Choose monthly or annual billing. Compare the amount, billing period and any tax displayed for your account. Check the final terms before continuing.
  4. Enter your card. At card checkout, enter the number, expiry date and CVV shown in Coinepay. Supply your real billing details exactly as required by the form.
  5. Complete any verification. If checkout asks you to authenticate the payment, follow the prompt rather than repeatedly submitting the form. If you cannot complete a verification request, check the Coinepay app and contact support.
  6. Review and confirm. Check the amount and recurring-billing information before placing the order. Then look for confirmation in Discord and check User Settings → Subscriptions for the active plan.

A paid subscription is charged at purchase and renews automatically each billing period at the then-current rate until canceled. A trial may begin charging when it ends unless you cancel beforehand. Make a note of the renewal date shown under User Settings → Subscriptions, and keep sufficient funds available if you intend to renew.

What if you subscribe on mobile?

In Discord’s mobile app, open your avatar’s settings and choose Get Nitro or Get Basic. Follow the plan and payment options actually presented there. Available payment methods can differ by checkout flow, so a mobile purchase may not offer the same way to enter a card as desktop or browser checkout. If you want to enter your Coinepay card directly, check the payment options before confirming; you can also use Discord’s desktop or browser flow.

Apple Pay and Google Pay appear only in compatible checkout flows. Their appearance does not establish that your Coinepay card can be added to or used through either service. Always check the payment method and renewal terms displayed for the purchase you are making.

How to fix a declined or incomplete payment

Start with the exact message or status Discord shows. A decline does not necessarily explain which check failed, so change one relevant detail at a time and avoid repeated attempts while a charge is still pending.

What you seeWhat to check next
“Invalid payment” or a saved method marked “Invalid”Recheck the card number, expiry date and CVV, then confirm available funds and any spending controls in Coinepay. Discord also recommends checking the card’s available credit or preset spending limit, where applicable. If the details appear correct and the decline continues, contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt.
“Billing address is invalid”Discord associates this message with an address that differs from the card provider’s record. Review the saved address under User Settings → Billing and correct it using your real billing information. Ask Coinepay support if you are unsure which address is associated with your card.
An authentication or 3-D Secure prompt does not finishFollow the verification instructions shown during checkout. If the prompt expires, fails to load or cannot be completed, check whether there is an action to take in Coinepay and contact support for help. Do not assume that entering the card details alone completes a payment that requires verification.
The price or card is rejected after a region checkDiscord’s localized pricing requires an eligible payment method based in an eligible country. Some methods or regions can instead show USD pricing. Use your real account and billing details; do not change them to obtain another region’s price. If checkout states a card or issuing-country restriction, ask Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before trying again.
A charge shows as PendingFurther verification may be needed from the card provider. Check Discord and Coinepay for updates before retrying. Discord says an unresolved pending charge changes to Failed within three days; a hold on a card statement can take longer to disappear.

If you still cannot pay, record the error text and the date and amount of the attempt. Contact Coinepay support about card-side questions, or Discord billing support about a Discord checkout error. Never send your full card number or CVV in a support message.

Manage renewal, payment details and cancellation

On desktop or browser, User Settings → Subscriptions shows active plans, renewal dates, amounts and the payment method used for recurring charges. User Settings → Billing holds saved payment methods, transaction history and receipts. If you want to replace the card used for Nitro, check the payment method attached to the subscription itself: changing your default method for new purchases does not automatically change an existing subscription’s method.

To stop renewal for a desktop or browser purchase, go to User Settings → Subscriptions → Cancel. For a mobile purchase, Discord directs users to Settings → Billing Settings → Manage Nitro; use the same device type as the original purchase. Canceling stops future renewal, but Nitro benefits continue through the paid billing period.

Cancellation does not itself refund unused time. Discord says payments and partial periods are generally nonrefundable except under its refund policy or applicable law. If you seek a Nitro refund, contact Discord billing support and provide its requested purchase information within five days of the initial purchase. Approval is case-by-case, and Discord’s policy generally limits Nitro refunds to one per customer. For an iOS purchase, request a refund through Apple instead.

FAQ

Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for Discord Nitro?

You can enter its card details if Discord offers card checkout, but acceptance of a particular card is not guaranteed. Check any card or region requirement shown at checkout.

Where can I see which card pays for my Nitro renewal?

Open Discord User Settings → Subscriptions to see the method used for recurring payments. Saved methods and receipts are under User Settings → Billing.

Why does Discord say “Billing address is invalid”?

The address may not match the card provider’s record. Correct your real billing address under Discord User Settings → Billing, and ask Coinepay support if you are unsure of the card’s billing details.

Will canceling Nitro refund my payment?

No. Cancellation stops renewal but does not itself refund unused time. For an eligible Nitro refund request, contact Discord billing support within five days of the initial purchase; iOS refund requests go through Apple.
