DeepL Write Pro is currently offered as a Write Pro add-on to eligible DeepL Translator plans. This guide explains how to prepare a Coinepay virtual card, review DeepL’s checkout, and handle common payment problems without changing your real billing or location details.
Check the plan and billing terms first
DeepL’s current Translator tiers are Individual, Team, Business, and Enterprise. On its pricing page, the Write Pro add-on is offered with Individual and Team; Write Pro is included in Business and appears in the Enterprise comparison. DeepL has changed its plan offering, so use its current pricing page rather than an older help article to confirm what is available for your account.
At the time of writing (October 2026), DeepL’s US pricing page showed the Write Pro add-on at $7.49 per user per month when billed annually, in addition to the eligible base plan. That monthly figure describes an annual-billing offer, not necessarily a month-to-month checkout price. Prices, taxes, currencies, and available billing periods can differ by location; check DeepL’s official pricing page and the final order summary before accepting a charge.
DeepL advertises a 30-day trial for Individual and Team on its pricing page. A customer with an existing, already-paid Translator subscription cannot get a trial of the Write Pro add-on. If an annual subscription follows a free trial, DeepL charges for the full year after the trial; a monthly subscription is charged at the start of each monthly billing period. Review the terms shown for your particular selection instead of assuming the add-on has its own trial.
What you need before checkout
- An eligible location: DeepL limits paid-plan purchases to its published country-and-region list, which includes the US, UK, EU, Japan, and Canada. Check that list for your actual country before starting. Coinepay cannot change DeepL’s availability rules.
- A Coinepay account and card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. Your card number, expiry date, and CVV are available when the virtual card is issued; manage the card through the self-service dashboard or mobile app.
- Enough available funds: Allow for the amount in DeepL’s order summary, including any applicable tax and the billing period you select. Check the amount and your available card funds in the Coinepay app before submitting payment.
- Real account and billing information: Have an email address, password, and your correct billing address ready. Enter details that match your genuine billing information; do not use a made-up address to try to pass a regional or card check.
DeepL says it accepts credit and debit cards on paid plans and lists American Express, Cartes Bancaires, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Mastercard, UnionPay, and Visa. It does not accept PayPal. These are DeepL’s payment-method rules, not a promise that a particular virtual card will be accepted. If checkout imposes a card-type, network, or issuing-region requirement, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card meets it before you buy.
How to sign up and pay for the Write Pro add-on
- Open DeepL’s official pricing page. Confirm that the site is DeepL’s own site, then choose the offer for your real billing country. Compare Individual, Team, and Business: Business includes Write Pro, while the add-on can be selected with eligible Individual or Team offers.
- Select the appropriate add-on option. The pricing page labels the add-on choices Add to Individual and Add to Team. If you already have a Translator subscription, sign in and check the options shown for your existing plan; do not create a second subscription just to seek a trial. The Business option instead shows Buy now.
- Set up or sign in to your DeepL account. DeepL’s sign-up and checkout ask for an email address and password. Follow the account prompts shown for your selection.
- Enter your billing address and payment information. Choose the card option if it is available for your checkout, and enter the Coinepay card number, expiry date, and CVV exactly as displayed in your Coinepay account. Use your genuine billing details. If DeepL asks you to authenticate the payment, follow the instructions presented by the payment flow.
- Review the order summary. Verify the base plan, Write Pro add-on, number of users if applicable, billing period, currency, total due, and any trial terms. DeepL then asks you to accept its terms and click the order button. Confirm only when the displayed terms and amount are what you intend to purchase.
- Check the result in your DeepL account. Confirm the subscription appears as expected. For invoices and payment status, go to Billing in your DeepL account. Keep track of when a trial ends or the next payment is scheduled.
DeepL’s billing currency depends on its billing-country rules: for example, UK billing is in EUR, Japan in JPY, and Canada in CAD. Do not assume the currency from the language of the page; use the currency and total in your own order summary.
If DeepL declines the card
A decline does not, by itself, identify which check failed. Work through the likely causes below, then contact the appropriate support team if the problem continues. Avoid repeatedly submitting an order without checking whether a payment or subscription was already created.
- Insufficient balance: Compare the available funds on your Coinepay card with DeepL’s actual checkout total or renewal amount. An annual offer can require payment for the full year after a trial, even when pricing is displayed as a per-month figure. Add funds through the options shown in your Coinepay account if needed, then retry when the available amount is sufficient.
- Incorrect card details or billing-address mismatch: Re-enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV carefully, and check that the card has not expired. Correct any typo in your real name or billing address; do not substitute another country or an invented address. DeepL lists mismatched billing information among possible reasons for failure.
- 3-D Secure authentication: DeepL lists missing 3-D Secure support and blocked authentication pop-ups as possible causes. If an authentication window appears, allow it to open and complete the requested step. If no usable authentication flow appears, ask Coinepay support whether your card can meet the authentication requirement; do not assume that retrying will resolve it.
- Merchant, issuer, or region checks: Make sure DeepL offers paid plans in your real country and that the billing country you selected is correct. DeepL also cites issuer restrictions as a potential cause. If checkout specifies a card-type or issuing-region condition, confirm card eligibility with Coinepay support. If the card is eligible but DeepL still declines it, ask DeepL support to review the attempted payment.
For a failed renewal, check Billing in DeepL for the invoice and its payment status. DeepL says its payment processor may retry a failed card charge several times over several days. An account suspended for arrears is reactivated when the outstanding amount is collected. To replace or correct a saved card, use Account → Payment method in DeepL and verify the details before waiting for or initiating another payment.
Manage or cancel the subscription
For a subscription purchased directly from DeepL, go to Account → Subscription, select the subscription, and choose Cancel subscription. DeepL says to cancel at least one day before the next scheduled payment to avoid the following billing period. The Write Pro add-on can be cancelled separately and remains available until the end of its current period.
If you cancel during a trial, access continues until the trial ends and you avoid the subsequent charge. If you cancel after paying, access generally continues through the paid monthly or annual period, but DeepL does not give a credit simply for cancelling early. For a possible refund, contact DeepL through its logged-in support chat so it can check eligibility. Where applicable, DeepL’s terms provide consumers a 14-day withdrawal right; if you requested service during that time, a proportionate charge for service already supplied may apply.
If you need help locating card information or checking a Coinepay-side decline, use the Coinepay support page. For plan eligibility, an invoice, or a DeepL checkout decision, contact DeepL directly.
