Coinepay Global Remittance supports transfers from Italy to Bangladesh. You can choose an available payout route for a bank account, mobile wallet or cash pickup, then review the exchange rate and fees before you confirm. This guide explains what to prepare, how the Bangladesh payout methods differ and what to do if a transfer needs attention.
What you need before sending
Register for a Coinepay account and complete identity verification before starting a transfer. You can manage transfers in the Coinepay mobile app or the 24/7 self-service dashboard. You will need the recipient’s full legal name, exactly as it appears on their bank or wallet account or identification document. Ask them to confirm their payout details directly rather than relying on an old message or a saved contact.
The details you need depend on the payout method you select:
- Bank deposit: Ask for the recipient’s account number, bank name and branch details. Have the branch name and district ready if the transfer form requests them. Depending on the payout route, you may also need the bank’s nine-digit Bangladesh routing number or its SWIFT/BIC and receiving instructions.
- Mobile wallet: Ask for the wallet provider, the recipient’s registered full name and the wallet number. The recipient should check that the wallet is active and eligible to receive a remittance.
- Cash pickup: Ask for the recipient’s legal name as shown on their valid identification and confirm where they can collect the money. Check any location-specific instructions shown during the transfer.
Bangladesh’s local currency is the Bangladeshi taka (BDT). Check the sending and receiving currencies displayed in Coinepay before confirming, and make sure the intended recipient can receive the selected payout. Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may request documents about the transfer’s purpose or the source of funds.
How to send money from Italy to Bangladesh
- Sign in to your verified account. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and start a Global Remittance transfer. If you have not registered, create an account and complete the required verification first.
- Choose the destination and currency. Select Bangladesh as the receiving country, then select the available sending and receiving currencies appropriate for your transfer. Review the displayed payout choices; the details requested on the next screen will depend on your selection.
- Select a payout method and enter recipient details. For bank deposit, enter the bank and account information requested on the form. For a mobile wallet, select the available provider and enter the registered name and wallet number. For cash pickup, enter the recipient’s name and follow any location instructions. Use accurate, real details throughout.
- Review before confirming. Check the recipient’s name, payout details, currencies and amount. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm the transfer. Read the displayed summary so you understand what the recipient is expected to receive.
- Confirm and track the transfer. Submit only after the details match what the recipient provided. Follow the transfer status in the app or dashboard, and share any collection instructions with the recipient if you chose cash pickup.
If a field or payout option looks unfamiliar, pause before submitting. Contact Coinepay support rather than guessing a code, account format or recipient name.
Choosing a Bangladesh payout method
Bank deposit
For a deposit to a Bangladesh bank account, the recipient should obtain their account number, the bank’s name and the relevant branch information from their bank. Bangladesh does not have a registered national IBAN format. Do not turn a Bangladesh account number into an invented IBAN or use an Italian IBAN as the recipient’s Bangladesh account identifier.
Different payout routes may ask for different bank identifiers. A Bangladesh domestic routing number is a nine-digit bank-branch identifier; it is not interchangeable with a SWIFT/BIC. A route using international bank instructions may instead ask for the receiving bank’s SWIFT/BIC and other details supplied by that bank. Enter the identifiers the Coinepay transfer form actually requests, and have the recipient verify them with their bank. The recipient may also need to answer their bank’s questions about the incoming payment or provide supporting information under local rules.
Mobile wallet
A mobile-wallet payout credits an eligible wallet in Bangladesh rather than asking the recipient to collect cash. Bangladesh remittance channels include wallets such as bKash, Nagad, Rocket and UPay; check the Coinepay transfer screen for the providers available for your transfer from Italy. Do not assume that a wallet listed in another provider’s service is necessarily an option on your Coinepay transfer.
Ask the recipient for the wallet number and the full name registered to that wallet. For bKash, the recipient should confirm that their account is active and that its identity information is current; similar eligibility or verification requirements may apply to other wallets. The receiving wallet provider may ask the recipient to complete its own checks before funds can be credited. A local wallet payout is a way to deliver an inward remittance in Bangladesh, not an instruction to send a separate cross-border wallet-to-wallet payment.
Cash pickup
Cash pickup can help when the recipient prefers to collect funds in person instead of receiving a bank or wallet credit. Select an available pickup option in the transfer flow and give the recipient the collection details shown after confirmation. They should bring valid identification bearing the same legal name you entered. They may also need the transfer information specified in the pickup instructions.
Before sending, the recipient should consider whether the designated payout location is practical for them to visit. Collection depends on the location’s identification checks, opening hours and applicable local requirements. If the name on the transfer differs from the recipient’s identification, seek help before they travel to collect it.
Recipient-side checks in Bangladesh
Ask the recipient to confirm which method they can use before you choose it. A bank account must be able to receive the relevant deposit; a wallet must be registered and eligible; and a cash-pickup recipient must be able to present acceptable identification. The receiving bank, wallet provider or payout location may carry out its own checks, even after you have completed Coinepay’s verification.
Bangladesh’s rules may require a receiving bank to obtain information about an inward remittance, including its purpose, depending on the circumstances. If the recipient is asked for a declaration or documents, they should respond truthfully to their bank’s instructions. Do not change the recipient, payment purpose or payout route to avoid a review.
Troubleshooting a transfer
- Wrong recipient name, account or wallet number: Check the entered details against the recipient’s bank record, wallet registration or identification. If you have already confirmed, contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer details. Do not assume a submitted transfer can be edited or stopped; incorrect details can cause a rejection or return.
- Compliance review or request for documents: Watch the app or dashboard for status updates and follow any request for identity, purpose-of-payment or source-of-funds information. Coinepay screens customers and counterparties against sanctions lists and does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions.
- No payout yet: Check the tracked status first. Bank processing, weekends or holidays, recipient-side checks and incorrect details can affect progress. For cash pickup, ask the recipient to check the designated location’s instructions and opening hours. Contact support if the status needs clarification.
- Transfer returned: Review the reason or status shown in Coinepay and ask support what to do next. Reconfirm every recipient detail before starting another transfer; do not repeatedly resubmit the same incorrect information.
