You can use a Coinepay virtual card to attempt payment for ProWritingAid Premium or Premium Pro through ProWritingAid’s card checkout. This guide covers what to prepare, how new and existing customers reach checkout, and what to check if a payment is declined. Card acceptance is determined at checkout and is not guaranteed.

What you need before checkout

  • A Coinepay account and virtual card: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification (KYC) before using card services. Coinepay provides the card number, expiry date and CVV in its app and 24/7 self-service dashboard.
  • Enough available funds: Check your card’s available balance and the full amount shown at ProWritingAid checkout. Depending on your location and the transaction, your card may need to cover more than the advertised plan price. Check applicable card details in the Coinepay app or ask Coinepay support before paying.
  • Your real billing information: Have your email and genuine invoice address ready. Use the address and country that accurately apply to you; do not enter a different country to try to change pricing or pass payment checks.
  • Access to payment prompts: Keep your Coinepay app and any authentication method available in case a verification step appears. You can get the app for iOS or Android.

ProWritingAid offers Free, Premium and Premium Pro. Premium and Premium Pro each have Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime purchase options. Monthly and Yearly renew automatically; Lifetime is a one-time purchase. Decide which option you want before entering card details, and review the final amount and billing terms on ProWritingAid’s checkout page.

Choose a ProWritingAid plan

At the time of writing (October 2026), the US-accessed ProWritingAid pricing page displayed Premium at $30 monthly, $120 yearly paid upfront, or $399 lifetime. Premium Pro displayed $36 monthly, $144 yearly paid upfront, or $699 lifetime. These are not quotes for every location or account. Check ProWritingAid’s official pricing page and the amount at checkout for the price that applies to you.

ProWritingAid says it displays GBP in the UK, EUR in European countries, INR in India and USD in other countries. The price you see while signed in may also reflect a prorated upgrade discount, and a promotion can change the displayed total. A yearly purchase charges the yearly amount upfront; do not assume it will be collected in monthly installments. If you only want to try the service before buying, its Free tier does not require a paid-plan purchase.

How to pay as a new ProWritingAid customer

  1. Open ProWritingAid’s official pricing page. Choose Monthly, Yearly or Lifetime, then select Premium or Premium Pro.
  2. Select Purchase Premium or Purchase Premium Pro, as appropriate. Confirm that the checkout shows the intended tier, purchase period, currency and total.
  3. Choose the card payment option. ProWritingAid says it accepts credit cards, debit cards and PayPal for plans and credits; availability of an individual payment option can depend on location. In India, ProWritingAid says PayPal is not available for its purchases, while credit and debit card options remain.
  4. Enter your email, then copy the card number, expiration date and CVV/CVC from your Coinepay virtual card. Complete the invoice address and country fields with your real details. Fill in company details only if they apply to the purchase.
  5. Review the total and any renewal information, then submit the payment once. Complete any authentication requested during checkout rather than repeatedly resubmitting while a prompt is pending.
  6. Check the result before trying again. ProWritingAid says customers who do not already have an account are invited to create one after successful payment. Follow that invitation so you can access and manage the purchase.

You can also create a free ProWritingAid account beforehand using an email address and password, Google, or Facebook. Creating an account alone does not buy a paid plan. If you prefer to sign in first, use the existing-customer route below.

How to upgrade an existing account

  1. Sign in to ProWritingAid and open My Account → Plans.
  2. Choose Upgrade and select the paid tier and purchase option offered on the payment page.
  3. Check the amount shown for your account. It may differ from the public pricing page if a prorated upgrade discount or promotion applies.
  4. Enter your Coinepay card details and accurate invoice information, review the purchase, and complete any required payment verification.

After payment, you can find billing controls under My Account → Billing. Payment History contains downloadable invoices, while Payment Method holds saved cards. ProWritingAid says card payers can add or remove cards there. If an existing subscription is billed through PayPal, its payment details must be changed in PayPal; moving that subscription to direct card billing requires cancellation and a new purchase.

What to check if your card is declined

A declined payment does not, by itself, identify the cause. ProWritingAid notes that cards not enabled for international payments and transactions flagged by an issuer can be rejected. It says it processes payments in the UK, so an international-payment check may be relevant even when the displayed price is in your local currency. Work through these checks without changing your identity or location details:

  • Insufficient available balance: Compare the available card balance with the checkout total, not just the headline monthly price. Yearly and Lifetime purchases have larger upfront totals. If the balance is insufficient, add funds using the options available in your Coinepay account, then retry after the balance updates. Check with Coinepay support if the displayed balance and a declined attempt do not make sense.
  • Billing address mismatch: Recheck the invoice country and address for typos and ensure they are your real billing details. Do not substitute a foreign address or someone else’s details to try to pass a check.
  • 3-D Secure or another authentication prompt: If checkout requests verification, follow the on-screen instructions and look for a pending prompt in the relevant app or authentication channel. If you did not receive one, or authentication failed, contact Coinepay support with the time and amount of the attempt. Do not assume every checkout will show the same verification flow.
  • Merchant or issuer region checks: Verify that your country, invoice details and chosen payment option match your actual circumstances. If a payment is rejected as international or due to a card eligibility rule, ask Coinepay support whether your card meets the applicable requirement before trying another purchase. ProWritingAid also suggests contacting the issuer or using another eligible payment option where available.
  • Issuer security review: An unusual transaction pattern can trigger a decline. Avoid a rapid series of identical attempts. Record the date, amount and any message displayed, then ask Coinepay support to investigate. Do not send your full card number or CVV in a support message.

If the page appears to stall, first check ProWritingAid’s account and billing history, your email, and your Coinepay card activity before submitting again. This helps you avoid an unintended second purchase. Share only the relevant transaction details with support if you need help.

Manage renewals and refund requests

For a Monthly or Yearly plan, sign in and go to My Account → Plans → Cancel Subscription, then confirm, if you want to stop automatic renewal. ProWritingAid says paid access continues through the current billing period. A Lifetime purchase does not renew.

If you want a refund for a Yearly or Lifetime plan, ProWritingAid says to contact its support within three days of purchase. Cancellation or account deletion does not automatically issue a refund. Monthly plans, Plagiarism Checks and Story Credits are generally nonrefundable, subject to the exceptions in ProWritingAid’s policies. Check its current terms before buying, especially if you are adding credits to a subscription.

FAQ

Do I need a ProWritingAid account before paying?

No. New customers can select a paid plan from the pricing page; ProWritingAid says it invites them to create an account after successful payment. You can also create a free account first.

Why is my ProWritingAid checkout price different from the public price?

Prices vary by region, and a signed-in account may show a prorated upgrade discount or a promotion. Review the currency and final total at checkout.

What should I do if my Coinepay card is declined?

Check the available balance, card details, real invoice address and any authentication prompt. If it still fails, contact Coinepay support with the attempt’s time, amount and displayed message.

Where can I change the card used for ProWritingAid?

Sign in and open My Account → Billing → Payment Method to add or remove saved cards. An existing PayPal subscription cannot be switched to direct card billing without cancellation and a new purchase.
