You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at Namecheap’s card checkout when buying a domain, hosting plan, or another eligible service. This guide covers what to prepare, how to complete checkout, where to manage the payment method, and what to check if a payment is declined. Card acceptance and approval depend on the details of the transaction.
What you need before checkout
- A Coinepay account: Register and complete identity verification before using card services. You can manage your card in the Coinepay dashboard or mobile app; the virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV are available when the card is issued.
- Enough available funds: Allow for the full checkout total, not just an advertised introductory price. A domain order may include an ICANN fee, and taxes or other applicable charges may appear in the cart.
- Your real account and billing information: Use accurate Namecheap registration details, domain contacts where required, and billing details that match the information associated with your payment method.
- A product choice: Check its term, renewal price, and availability before paying. Namecheap charges in USD; other currencies displayed on its site are informational conversions rather than local-currency checkout charges.
Namecheap lists virtual cards among the card products it accepts on specified card networks, but that policy does not establish whether any particular card or transaction will be approved. If you need to verify a card requirement before buying, contact Coinepay support.
Choose the right Namecheap product
A domain registration is not the same as a hosting subscription. For a domain, search for an available name and select a registration term. The extension can affect both the price and who is eligible to register it. For example, .us has a US-nexus requirement, while .ca has Canadian-presence requirements. Enter truthful registration contacts and check the extension’s rules before ordering.
For a website, Namecheap’s Shared Hosting tiers are Stellar, Stellar Plus, and Stellar Business. EasyWP managed WordPress plans are EasyWP Starter, EasyWP Turbo, and EasyWP Supersonic. Other product lines have their own tiers: new Private Email subscriptions use Launch, Expand, and Scale, while Reseller Hosting offers Nebula, Galaxy Expert, and Universe Pro. Choose on the relevant product page rather than assuming these tiers apply across Namecheap.
At the time of writing (October 2026), Namecheap’s domain price table displayed a promotional one-year .com registration price of $11.28 and a renewal price of $18.48. An additional $0.20 annual ICANN fee applies to affected transactions, including .com registrations. Namecheap had also announced a .com regular-price change for November 1, 2026. Prices and promotions can change, so check the official Namecheap product page and your final checkout total instead of relying on an earlier displayed price.
How to pay for Namecheap with your Coinepay card
- Prepare your card. Sign in to your Coinepay dashboard or app and make sure you can access the virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV. Check the funds available for the order. If you have not completed Coinepay identity verification, do that before attempting to use card services.
- Pick a product on Namecheap. For a domain, search for the name, confirm it is available, add it to your cart, and configure the registration term, contacts, and any selected options. For hosting, choose the relevant plan and billing term. Review whether an introductory offer differs from the renewal price.
- Continue from the cart. Select Confirm Order. If you are not signed in, log in to Namecheap or create an account when prompted.
- Choose card payment. At the payment and billing stage, select the card option; Namecheap’s domain flow labels it Secure Card Payment. Enter the Coinepay virtual card number, expiry date, and CVV, along with your genuine billing details. Check the cart before deciding whether to save the card for later use.
- Review and submit. Verify the product, term, domain contacts if applicable, total in USD, and renewal settings. Select Pay Now to submit the order. Complete any cardholder verification presented during payment rather than closing or bypassing it.
- Check the result. Look for Namecheap’s order confirmation and inspect your account for the purchased service. If the checkout does not confirm the order, check its status before making another payment attempt.
Namecheap also lists PayPal and Account Funds at its domain billing stage, but this guide describes direct card payment. A payment method available for a one-time purchase is not necessarily available for every type of automatic renewal.
Manage the card and future renewals
In Namecheap, saved cards are under Dashboard → Profile → Billing → Payment cards. Review a saved card there if it expires or you want to change the card used for future payments. Namecheap identifies cards or Account Funds as methods for ordinary automatic renewals; PayPal recurring payments are an exception for eligible Apps renewals, not a general renewal method. Check the renewal setting and payment method for each service rather than assuming an initial purchase covers its next term.
Apps have a separate payment area: Profile → Billing → Apps Payments. To review an EasyWP renewal, go to Apps → Subscriptions. You can turn off EasyWP auto-renewal there if you want the subscription to end after its paid period; contact Namecheap support if you need to ask about immediate cancellation. Review the applicable policy before canceling: domain registrations and renewals are generally final, while refund terms for hosting and EasyWP depend on the product and timing.
If Namecheap declines the card
A decline does not by itself identify the cause. Namecheap says a declined card is not charged, but you should still check the order and payment status before retrying. Its published decline guidance names incorrect card details, insufficient balance, issuer fraud controls, failed 3-D Secure verification, and restrictions on international or online purchases as possible causes. Website checkout wording may vary, so use the checks below rather than relying on a particular error message.
- Insufficient available funds: Compare the available balance with the entire USD checkout total, including any applicable fees. If a promotional period or trial is involved, also check what you would owe at the next paid term. Add funds through the options available in Coinepay, if needed, before trying again.
- Incorrect card details or billing mismatch: Re-enter the number, expiry date, and CVV carefully. Make sure your billing information is genuine and consistent with your payment details. Do not substitute an invented address to make a payment appear eligible.
- 3-D Secure cannot be completed: Follow the verification prompt if one appears. If it fails or never completes, stop repeated attempts and ask Coinepay support to check the card-side issue. Namecheap support can help you investigate the checkout or order status.
- Merchant, issuer, or region checks: An online or international payment restriction may affect approval. Namecheap also applies product-specific eligibility rules and excludes sanctioned persons, including those in jurisdictions identified in its terms. Do not use inaccurate account details or attempt to bypass a location rule. If you are unsure whether your card meets an applicable merchant requirement, contact Coinepay support before buying.
If the card still fails, note the time, amount, and any message displayed, without sending your full card number or CVV in a support message. Check with Coinepay about the card transaction and with Namecheap about the order. Neither a listed card type nor sufficient funds guarantees that a particular checkout will be approved.
