Jasper AI is a writing and marketing assistant that sells subscriptions through a self-service checkout and, for larger teams, a sales process. This guide explains what Jasper's billing looks like, how to set up a card at sign-up, and how to troubleshoot a declined payment. It also covers an important card-type rule you need to check before you buy, because Jasper publishes specific restrictions on the payment methods it accepts.
Important: Jasper's card-type restriction
Jasper's own supported-payment-methods help article states that it accepts major credit and debit cards and names Visa, Mastercard and American Express, with payments processed through Stripe. The same article says Jasper excludes PayPal, prepaid cards, virtual cards and cash apps. Jasper also lists "an unsupported prepaid or virtual card" among its documented decline causes.
Because Jasper publishes this restriction, do not assume any particular card will be accepted. Before you subscribe, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your Coinepay card meets Jasper's requirements for this merchant. If it does not, Jasper advises trying another accepted card and asking your issuing bank about any block. Never try to disguise a card or work around a merchant's payment or regional checks.
What you need before you start
- A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. You can register with Coinepay and manage everything from the dashboard or the mobile app (iOS / Google Play).
- Your virtual card details: card number, expiry date and CVV, all shown in the Coinepay app once the card is issued.
- Your real billing details, including the billing address and postal/ZIP code registered to the card. Jasper lists an incorrect card number, ZIP or CVC as common decline causes.
- Enough available balance to cover the plan you choose, plus any taxes Jasper's terms say may apply.
- Confirmation from Coinepay support that your card is suitable for Jasper (see the section above).
Jasper plans and what they cost
Jasper's public pricing page lists two current plans:
| Plan | Who it's for | Price at the time of writing (October 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | One seat, self-service checkout | US$69/month on monthly billing, or US$59/month billed annually (US$708 for a 12-month term) |
| Business | Teams; starts with a Contact Sales conversation | Custom pricing; Jasper says Business commitments begin at 12 months |
Some Business usage is billed through consumption-based credits alongside a platform fee, depending on the workspace or contract. Jasper publishes its prices in USD and says Stripe applies an exchange rate at purchase, so your local-currency total may differ. Prices and plan names change, so always check the official Jasper pricing page before you pay.
Step-by-step: subscribe to Jasper Pro
- Go to Jasper's official pricing page and select the Pro plan. The Pro button starts a seven-day trial. Business instead directs you to Contact Sales.
- Create your Jasper account or sign in. Use your real name and details.
- When prompted, enter your card number, expiry date and CVV exactly as they appear in the Coinepay app.
- Enter the billing address and postal code registered to the card. A mismatch here is a frequent reason a charge is rejected.
- Complete 3D Secure if prompted. Jasper's trial help article says sign-up card authentication uses 3D Secure, so keep your Coinepay app handy to approve the verification.
- Confirm. Jasper's trial help article says a card is required at sign-up and the selected plan is charged after seven days unless you cancel during the trial.
If you are paying through a Business contract, your Jasper sales contact will arrange checkout, and the same card-type and verification rules apply.
Managing your plan and billing details
Once you are in Jasper, plan controls live in the workspace menu:
- Change plan: open the workspace/name menu at top left, then go to Workspace Settings → Plans. Use Edit Plan and Confirm changes to apply an upgrade immediately.
- Invoices and billing info: go to Workspace Settings → Plans → View Billing History. Jasper says this redirects to Stripe, where Update Information edits your billing details. A self-service path specifically for replacing the saved card is not confirmed in Jasper's help center, so contact Jasper support if you need to swap cards.
Troubleshooting a declined payment
Jasper documents several payment-failure messages and causes. Work through these before retrying:
"3D Secure Failed"
Jasper links 3D Secure trouble to a pop-up blocker, a VPN or bank compatibility. Disable pop-up blockers during sign-up, approve the authentication prompt in your Coinepay app, and try again. Do not use tools that mask your location to get around checks.
Insufficient funds or bank rejection
Jasper lists insufficient funds and a bank rejection as decline causes. Check that your Coinepay balance covers the full plan price plus any applicable taxes, then retry.
Incorrect card number, ZIP or CVC
Re-enter the card number, CVV and the billing postal code exactly as shown in your Coinepay app. A billing-address mismatch is a common reason a charge fails.
"Unsupported prepaid or virtual card"
Jasper's help center explicitly excludes virtual and prepaid cards. If you see this, the merchant is rejecting the card type, not a typo. Jasper advises trying another accepted card and asking your issuing bank about a block. You can also ask Coinepay support to confirm your card's suitability, but do not attempt to disguise the card.
"Your workspace has unpaid invoices"
Jasper says an unpaid renewal invoice must be paid to reactivate the workspace. Settle it from the billing area once you have a working, accepted card and enough balance.
Cancellations and refunds
To cancel Pro, go to Workspace Settings → Plans → Cancel and follow every in-app prompt; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing cycle. Cancelling during the seven-day trial stops the first charge.
Refunds are not automatic. Jasper's refund-policy article tells customers to cancel first, then email [email protected] within seven days of the charge, and it limits refunds to the current subscription charge rather than earlier months. Jasper's annual-plan article allows a seven-day cancellation/refund window but otherwise treats annual plans as one-year commitments. Note that Jasper's terms state there are no refunds for cancellation, which conflicts with the help-center process; which wording governs your specific purchase is not clear, so confirm directly with Jasper before relying on a refund.
Regional availability
Jasper's terms prohibit accessing the service from jurisdictions where export or re-export is prohibited by law, and it does not publish a confirmed country-by-country list of eligible checkout regions. Its "all currencies" statement does not mean the service is available everywhere. Use Jasper only where you are genuinely eligible, and remember Coinepay's own services are not available in every jurisdiction.
Quick recap
Check with Coinepay support first because Jasper lists virtual cards among the methods it excludes. If your card is suitable, keep your balance funded, enter your real billing address, approve 3D Secure, and manage your plan from Workspace Settings → Plans. FAQ
Does Jasper AI accept virtual cards?
Jasper's supported-payment-methods help article explicitly excludes virtual cards, prepaid cards, PayPal and cash apps, and names Visa, Mastercard and American Express as accepted. Because of this, contact Coinepay support to confirm whether your card is suitable for Jasper before you subscribe, and never try to disguise the card type.
How much does Jasper Pro cost?
At the time of writing (October 2026), Jasper's pricing page lists Pro at US$69 per month on monthly billing, or US$59 per month billed annually (US$708 for a 12-month term). Business uses custom pricing via Contact Sales. Check Jasper's official pricing page for current rates.
Do I need a card to start the Jasper trial?
Yes. Jasper's trial help article says sign-up requires a card and the selected plan is charged after seven days unless you cancel during the trial. Card authentication at sign-up uses 3D Secure, so keep your Coinepay app ready to approve it.
Why was my Jasper payment declined?
Jasper documents causes including insufficient funds, a bank rejection, an incorrect card number, ZIP or CVC, a 3D Secure failure (often from a pop-up blocker, VPN or bank compatibility), and an unsupported prepaid or virtual card. Check your balance and billing details, disable pop-up blockers, and confirm your card's suitability with Coinepay support.
Can I get a refund from Jasper?
Refunds are not automatic. Jasper's help center says to cancel first, then email [email protected] within seven days of the charge, with refunds limited to the current charge. Jasper's terms state no refunds for cancellation, so the policies differ; confirm with Jasper before relying on a refund.
