You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at Adobe’s checkout when purchasing an eligible Firefly subscription, but payment is subject to Adobe’s checkout requirements and card approval. This guide covers what to prepare, how to review the plan terms, and what to check if a payment fails.
Before you choose a Firefly plan
Adobe lists five individual options: Firefly Free, Firefly Standard, Firefly Pro, Firefly Pro Plus, and Firefly Premium. Free offers limited daily generations. The paid plans include 2,000, 4,000, 10,000, and 50,000 monthly generative credits respectively. Credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Since October 1, 2026, certain Firefly AI Assistant actions have also used paid users’ available AI credits; free users retain a limited daily allowance.
Compare plans on Adobe’s official Firefly plans page for your location. Prices, taxes, promotions, and purchase terms can differ by region. In particular, do not assume a price displayed as “monthly” means you can cancel without an annual commitment: Adobe’s US promotional terms for Pro Plus and Premium specify a 12-month commitment. Read the commitment, renewal price, and cancellation terms shown at checkout before confirming.
Adobe says Firefly is unavailable in Russia, Belarus, and China, and lists other territories where its products and services cannot be used. Its online store also cannot take orders from certain locations because of VAT rules. Use your real location and billing information, and check Adobe’s current availability rules if you are unsure whether you can purchase.
What you need before checkout
- An Adobe account: Create one or sign in with your existing account to purchase directly from Adobe.
- A Coinepay account: Register with Coinepay and complete identity verification before using card services. You can manage your card through the 24/7 self-service dashboard or Coinepay mobile app.
- Your card details: Coinepay issues a virtual card with a card number, expiry date, and CVV. Retrieve the current details from your account rather than relying on an old saved entry.
- Enough available funds: Check your available balance against the total Adobe shows, including any applicable taxes. For a continuing subscription, plan for future renewal charges as well.
- Accurate billing details: Use your real name and the billing address associated with your payment details. Adobe advises checking that the payment method is registered in the same country as the purchase. If you are unsure whether your card meets Adobe’s regional requirements, contact Coinepay support before you buy.
Adobe’s available payment methods vary by location and purchase. Seeing a card-entry option does not establish that any particular card will be accepted. If you need to confirm a card requirement or available Coinepay service, check your account or ask support rather than making assumptions at checkout.
How to subscribe to Adobe Firefly
- Open Adobe’s official Firefly plans page. Select your country or region as appropriate, then compare Free, Standard, Pro, Pro Plus, and Premium. Check the credits and features you expect to use; the official page has the current regional pricing.
- Select the purchase option. Choose Buy now, or Free trial if Adobe offers one for the plan you selected. Sign in to your Adobe account or create one when prompted.
- Review the order. Check the plan name, amount due now, taxes, billing frequency, renewal amount, and any trial or annual-commitment terms. Confirm the terms that appear in your checkout, particularly if you selected a promotional offer.
- Enter your Coinepay card information. If Adobe offers card payment for your purchase, copy the card number, expiry date, and CVV from your Coinepay dashboard or app. Enter your real billing details as requested. Review every field before submitting.
- Complete any verification prompt. If checkout presents an authentication step, follow its instructions and do not close the window until Adobe gives you a result. A submitted form alone is not proof that the order succeeded.
- Confirm the purchase result. Look for Adobe’s order confirmation and check your Adobe account for the subscription. For a direct individual purchase, invoices are available under Orders and invoices. If there is no confirmation, check the account before attempting another order.
If you buy through the Apple App Store or Google Play instead of directly from Adobe, that store handles the payment method. The Adobe account path for changing a directly purchased plan’s card does not replace the store’s payment settings.
If Adobe declines the card
A decline can come from more than one part of checkout. Adobe identifies bank declines, expired cards, insufficient funds, and invalid or changed card details as possible causes of failed payments. Work through the checks below without repeatedly submitting unchanged details.
Insufficient balance or outdated card details
Compare the available funds shown in Coinepay with Adobe’s full checkout total, not just the advertised plan price. Taxes may change the amount due. Verify each digit of the card number, the expiry date, and the CVV against your current card details. If a renewal fails after card details have changed, update the saved payment method rather than retrying an outdated card.
Billing-address or country mismatch
Recheck the name, address, postal code, and selected Adobe store country for mistakes. Adobe advises using a payment method registered in the same country as the purchase. A card or billing-country mismatch may require more than correcting a typo. Do not enter an invented address or change regions to bypass a check. Ask Adobe about its purchase rules and Coinepay support about your card if you cannot determine whether it qualifies.
Authentication did not finish
If a 3-D Secure or other verification prompt appears, complete the steps it provides and return to Adobe to see the final result. If the prompt fails to load or times out, try again after checking your browser’s pop-up and network settings. Authentication requirements can also affect later recurring payments: Adobe notes that renewals involving Indian-issued Visa or Mastercard cards can fail without bank authentication required for recurring-payment mandates. Do not assume that an adequate balance resolves an authentication failure.
Adobe still cannot process the payment
A Firefly Pro Plus user report from July 2026 described this checkout message: “Your payment couldn't be processed. Please check your payment details.” The report did not establish the cause, so the wording alone cannot tell you whether the problem is funds, authentication, or a regional check. Save the exact error text, note the plan and Adobe store country, and contact Adobe support about the checkout. If Adobe indicates the card was declined or you need to verify card details, contact Coinepay support as well. Never send your full card number or CVV in an ordinary support message.
Manage the payment method or cancel later
For an individual Firefly plan bought directly from Adobe, sign in to your Adobe account and go to Plans and payment → Change payment → Add new or Edit to update the billing card. Check Orders and invoices for invoices. If you purchased through an app store, change the payment method through that store instead.
To cancel a direct Adobe purchase, go to Plans and payment → Manage plan → Cancel your plan → Confirm cancellation. A third-party purchase follows the seller’s cancellation process. Adobe says most plans qualify for a full refund if canceled within 14 days of initial purchase, but the terms of your selected plan control. After that period, a monthly plan without an annual commitment is generally non-refundable for the current period; a US annual plan billed monthly can carry an early-termination fee of 50% of the remaining contract balance. Paid access generally continues through the current billing period after cancellation. Review the cancellation screen before confirming so you understand the terms for your order.
