Freepik Premium unlocks the platform's library and AI image and video tools on a recurring subscription. This guide walks through paying for it with a Coinepay virtual card: what to prepare, how the sign-up and checkout flow works, and what to try when a payment is declined. A quick note before you start: Freepik announced in April 2026 that it is becoming Magnific, and its help center states that existing Freepik accounts and subscriptions carry over, so you may see either name across the site.

What you need before you start

Freepik's payment help page lists credit and debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay for website subscriptions, and it says cards must support online, international and recurring payments. The networks it names explicitly are Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Gather the following:

  • A Coinepay account with identity verification (KYC) completed. Register at the Coinepay sign-up page and finish verification before you try to buy.
  • A Coinepay virtual card issued from your dashboard, with its card number, expiry date and CVV ready. You can manage everything from the 24/7 dashboard or the Coinepay app on iOS and Google Play.
  • Enough available balance on the card to cover the plan plus any VAT or local tax, which Freepik notes are added on top of the displayed price.
  • Your real billing details — name, address and postal/ZIP code — exactly as they appear on your Coinepay account.
Freepik requires cards that allow international and recurring charges. If you are unsure whether your Coinepay card meets this, contact Coinepay support to confirm before you buy.

Freepik Premium plans and prices

The current individual pricing display shows plans named Free, Premium, Premium+, Pro (Pro Starter and a selectable higher-credit option), Business and Enterprise. At the time of writing (October 2026), the US-dollar display shows Premium at $20/month on monthly billing, or $14.50/month billed annually (a monthly-equivalent figure, not a monthly charge). Premium+ shows $45/month or $33.75/month billed annually.

Prices vary by region and currency, and the displayed figures exclude VAT and local taxes, so your final amount can differ. Always confirm the plan name, billing cycle and total on the official Freepik (Magnific) pricing page before paying — treat the live checkout as the authority.

Step-by-step: subscribe and pay

  1. Create or log in to your account. Use Sign in on the Freepik site and register with email and password, Google or Apple. You can enter the Free tier first and upgrade later.
  2. Open the pricing page. Review the plans and choose Premium. Toggle between monthly and annual billing to see which price applies.
  3. Select Premium and continue to checkout. Click the Premium option to start the purchase. A subscription becomes active only after payment is received or authorized.
  4. Choose card as the payment method. On the payment screen, pick the credit/debit card option rather than PayPal or a wallet.
  5. Enter your Coinepay virtual card details. Type the card number, expiry date and CVV, then the billing name and address that match your Coinepay profile. An invalid ZIP/postal code or tax-number format is one of the checkout problems Freepik lists, so enter these carefully.
  6. Complete any 3-D Secure step. If your bank/issuer prompts for authentication, approve it in the Coinepay app or follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. Confirm and check the amount. Review the total, which may include VAT, then submit. Freepik sends an invoice after purchase.
  8. Verify the subscription. Open your profile picture → Plan & billing. The Subscriptions tab holds Update payment detail and Billing history for PDF invoices.

Troubleshooting a declined card

Freepik's help page lists specific payment-error labels, including "Card declined," "Insufficient funds," "Transaction blocked by bank," "Expired card," "3D Secure / authentication failed," and "URL confirmation not found." Here is how to approach the most common causes.

Insufficient funds

Remember the displayed price excludes VAT, so the charge can be higher than the plan figure. Check your Coinepay card balance in the dashboard or app and top it up, leaving headroom for tax, then retry.

Billing address or ZIP mismatch

If the "Card declined" or an invalid-postal-code message appears, make sure the billing name, address and postal code at checkout exactly match the details on your Coinepay account. Even small differences can cause a verification failure.

3-D Secure / authentication failed

This means the identity check didn't complete. Make sure notifications are enabled in the Coinepay app, approve the prompt promptly, and avoid closing the window early. Freepik also notes that ad/pop-up blockers or a proxy can interfere with checkout — disable them for the payment page. If you see "URL confirmation not found" or "Action timed out / Network error," refresh and start the checkout again.

International or recurring payments disabled

Freepik requires cards that support online, international and recurring charges. If you hit "Transaction blocked by bank," confirm with Coinepay support that your virtual card is enabled for these before trying again.

Expired card

If you see "Expired card," issue or check a current Coinepay virtual card and update the details under Plan & billing → Subscriptions → Update payment detail.

Region and merchant checks

Freepik does not publish a definitive list of countries where subscriptions cannot be bought, and it warns against assuming a countrywide ban from a single decline. One confirmed regional note: in India, recurring-payment authentication can disrupt renewals, upgrades and credit purchases, and UPI and local wallets are not supported for its direct checkout. Whether any specific merchant accepts a given card can depend on the bank, browser and region, so if a card is declined, work through the checks above and contact Coinepay support if it persists.

Managing, cancelling and refunds

Website subscriptions renew automatically. To stop renewal, go to Plan & billing → Danger zone → Cancel a subscription → Cancel subscription before the renewal date; paid access continues through the current billing period. Cancelling is not itself a refund.

For an individual plan, a refund must be requested within 30 days of payment, for the current billing period, with no Magnific/Flaticon downloads and no AI-credit use during that period. Submit the request from your account email via the support form under Subscriptions & Payments → Request a refund → Current invoice. The company says approved refunds return to the original payment method, typically in 5–10 business days — so keep the Coinepay card you paid with active to receive it. A wholly unused extra-credit pack has a separate 14-day refund window. If you ever buy through Apple's App Store or Google Play instead of the website, cancellations and refunds must go through that store.

Using Coinepay for other subscriptions

A single Coinepay virtual card can cover software, AI tools, advertising and online shopping, all managed from one dashboard. Businesses can issue a dedicated card per ad account with custom spending limits. For card-capability questions — such as whether your card supports international and recurring payments — reach the team via support or Telegram.
