Coinepay supports transfers to Poland. You can choose a destination, enter your recipient’s details, review the exchange rate and fees before confirming, and track the transfer afterward. This guide explains what to prepare for a bank deposit or cash pickup, and how to check which payout methods are available for your transfer.
What you need before sending money to Poland
- A verified Coinepay account. Register and complete identity verification before starting a transfer. You can manage transfers through the Coinepay mobile app or 24/7 self-service dashboard.
- Your recipient’s full legal name. Ask for the name they use with their bank or on the identity document they will present for cash pickup. Check the spelling before you confirm.
- Details for the payout method. For a bank deposit, ask for the account number or IBAN and any bank details requested in the transfer flow. For cash pickup, make sure the recipient can visit an available pickup location and present the required identification.
- The purpose of the transfer. Be ready to explain what the payment is for and, if requested, provide supporting documents or information about the source of funds.
Poland’s local currency is the Polish złoty (PLN). Select Poland as the destination, then choose from the currencies and payout options displayed for your transfer. Do not assume that every payout method or receiving currency is available for every transaction; check the options in the app before entering recipient details.
Choose a payout method in Poland
Bank-account deposit
Bank deposit sends the payment to the recipient’s bank account. Ask the recipient to copy their details from their bank’s app or statement rather than typing them from memory. A Polish domestic bank account number, called an NRB, has 26 digits. Its international IBAN has 28 characters: the letters PL followed by those 26 digits. The NRB includes an eight-digit bank sort code; it does not use a separate US routing number, IFSC or CLABE.
The details you must enter depend on the bank-payment route shown during setup. A local PLN payout may ask for the recipient’s full name and Polish IBAN or 26-digit domestic account number. If the transfer requires international bank details, obtain the recipient’s full account name, IBAN and their bank’s SWIFT/BIC. The flow may also request the bank’s name and address. Follow the fields shown in Coinepay and ask the recipient’s bank to confirm any detail you are unsure about. For example, a recipient who banks with PKO Bank Polski, Bank Pekao, ING Bank Śląski or mBank should obtain their own account details from that bank; the bank’s name alone is not enough to identify their account.
Mobile wallet
Coinepay supports mobile-wallet payouts as a remittance method generally, but do not assume one is available for a transfer to Poland. Check whether mobile wallet appears among the Poland payout choices in the app. If it does, use the exact wallet option shown and ask the recipient for the registered name and wallet details requested there. The recipient may need access to that wallet to receive and use the funds.
Do not enter a BLIK phone number as a substitute for bank or wallet details unless the transfer flow specifically offers and requests that payout method. A generally available international-remittance payout to a Polish mobile wallet or BLIK number is not confirmed. If no wallet option appears, choose an available bank-deposit or cash-pickup option instead.
Cash pickup
Cash pickup lets the recipient collect money at a participating location when that option is available for your transfer. Enter their full legal name exactly as it appears on the identification they will use. Before sending, check the available pickup instructions and make sure the recipient can reach the designated location.
Tell the recipient to bring the identification required by the pickup provider and any collection information specified in the transfer instructions, such as a reference number if one is issued. The pickup provider may check the recipient’s identity before releasing funds. Do not share collection information with anyone other than the intended recipient.
How to send money to Poland step by step
- Sign in to your verified account. Open the Coinepay app or dashboard and start a Global Remittance transfer. If you have not registered, create a Coinepay account and complete the required verification first.
- Choose the destination and currency. Select Poland, enter the amount and choose from the sending and receiving currencies offered for that transfer. If the recipient expects PLN, check the displayed receiving currency rather than assuming it.
- Select an available payout method. Choose bank deposit, cash pickup or another method only if it appears for your Poland transfer. Enter the recipient’s full legal name and the details requested for that method. For bank deposit, check every character of the IBAN or every digit of the NRB.
- Review the transfer. Check the recipient, payout details, currency and amount. Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees before you confirm. Read that summary so you understand what you are authorizing and what the recipient is shown as receiving.
- Confirm and follow the status. Confirm only when the details are correct. Then use the transfer’s status tracking in the app or dashboard. If you selected cash pickup, give the recipient the collection instructions once they are available and it is appropriate to collect.
Keep any confirmation or transfer reference until the recipient has received the funds. If Coinepay requests additional information after you submit, respond through the available account or support channels rather than starting another transfer to work around the review.
What the recipient should know
For a bank deposit, the recipient should confirm that the account can receive the selected currency and ask their bank how it handles incoming international payments. The bank may process or convert an incoming payment according to its own arrangements. A correct IBAN identifies an account, but it is still important that the recipient name and any requested bank details are accurate.
For cash pickup, the recipient should check the pickup instructions, location and identification requirements before traveling. Collection is subject to the provider’s checks and local rules. If a wallet payout is offered, the recipient should confirm that the specified wallet is theirs and can receive that type of payment before you confirm the transfer.
An incoming payment can also have tax or record-keeping implications depending on why the recipient is receiving it. For example, a gift may be treated differently from payment for work or goods under Polish rules. The recipient should retain relevant records and seek qualified local tax advice if unsure. The fact that money came from abroad does not, by itself, determine its tax treatment.
Troubleshooting a Poland transfer
- Wrong name, IBAN or account number: Check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference and the correct details. Do not assume a submitted transfer can be edited or stopped. A receiving bank may reject and return a payment when the details are wrong.
- Compliance review: Transfers are subject to identity verification, sanctions screening and local regulations. Coinepay may ask for documents about the payment’s purpose or source of funds. Provide accurate information through the requested channel; do not split or reroute payments to avoid a check.
- Transfer taking longer than expected: First check status tracking for an update or request for information. Funding, currency conversion, security checks, recipient-bank processing, weekends, public holidays or a payout-provider issue can affect progress. If the status is unclear, contact support with your transfer reference.
- Returned transfer: Look for a status update and ask support why the payment was returned before trying again. Confirm the recipient’s legal name, account format and bank details—or the cash-pickup requirements—so you do not repeat the same error.
Coinepay does not serve sanctioned persons or residents of jurisdictions under comprehensive sanctions, and customers and counterparties are screened against sanctions lists. For questions about an available Poland payout method or a transfer already in progress, use Coinepay support.

FAQ
What bank details do I need to send money to Poland?
Ask for the recipient’s full legal name and Polish IBAN (PL plus 26 digits) or 26-digit domestic account number, as requested in the transfer flow. An international bank-payment route may also require the bank’s SWIFT/BIC, name and address.
Can my recipient collect cash in Poland?
Choose cash pickup if it appears for your transfer. The recipient should follow the collection instructions and bring the identification required by the pickup provider.
Can I send to a BLIK number or Polish mobile wallet?
Do not assume BLIK or a mobile wallet is available as a Poland remittance payout. Check the methods offered in the Coinepay app, and enter wallet details only if a wallet option is explicitly provided.
When will I see the exchange rate and fees?
Coinepay shows the exchange rate and fees for your transfer before you confirm it.
What if I entered the wrong Polish IBAN?
Check the transfer status and contact Coinepay support promptly with the transfer reference. Do not assume the transfer can be changed after submission; an incorrect account number may cause the payment to be rejected and returned.
