You can enter a Coinepay virtual card at DeepL Pro’s online checkout, but a successful payment depends on DeepL’s checks and your card transaction being approved. This guide covers the current DeepL Translator plans, what to prepare, how to review the order, and what to check if your card is declined.
Before you start
Register for Coinepay and complete identity verification before using its card services. Once your virtual card is issued, its card number, expiry date, and CVV are available immediately. You can manage the card through Coinepay’s 24/7 self-service dashboard or mobile app. Check the app for your available funds and any card settings relevant to the payment; if you need help with an unfamiliar setting, contact Coinepay support.
You will also need an email address, a password for your DeepL account, and your real billing address. Check that your location is on DeepL’s current list of places where paid plans can be purchased. That list includes the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, and EU member states, but availability is not universal. DeepL also lists restricted territories. Do not change your location or billing details to get around its eligibility or payment checks.
Check DeepL’s official pricing page for the plan, billing period, and total that apply to your billing country. DeepL says checkout billing country determines billing currency: EUR for the EU, UK, Norway, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein; JPY for Japan; CAD for Canada; and USD for other supported countries. An existing DeepL account cannot change its billing country or currency through self-service, so review those details before placing an order.
Choose the right DeepL Pro plan
The current DeepL Translator pricing page lists Individual, Team, Business, and Enterprise alongside a Free version. Older names such as Starter, Advanced, Ultimate, or Classic may still appear in material about legacy subscriptions. Translator subscriptions do not include DeepL API access; if you need the API, look at DeepL’s separate API plans.
| Plan | Next step on DeepL’s pricing page |
|---|---|
| Individual | Choose monthly or annual billing, then select Try for free. |
| Team | Choose monthly or annual billing, then select Try for free. |
| Business | Choose monthly or annual billing, then select Buy now. |
| Enterprise | Select Contact Sales; follow the sales process rather than expecting the same direct checkout. |
Individual and Team advertise a 30-day trial. DeepL says you are ineligible if you have previously used a trial, and an uncancelled trial automatically becomes the paid subscription you selected. Annual billing is paid in full after any trial; monthly billing is due at the beginning of each billing period. Review the order summary rather than assuming the displayed monthly equivalent is the amount charged today. Prices and available options can depend on your region.
Pay for DeepL Pro with your Coinepay card
- Prepare your card. Register for Coinepay if needed, complete identity verification, and open your virtual card details in the dashboard or app. Check that you have enough available funds for the amount shown at DeepL checkout. For an annual subscription, consider the full annual charge, not just a monthly equivalent shown on the pricing page.
- Open DeepL’s official pricing page. Choose the DeepL Translator plan you want and select monthly or annual billing if offered. Use Try for free for Individual or Team, Buy now for Business, or Contact Sales for Enterprise.
- Enter your account and billing details. For direct online checkout, provide your email address, password, and real billing address. Make sure the billing country and address accurately reflect your details before continuing.
- Enter the virtual card details. Copy the card number, expiry date, and CVV from Coinepay into DeepL’s payment form. Check each field for typing errors. Follow any authentication prompt presented during payment.
- Review before confirming. DeepL displays an order summary before the final order button. Check the plan, billing period, billing country, currency, trial terms if applicable, and amount due. Only place the order if those details are correct.
DeepL lists several accepted credit and debit card brands, but that list does not establish whether a particular Coinepay card or transaction will be approved. If you need to confirm that your card meets a payment requirement before buying, contact Coinepay support. DeepL says PayPal is not accepted. Its other payment options have separate conditions: SEPA Direct Debit is available for eligible individual and team plans, while bank transfer is chiefly for eligible business customers purchasing annual Team or Business subscriptions. Selecting bank transfer at sign-up removes the free trial.
If DeepL declines the card
A declined payment does not, by itself, identify the cause. Work through these checks instead of repeatedly submitting unchanged details:
- Insufficient available funds: Compare the amount due in DeepL’s order summary with the funds available to your card in Coinepay. Annual billing can require the full annual amount after a trial. Check the amount again before retrying.
- Incorrect card information or billing-address mismatch: Re-enter the card number, expiry date, and CVV carefully. Check that the billing address you gave DeepL is your real address and matches the details associated with the payment. Correct genuine mistakes; do not substitute an address in another country.
- 3-D Secure authentication: DeepL identifies missing 3-D Secure support or a blocked authentication pop-up as possible reasons for failure. If a verification window should appear, allow the legitimate prompt and complete it. If authentication is not available or keeps failing, ask Coinepay support to help you check the card transaction.
- Issuer or merchant region checks: DeepL identifies issuer restrictions as another possible cause. Verify that your billing country is supported for paid DeepL plans and that your account details are accurate. Contact Coinepay support if you need help understanding a card restriction, and contact DeepL if its checkout rejects an otherwise accurate billing location. Neither a listed card brand nor a supported billing country guarantees approval.
If an existing subscription’s charge fails, check your payment details promptly. DeepL says its payment provider may retry a failed card charge several times over several days. A subscription suspended for arrears is reactivated once the outstanding amount is collected. To replace a card on an existing direct subscription, go to Account → Payment method in DeepL.
Manage billing and avoid an unwanted renewal
After subscribing directly through DeepL, use Account → Billing information to update details for future billing, Billing to find invoices, and Subscription to view plan and cancellation controls. Updating billing information is different from changing the payment method.
To cancel a directly purchased subscription, go to Account → Subscription → Cancel subscription at least one day before the next scheduled payment. Signing out or deleting an app does not cancel the subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly or annual billing period; DeepL does not give credit for unused time on an ordinary early cancellation. Cancelling during a trial prevents its paid renewal.
If you believe you qualify for a refund or a statutory withdrawal right, contact DeepL through its help-center chat. DeepL’s terms describe a 14-day withdrawal right for qualifying consumers where mandatory law applies, not an automatic refund for every customer; a proportionate charge may apply for service already provided.

FAQ
Can I use a Coinepay virtual card for a DeepL Pro trial?
You can enter your card at checkout for an eligible Individual or Team trial, but payment approval is not guaranteed. DeepL says previous trial users are ineligible and an uncancelled trial converts to a paid subscription.
Why does DeepL show a different charge from the monthly price on its pricing page?
A monthly figure displayed with annual billing is a monthly equivalent. DeepL charges the annual subscription in full after any trial; check the checkout order summary for the amount due.
Where do I change my card for an existing DeepL subscription?
For a subscription bought directly from DeepL, go to Account → Payment method in your DeepL account.
Does a DeepL Translator subscription include API access?
No. DeepL API access requires a separate API plan.
