Google Drive storage for a personal account is sold through Google One, the subscription that upgrades the free space shared across Drive, Gmail and Google Photos. This guide shows how to subscribe or pay for a Google One plan using a Coinepay virtual card, from the details you need to the checkout steps, and how to work through the most common card-declined messages.

If you have not created a Coinepay account yet, register here and complete identity verification (KYC) first. Card services require verification, and card issuance and fund services are provided by Coinepay's licensed partner financial institutions. You can manage everything from the 24/7 dashboard or the Coinepay app for iOS and Google Play.

Before you start: what you need

Have the following ready so checkout goes smoothly:

  • A personal Google Account. Google One is for personal accounts; Google Workspace accounts cannot subscribe to Google One.
  • A Coinepay virtual card with its card number, expiry date and CVV, which appear instantly in your Coinepay dashboard after you create the card.
  • Enough available balance on the card to cover the first charge plus each recurring renewal.
  • Your real billing details (name and billing address) entered exactly as they appear on your Coinepay profile.

Google One availability follows your account's Google Play country or region, and the plans and prices you see depend on your location. Always confirm the amount on the signed-in checkout page rather than relying on figures from an article.

Google One plans at a glance

Google lists personal plans named Lite (30 GB, selected countries), Basic (100 GB), Standard (200 GB), Google AI Plus (400 GB or 2 TB), Google AI Pro (5 TB), and Google AI Ultra (20 TB or 30 TB). The storage figure is your total account storage, not extra space added to the free 15 GB. The exact options available depend on where your account is registered.

At the time of writing (October 2026), Google displayed U.S. prices of Basic 100 GB at $1.99/month, Google AI Plus 2 TB at $9.99/month and Google AI Pro 5 TB at $19.99/month; in India, Lite 30 GB showed ₹59/month, Basic 100 GB ₹130/month and Google AI Pro 5 TB ₹1,950/month. These are displayed offers, not a full price list, and they vary by region. Check the current price on Google's official plans page and on the checkout screen before you confirm.

Step-by-step: subscribe on a computer

  1. Create or open your Coinepay virtual card in the dashboard or app and note the card number, expiry and CVV.
  2. Go to the Google One site (one.google.com) and sign in with your personal Google Account.
  3. Select Upgrade, then choose the storage limit and plan you want.
  4. Review the price and the next payment date shown on screen.
  5. Choose to add a payment method and enter your Coinepay card number, expiry date and CVV.
  6. Enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your Coinepay profile, so the details match.
  7. Click Subscribe to confirm. If prompted, complete any 3-D Secure verification step through your Coinepay app.

Google One lists supported payment methods including credit cards, U.S. bank accounts, PayPal and Google Play balance in selected countries, and the exact options depend on your location and purchase route. For U.S. Google Play, the listed card networks are American Express, Discover, JCB, Mastercard and Visa; for India, Mastercard and Visa are listed, with UPI AutoPay available for recurring Google One payments. Whether any specific card works at a given checkout can depend on the merchant and your region, so if the card is not accepted, use the troubleshooting steps below or contact Coinepay support.

Change the card on an existing membership

If you already subscribe and want to move billing to your Coinepay card, the path depends on how you were billed. For a Google-billed membership, open Google One → Settings → Change payment method. For a Play-billed subscription, go to Google Play → My subscriptions → Google One → Manage → Primary payment method → Update. Your Google payments profile and its alerts live at payments.google.com.

If your Google One membership was sold through a partner (a partner-billed membership), changes to the payment method, cancellation and refunds are handled by that seller, not inside Google One's own payment settings. Contact the seller directly in that case.

Troubleshooting a declined card

Google documents several error messages, including "Unable to process payment: low card balance," "Unable to complete transaction: expired card," "Correct this card info or try another card," and "Your transaction cannot be completed." Some users have also reported codes such as OR-CCSEH-05 when adding a card, though a code alone does not identify the cause. Work through the checks below.

Insufficient balance

A low-balance message usually means the card cannot cover the charge. Check your available balance in the Coinepay app and top up so it covers both the first payment and each future renewal. Remember Google One renews automatically, so keep enough on the card for the next cycle.

Billing address or card details mismatch

A mismatched billing address is a documented decline cause. Re-enter the card number, expiry and CVV carefully, and make sure the billing address you type matches the details on your Coinepay profile. A small typo in any field can trigger "Correct this card info or try another card."

3-D Secure verification

If a transaction needs extra confirmation, complete the 3-D Secure prompt in your Coinepay app promptly. If you miss or dismiss it, the payment can fail and you may need to retry from the Google One checkout.

Issuer or merchant region checks

Declines can also come from issuer restrictions, a payments-profile alert that needs verification, or fraud screening. Google One availability follows your account's Google Play country or region, and moving country can require a new payments profile. Make sure your Google account region and your real billing details are consistent. If the card is declined for a reason you cannot resolve, contact Coinepay support to confirm your card is active and suitable for this purchase before trying again.

Use your real identity and real billing details throughout. Do not attempt to work around a product's regional or payment checks.

Cancellation and refunds

To cancel a Google-billed membership, go to Google One → Settings → Cancel membership. Ordinary cancellation leaves you with access through the end of the current paid billing period. Note that storage purchases are non-refundable in most countries even if you cancel early, though local withdrawal rights and exceptions may apply; Google describes an immediate cancellation with a prorated refund in Israel as one example. Review Google's current terms before subscribing.

FAQ

Is Google Drive storage the same as Google One?

Personal Google Drive storage is sold through Google One, which upgrades the 15 GB shared free across Drive, Gmail and Photos. Google Workspace is a separate business subscription and cannot subscribe to Google One.

Which Coinepay card details do I enter at Google One checkout?

Enter the card number, expiry date and CVV shown in your Coinepay dashboard or app, along with a billing address that matches your Coinepay profile. Complete any 3-D Secure prompt in the Coinepay app.

Why was my card declined on Google One?

Common documented causes include low balance, an expired or mistyped card, a mismatched billing address, issuer restrictions or a payments-profile alert. Check each, and contact Coinepay support if you cannot resolve it.

How much does a Google One plan cost?

Prices vary by region and plan. At the time of writing (October 2026) U.S. Basic 100 GB was $1.99/month, but you should confirm the current amount on Google's official plans page and the signed-in checkout.

Can I get a refund if I cancel early?

Google states storage purchases are non-refundable in most countries even if cancelled early, with some local exceptions. Cancelling normally keeps access until the end of the paid period. Review Google's terms first.
